and thought I'd pass it along as it would also concern readers with kids in tow.

If you dine at Shula's or BlueZoo in the Dolphin your kids can attend "camp dolphin" for 2hours for free.

Yes, that's FREE childcare while your having a relaxing dinner ! And from what I've read, they feed the kids dinner (PB&J,etc.) too!

A nice quite dinner during your vacation--what a deal!

I LOVE THE DIS!

Momoffive,
Do you have a link for this? We wanted to try bluezoo but not with the kids. Also, we are not staying on site. Do you know if this offer is extended for those offsite, as well?

Thank you!

You don't need to be staying onsite (we aren't).
I think basically it's just a friendly way to get you to NOT bring your kids to these resturants.
Apparently, you need to make PS at either resturant and then you need to call 'camp dolphin' and make reservations and make sure you tell them you are dining and want the two hours free deal and give them your PS number. I guess you'll need to show your dining reciept when you pick the kids up.
I've have not done this yet, but plan to. Other posters have.

Sounds like a deal to me!

Momoffive,
I got all giddy for a moment, but remembered that my 1 year old can't participate yet!!

I still appreciate the info, though! Thank you.

You know, up until last week, I never even knew about this and It makes me wonder how much else I don't know concerning this particular topic...

What I mean is, I wonder if perhaps the dolphin offers some other babysitting service for parents with babies who want to dine at one of their upscale places. Probably not, but one thing I have learned from these boards is...it doesn't hurt to ask!
I'd call the dolphin directly and plead your case--"mom who needs a quiet dinner".

I think, legally, the kids must be potty trained and either 3 or 4 years old to participate in an onsite kids' program. I DO need a quiet dinner, mind you. . .

We went to a casino a few months ago when the older children were visiting their grandparents, and used the onsite kids' program there for my dd1--that was specifically licensed for babies. It was very nice, but so far my littlest dd (and my dh) isn't used to these kinds of things, and my husband's worry for her would make our private dinner pale in
comparison!

But, this is sincerely good to know, anyways. Also, next trip, maybe we'll feel more comfortable leaving our then 13 year old in charge in a room for a few hours. I feel comfortable with her alone HERE sometimes, but i'm not sure how I would feel about that in a different city and in a hotel.

Thanks again!
