I Go to Disney for the Food - Live Report - 12/2 - 12/7 with pics

First off- I love your dog! I have a tan little baby. She is scared of costumes.:lmao:

I hope you are having a blast with your family right now. I am enjoying your report very much. LeCellier looks wonderful! Please ask your mom what she thought about the smore's. I am planning on ordering them on my trip in a few weeks.

Enjoying your reviews...can't wait for more. Love the filet at LeCellier! YUM.

Thanks :) We actually took her to DTD yesterday to get her picture taken with Santa in her Snow White costume. It was a hoot. So many people stopped us and asked if they could take pictures or video. Since I love to spread the Lola love, here's us at DTD.

And as for the smores, I asked my mom and her exact words were "they sucked" and "I felt like they brought me out a tinker toy." The cookie on the bottom was frozen and when she tried to cut it, it broke into tiny pieces. It was too hard to eat it, and she didn't finish it. And the marshmallow was not cooked in any way, and she thought the sprinkles were terrible.

We headed to DTD yesterday to get our little one's picture taken with Santa. Had lots of fun with that. Afterwards, we were hungry so while my mom watched the dancers on stage, the rest of us headed to Earl of Sandwich to wait in the massively long line.

I was supposed to hang out with one of my old coworkers from when I worked at MK, so I just wanted something small. I got the broccoli cheese soup. It was just okay, I prefer TGI Friday's or Panera's broccoli cheese soup over this.

My dad got Italian sandwich. He's sitting with me right now and says it was pretty good. Please note that my dad is such a good help and presented the inside of the sandwich. He takes dining reviews as seriously as I do.

My mom made it back before our food was ready. We hadn't ordered anything for her, so she said she would just pick something up at Wolfgang Puck Express. This threw my sister into a hissy fit because she wanted Wolfgang too, so I came up with the brilliant idea of them splitting the roast beef sandwich, and then splitting something at Wolfgang as well. Crisis adverted. My sister was still in the after effects of crabiness at time of photography, so you only get to see the outside of the sandwich. They enjoyed.

Thanks for the reviews! We always seem to compare the food that we eat "out" while at home with the food in WDW. For the most part..no comparison!
We just have so many favorites at WDW that it is hard to find something that is as good at home.:)

So we walk around some more at DTD, and my dad departs us to take the dog back to the house. The rest of us head over to Wolfgang to execute my brilliant plan that was mentioned in my previous post.

My mom decides on the Margherita pizza. At this point I was still hungry and still waiting on my friend to call, so I decided to have a slice of this. That slice turned into two slices because omg it was amazing. (However, after visiting the restroom ride few times, I decide the pizza is now just okay :lmao:) If you like super cheesy pizza as much as I do, get pizza here!

My sister got the pepperoni and mushroom pizza, sans mushrooms. She enjoyed hers as well.

When we were done spending our millions in the shops, we called my dad to pick us up so we could all go look at the Christmas decorations at the Boardwalk and Beach Club. By the way, when were at DTD, we saw the Dream Squad following their shopping spree winners around. Extreme jealousy ensued.

Oh, so yeah. Never heard from my friend so at 8pm I was starving! At this point, I was about ready to eat a horse!

101_0348-1.jpg

Haha, get it!?! I'm lame :)

We were going to park at Boardwalk and take the boat over to the Beach Club to eat, but the parking was terrible at Boardwalk so again my noggin came up with the best idea. Parked close at the Beach Club and took the boat over to Boardwalk. I feel better about paying back my student loans since my college education has made me a genius.

So, Beaches and Cream. They really need to knock down the wall near the arcade and expand because an hour wait for ice cream is a tad silly, even though we waited for it.

I got the single cheeseburger with provolone and upgraded the fries for a $1 to onion rings. I wolfed it all down. At first, I thought the burger was omg amazing, but then I realized I was just starving and the burger was just okay. The onion rings on the otherhand, they were definitely OMG AMAZING. My sister was sitting across the table and I watched her eye them many times. At the end, I was full and had two left and shared. Santa, did you hear that? I was a good girl, now bring me a new car. Or a job since it's hard for a new college grad to find one in this economy.

The rest had ice cream. My dad got a strawberry sundae it looks like. He enjoyed it and was the first one finished. Another sign that it was good? He started diving in and I was like "WAIT! I need a picture!" so he turned the sundae around and made it look brand new.

My mom had the banana split. I had this once before and I remember it was good. It's pretty big, I remember I couldn't finish it. And apparently, judging from this picture, it melts pretty quickly too.

101_0362.jpg

And my sister got a brownie a la mode it looks like. She said it was a little too rich for her taste. Lots of chocolate - chocolate brownie with chocolate chips, and chocolate sprinkles on the ice cream.

Our final night was spent at MVMCP. I knew that Ahola Isle was not going to be open during the party, so after riding Carousel of Progress (another thing that was not going to be running during the party), we headed over to get our Dole Whips. I used to work in this area during my CP, and ran into a couple of managers that were not there when I was there, and omg! I worked there during the wrong time because these managers seemed tons nicer than the ones I had. Anyways, moving on. Good tip for those who like Dole Whip: stand back a little and watch other people order. Go in the line where they are the biggest because some CMs are not too good at swirling the frozen concoction.

My sister got the float, and I just got a regular cup.

A few more rides, and we headed to our ressie at LTT. My mom and I had lunch here once, but this was everyone's first time for dinner. We had a good time, the food was pretty good and the characters made it around quickly in my opinion. We're all adults, so they didn't stay long at our table, though. Our first round of food was a little cold, and sitting directly under the air conditioning didn't help either.

We started with the salad. My sister and I don't like strawberry vinagerette, so I asked if we could have a side of ranch dressing, not realizing the dressing is already mixed in. Our waiter brought us a whole new salad with ranch dressing. No pictures of that, sorry, but my parents were jealous because the lettuce was way more fresh than the one they got. We also got buns with honey butter. Good as well.

101_0382.jpg

Next came out of main meal. Turkey, beef, and pork with some sort of apple tasting sauce. I think only one of us attempted the pork, but we all loved the turkey and beef.

101_0384.jpg

Green beans and mashed potatoes. Both were really really good.

101_0386.jpg

Mac and cheese. I heard it's supposed to be Stouffer's, but it's not like the Stouffer's I've eaten, unless they've changed the recipe recently. No one else really complained about it, but I thought it tasted like it was made with Cheez Whiz.

101_0387.jpg

And finally, dessert. I came in expecting cherry cobbler, but instead we were surprised with apple cobbler! All were pleased. And you can tell by this picture, that we were excited for it because I forgot to take a picture until we were all starting to dive in.

101_0391.jpg

Hours later, when our meal had finally digested a tad, we headed to a cookie/hot chocolate spot, and I got a strawberry funnel cake from Sleepy Hollow. I never really ate funnel cakes until I worked at Sleepy. I was really missing out! It was good as always, but I didn't finish it because I thought I was going to have some help but everyone else was too stuffed.

101_0414.jpg

And that completes my dining report, hope you all enjoyed! Leaving for home in about an hour :( Back to the snow and cold in Ohio!
