I got a pin.... NOT!!!

it was addressed to my son's ex girlfriend.... Her name is Dannielle M*****... but the card came in Daniel M***** with my address .... Been waiting forever to get a pin. Now I get one that I can't use!!! The thing is since she received one there will probably be more to follow that I still cant use!!! I have entered my name and address every way that I know how to get a pin... Still no luck!!

I hear ya. I got one sent to my main email address under a friend of mine's name from high school. We never went to WDW together and I haven't seen her in years! Tried changing my address under 'my account' but it says it's my name & address!

I used to sing the no-pin-blues, too. We didn't start getting any pins until we bought an AP...and NOW we have gotten several pin offers since January, when we bought our first APs. One pin was totally useless to us (a kids stay & play for free pin...our youngest "baby" is 21, lol.) The other two were actually duplicates of the same offer (2 different pin numbers on emails received 1 week apart) and that one was also useless because our AP room rates were a bigger discount. So even when/if you get pin numbers, not necessarily something you can use.

You may be able to use it.

If you live at the address the PIN was sent to and the name on the PIN does NOT live there.. they will frequently let you use it anyway.

The only way to know - is to call and ask. One way to help is to let them know you don't know who Danielle M. is and she does not live there.

Happens to me all the time!
I have had them sent to my ex's address in the same town, my neighbor with my last name and someone else's first name, my G-Mom who is 85, my ex's wife (who has never been there)..... it's really crazy.

And, I firmly do believe they do a skip trace or something for addresses - the same look up that agencies use to find you.

But, alas.... I am an PAP holder so the deals aren't geared toward that anyhow.

But, I am sending good luck to you, one will come!

I agree with this! You really should call. I received a postcard with the pin for QSD free for this summer. It was addressed to my father, who does not live with me and I have never traveled with. I called and explained it to them and they said since they could verify that it was indeed my address on the postcard that they could activate it and I could use it.

I had also received a pin for the 20/30/40 and since that was a bigger savings for us I used that one instead but they would have let me use the one addressed to my Dad. Give it a try!!

UGH! I got the SAME pin again for my high school friend! I'm currently on hold with Disney trying to do something about fixing this so it stops happening!

That's SOOO annoying. I still get them for my ex of several years now in my email. Everytime I get one it gets me all fired up and I write guest services AGAIN asking to have him removed from my name. No such luck, I've even tried fibbing a little, but even being dead doesn't get someone off your account!

I called the main line yesterday about it. She couldn't figure out why I was getting them as they have all my correct info on record and all of her correct info on record. She put me on hold and came back on the line and asked me to print the email and fax it over to someone in Guest Services. I wrote a small note with it as well. I just hope I stop receiving them for someone who isn't me! We'll see what happens!
