So I've heard a ton about this place, and hubby and I are huge steak people, so whats the best steak they have in your opinion??

What other things do I have to try while there??

I was surprised to get a 5:55 reservation in late September now...people make it seem very hard to get a ressie there...did I justs get lucky?

I think you got lucky! :goodvibes

DH and I have had all 3 of these and they have all been FABULOUS. My personal preference is the Filet with wild mushroom risotto.:faint: LeCellier is the one and only place DH cares about eating when were are at Disney.
For me, my true love here is the Cheddar Cheese Soup. :lovestruc :lovestruc

New York Strip Steak - with bercy butter, balsamic red onions, watercress, and roasted Yukon potatoes, $34.99

Herb Crusted Prime Rib - roasted Yukon potatoes, finished with Au Jus and horseradish cream sauce $25.99

Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon - with wild mushroom risotto, white truffle and herb butter sauce $34.99

It's all good so enjoy!!! :)

mushroom filet...the best in WDW, IMHO.

get one order of the cheese soup, asking for it to arrive with the pretzel bread. It makes a wonderful "dip" for the bread. (pay OOP if you're on regular DDP, it's worth it.)

chocolate "moose" mousse...maple creme brulee

blue glowtini

I wanna go, too.;)

I hate hate HATE mushrooms, can I order it without the mushrooms??

We got the prime rib with cream cheese mashed potatoes instead of the yukon ones...it was delicious......also do try the soup.....with the pretzel bread too...

In that case I would suggest the NY Strip and let your husband order the Filet with Mushroom Risotto. My wife and I did that in '06 - and her NY Strip was as tender as any steak she's ever had. You could have EASILY cut it with a butter knife. Doing that you can at least get a taste of the Filet from your husband while avoiding the mushrooms.

Seriously, both are excellent steaks - it would be a shame to both order the same thing - half the fun is trying each other's food!

Finally, I cannot stress how important it is to have the Maple Creme Brulee - they are just amazing.

You will absolutely LOVE this place. You definitely have the luck of the Irish on getting the reservation!

Ahh. I will keep this in mind, though Hubby is a prime rib all the way man... and med. rare at that... I've worked my way from "cook it til its charcoal" to a nice Medium, but I can't go any farther back on the cooking scale. I did try it once though.

I am very happy to hear that the strip is good. I usually can't find a nice tender strip at most resturants around here unless we go into DC and that is just a big pain in the butt.

I am so excited for the cheese soup! And for the mashed potatoes... I can put away some good mashed potatoes!

I am going to have to go back to the room after this meal... I will be in FOOD COMA!
