I GOT A PIN, I got a Pin, I got a pin!!!

I have rec'd a pin 1x in the mail and 1x in an email. I really want this one but it hasn't come - bummer! Enjoy your trip!!

what does it say? how do you know it is PIN for FD?

I received an email, at bottom are bunch of numbers- is this a pin?:confused3
Mine said "A Delicious Deal, XXXXX Family". It was from vacation@ registration.disneyworld.com (Disney Destinations)

The email had of drawing of Lady and the Tramp sharing spaghetti near the top and lists the savings per person based on a 5-night stay.

Those numbers at the bottom of the email might be a pin code but my email specifically states that it is a PIN right next to the numbers.

I got a pin too......so here's my question....

I want to take my Mom with us. Can I book free dining/room for DH, DD (11), me and my Mom.....and squeeze my little guy in? He sleeps with us anyway......and we would be doing QSDP.....so could I just pay OOP for his meals and buy his tickets there?

I just wanted to re-ask this question.

Is there any reason I couldn't do this?

I realize rooms are meant for 4....but if we are willing to be a little cramped?? We are in the room for sleeping purposes only......my Dad passed this week.....and I really want to get my Mom on a little vacation. Therefore, the reason I'm needing to figure out how to do this, as budget as possible.

Also......can I pay the difference and upgrade to the regular dining plan instead of QSDP??

Your question was answered.

Everyone in your party has to be listed on the reservation.

You can use your code for two rooms. So book a room for your family and one for your mom.

Or you could crowd everyone into a room that actually sleeps 5 people instead of crowding them into a room designed for 4 people. Like a POR trundle room or a deluxe with a daybed or a deluxe villa.

If saving money is the goal, you will also have to lie about the age of one of the adults since they charge extra for the 3rd adult in the room.

Just upgrade to POR or get a second value room.

I keep getting pins but with 2 of my 3 kids being 10+ and having 3 kids making us 5 in a room....cannot justify the expense...

so we're offsite AGAIN.

Bonnet Creek 2 bedroom $600 for 6 nights over spring break.

:thumbsup2

You are correct it was answered.....by a couple of you. I was wanting more input from others.........

My condolences on the loss of your father. I understand why you want to make this vacation happen for both yourself and your mother.

Unfortunately there are laws that Disney has to abide by with regard to room occupancy. The fire marshall for the area sets those occupancy limits. Disney needs to have the names of all guests that are staying in a room. It is a standard rule throughout the hotel industry. There have been reports of guests being asked to either leave or upgrade to a room that will suit their party at rack rate. Personally, I have never seen it but I don't pay much attention to other guests unless they are having an impact on my own enjoyment. Do you really want to risk having to upgrade to a deluxe resort in order to salvage your vacation?

Sneaking your little guy in just isn't right, regardless of the reason why you want to do it. If you cannot afford the high price of two onsite rooms, then there are quite a few offsite resorts that can accommodate your party for much less than Disney charges. You might want to research a few. You may find that the cost of discounted tickets, the room and paying OOP for meals is less expensive than staying onsite with free dining.

I have priced it out with my Mom as the 3rd adult.....so no I won't have to LIE about that. I guess if I have to squeeze my son in....to get my mom on a much needed little trip, after looking after my Dad for years being terminally ill.....than I guess I can live with myself....but thanks for the snarky responses!:sad2:

Why are you rolling your eyes?:rotfl2:

Do what you feel comfortable with. (and hope you don't get caught) Do you really need encouragement from the DIS?

Nope...not at all. Just wanted a few opinions. You have given yours........so let it be, that's all. No need to continue on giving snarky responses.

That was not a snarky response.

You are looking for posters to say you can get away with breaking a rule. Some will say go for it. Others will say upgrade, book another value room or stay off site.

I'm sure you already know that you can get away with doing it. If that's you want to do, knock yourself out.

How do I get a PIN?? What do I have to do to get on the "list"? We are planning a trip in July and a PIN would go a long way in helping us decide where and how long to stay.

Any advice?

Pretty much everything you have posted, has a snarky undertone. I am not looking for posters to say anything......I just choose to live my life with a positive attitude. I can get my point across to others, without coming off rude, that's all. I guess not everyone can. You have made your opinion known......now just let it be.....geesh.

I'll cross my fingers for you! The PIN is really nice to have.....I don't have a any advice...but I sure hope you get one!;)

It's a mystery. Seriously.

Make sure that you're on their radar by registering at the Disney website. Order a vacation planning DVD. Plan a couple of trips on the website and save the details without committing to a trip. Some people feel that this will trigger a PIN email or postcard.

Unfortunately, I think that they are done sending out their PINs for this offer. But there will probably be another offer for the summer coming out after March 27. That's when the booking window closes for the current Kids Stay & Play Free deal.

I wasn't rude or snarky. You just didn't like my answer.:confused3

Go to Disney's site and fill out everything. I have no idea how they decide who get's a pin. I tend to get several each year (WDW, DCL and DVC).

Also try calling CRO. Ask them to check to see if you have a pin attached to your name. My last trip was booked with a pin I had no idea about until I called to make our reservation.:cool1:
