Which restaurant have you always visited and now, you're no longer interested in eating there? We always enjoyed the California Grill. What happened there? It became THE spot to eat and it seemed like they couldn't handle the # of meals that they had to serve. On our last visit, we waited 40 minutes past our PS and still weren't seated. I think we'll wait awhile before visiting again. California Grill, we'll miss you. :(

The past 3 out of 4 times we were at California Grill, the service has been so-so and the food has been mediocre. The only good thing lately has been the view. I've finally convinced my wife (didn't take much after the last time at CG) that Citrico's and Artist Point are superior to CG. We won't be going back anytome soon.

The Brown Derby for us, it was a staple restaurant but the last few times it wasn't that good. Last trip we totally skipped it :sad2:

AGREED! the manager actually had the nerve to ask me WHY I had come back!

And I was the one defending them on these boards, saying that maybe they were just going through a rough patch. And I did have some good meals there as well as bad lately, maybe it's the manager's influence hmmmm

Biergarten! We enjoyed it the first couple of times, but the last time, they kept running out of things and not replacing them. Like they kept running out of desserts and I had to wait to get anything-then when they brought out more cake it was still frozen in the middle.

We really wanted to try Fulton's because we are seafood lovers, but it was definitely not worth it. Yuck! Won't be going back. If we want to eat at DTD we'll hit Portobello Yacht Club or try something new.

I'm with ya on CG. The most "mediocre" meall of a past trip. We had mad a PS every trip for 3 trips and never made it so we were very excited when we made it. It was a huge "average " diappointment. Jiko is so much better.

I don't agree about Wolfgang Puck Express at Downtown Disney. It has been wonderful evertime we have been. It is a MUST stop place every trip and we go several times a year!!!!

I used to feel that way about the Coral Reef at Epcot. But on my trip last month, I LOVED it. I hope it continues to impress me! :wave2:

We always went to Narcoosee's, but had two bad experiences in a row; service and quality of food (filet was so tough and fatty, that I could't even eat all of it) ... the offer was made to replace, but I'd already been there "alone" for 45 minutes & just couldn't face another 45. We always dine early, so the poor service was not due to crowds, just attitude. Have crossed it off our list.

OK, so CG was my choice for our anniversay dinner Oct. 5th...Narcoosee's was second...

Now where should we go?

BD is now off our list but Sci-Fi is a must. The onion rings and burgers are consistently fantastic.

We've tried Alfredo's a couple of times and although the Fettucini Alfredo is very good, order anything else and your on you own. (OK, the dessert sampler plate is also very good)

I am really starting to get bummed about all the bad GC reviews! That was one of our favorite places, but we haven't been in about 2 years and it sounds like it has really changed. We'll have to check it out this summer and see for ourselves I guess. I just don't want to believe it!

Anyway, I guess for us it would be the Sci-Fi. We've just never had a good experience there so we gave up on it, despite the fun atmostphere. We used to go to the Tepanyaki Room a lot more, but now that they charge extra for the soup and salad, it just doesn't seem like as good a deal to me. I sitll love the food and atmosphere there though!

Firstly, GypsyDoodleBug - for your anniversary, my fiance and I just LOVE The Flying Fish at Boardwalk. The food and service is outstanding. But you know how you just get good karma at some restaurants and not so good at others? We got attached to the waitstaff there (we have our favs whom we ask for) and just migrate there frequently.

Others I tried were just not karmic. I did not feel it at Narcoosees, nor did I feel it at France at Chef's (upstairs). I think Citrico's would have been better, but we were both dead tired when we ate there. I do think Portobello is good and disagree with some posts. Of course, there's always the Gyro stand at Pleasure Island or a good burger at ESPN while watching the Red Sox beat the Yankees! Oh, sorry, that's another thread! LOL

Hope this helps. Happy Anniversary!

The Sci-Fi Drive in Theater - The place was empty yet they had stuck the 3 of us behind a loud and obnoxious family in the same car. The service was horrible and the food was very mediocre

The Noodle Station (formerly plaza pavillion) - I love noodles whether soba or ramen, but they tried to make fast food tai noodles that were a big disappointment. I'm sticking to Casey's Corner or Cosmic Ray's for quick counter food.

Tony's in MK. Bad food and bad service. Very disappointing from the other times we had been there. :sad2:

We had previously enjoyed O'hana, but last year the meat was VERY dry..even the pineapple with dessert was not ripe and dry. We will skip this one for a few years.

We liked Jiko, but it just didn't live up to all the hype. Our filet earlier in the week from CG was better. We haven't yet had a bad experience at CG so I am keeping my fingers crossed. princess: pirate: :earboy2:
