Okay I just got my Disney DVD in the mail (NO OFFER).:rotfl2: I keep reading the message boards here and thinking maybe, just maybe I will get a code. So I just called again. The CM was SO SO SO SO rude! She acted like I was a real pain in the you know what! I was very nice and asked if there were any codes attached to my name. She said NO we do not do that! If I had a code it would be mailed to me. She also said I hope you know there is NO way you are getting a code or discount for your dates, it is the busiest time (spring break). We are going 3/2 - 3/5 which I though was right before the spring break rush. Also this was someone in Grand Gatherings - so far everyone I have talked to in this department is SO rude. I have tried to talk to the first person that answered, but they always transfer me b/c we have a large party.

So I give up. I guess we will just have to be the ones to pay full price for the GF. We went to the GF 2 times last year and paid full price, it would just be nice to get a discount once!!!

I also stayed at GF, and I think it's because we have been guests there, we will never receive a code!!!!:confused: ????
 
The CM was WRONG! In so many ways, but the dates you are going do to fall in with what has been offered to others.

What Dates Is It Good For?

These are the dates that have been reported for this offer.

January 06th to 17th
January 20th to 31st
February 24th to March 5th
March 30th to April 8th
August 10th to September 27th
October 19th to November 1st
November 9th to November 15th
December 7th to December 17th


It is so hit or miss with the CMs lately. I've gotten some who were very pleasant and some who were less then stellar.

I would recommend calling again and NOT saying how large your party is and see if you get a nicer CM who can tell you if you have a code before being transfered to whoever books the larger parties.
 

I've called 4 times and each time, I get a gruff, business-like CM who simply states that if there is a code you can use, it will be sent to you directly by email or regular post. Won't even check. I'm feeling very discouraged!

You last sentance is the reason why you are not going to get a code. Disney is not very good to their repeat resort guests. They do not have loyality programs for their resorts because they feel as if they can fill the number of rooms that they need to whithout having a loyality. The way to get a code is not go or to go and not stay at a Disney owned resort.
 
Do you think it could have anything to do with working with the Grand Gatherings People? For some reason as soon as I get connected with them they act like the LAST thing they want to do for me is help me out with getting any sort of deal or code?

We are here right now and the place is the most crowded that we have seen it in January since we started coming this time of year back in 2003. We come down multiple times per year and don't get me wrong it is not as crowded as June but it is not as empty as it used to me. Also the dollar is weak right now so that is good for people from other countries and we have noticed many more foreign travelers then we have experianced during our past Jan trips.
 
i have been to wdw a million times (seems like lol) and i always get a code sometime during the year so i dont think it is because you have been alot and paid full price, i think it is just random...i know people do not like to think that but I really think it is....
 
I don't think past visits have any impact on whether you receive or do not receive codes. We did a trip to the CR (Concierge level) in December, and I just received a code/pin via email today.

Instead of connecting with the "reservation" department, try talking with the "general inquiries" line. There is an option when you call in, it's further down the list. The CMs you talk with are not commissioned like the reservation team, and are MUCH more likely to let you know what's up with your account :)
 
In one of the guidebooks I read that the nicer CMs tend to be in the Tampa call center, and that you're more likely to get them at night.

I have NO idea whether or not it's true. But that's when I've done all my calling (I teach during the day) and I've never gotten anyone who wasn't delightful.
 
Ive given up as well. I would keep calling, but frankly, Im tired of being chastised by rude CMs.
