I have a very large 3 year old son (almost 40 inches tall and 42 lbs.). I just had another DS in October and really wanted to find a double stroller that would work for the two of them. DS 3 still likes to sit in a stroller and we really want to encourage that since he is a maniac out of a stroller. After trying out about 30 double strollers both front to backs and side by sides (none of which my DS3 would fit in- he has broad shoulders). I finally stumbled across the Schwinn double sport utility stroller (found it for about $100 online). Being a Maclaren fanatic (the double was too narrow for my son), I was skeptical of any other brand but this stroller is pretty good.
The Pros: cost, extra wide seats, canopy, seats recline, small baskets underneath, handles adjust for height, unmbrella type double so it folds up very compact. The Cons: does not fit through standard doorway (which basically means if building can not accomodate wheel chairs then the stroller will not fit), heavy (steel frame makes it heavy but sturdy), not hard but not easy to fold and does not have a 5 pt. harness.

Overall for the $$ its a great stroller and very easy to push and manuever once it is set up. Sometimes you have to take the long way around if the aisle is narrow and opening and closing is a little tough but I am also used to Maclaren which I found very easy to open and close. We will definitely be taking this stroller on our trip in March.

A standard minimum doorway for wheelchair access is 36 inches, but most doorways are at least 42 inches.
All the shops and restaurants have larger doorways than that. Some of the shows are closer to 36 inches, but strollers are not allowed in lines or in show buidlings anyway.

Where did you find this stroller? I checked ebay and found a side by side umbrella looking Schwinn? Is this it?

There have been threads on this board about Disney refusing park entry to larger, 'sports utility' sized strollers - jogging strollers, that is. From those threads, it sounds like it's a random, 'how crowded is the park expected to get' occurence. Maybe some of it is just rumor as well, but just wanted to give you a heads-up, in case you plan on using the stroller at WDW.

Jesse- I did a search on Yahoo to find online dealers that sell it. I think I end up buying it from BabyAge.com or Babyride.com; I ended up paying a little more for it but I wanted to buy from a company that had a good return policy in case my son did not fit in it.

Sue- when I was talking about fitting through standard doorways that was more for everyday use not Disney. For example when I go to the stores downtown if they do not have double doors I can not fit through the doorway. Malls and newer buildings are not problems because they are all handicapp accessible. But even some malls and stores I need to open the double doors to fit through which is a little tough when I am on my own. But normally there is always someone nice standing around to help.

Schmeck- I know it sounds like it is a bulky big jogging type stroller but it really just a suped up double umbrella stroller (a little wider). No where near as big as a jogger but thanks for the tip. I think we are going to end up driving down in March so I may bring my double and 2 single Maclarens in case we know we are going to need to split up.
