I just wanted to let everyone one in on the best character experience we have ever had at Disney. My sons (then 4 and 1.5) turned into character junkies this past trip. On our last day we made a last minute ADR at the Garden Grill in the Land (good food). We are not sure whether it was because it was a very early lunch but the character interaction was amazing. Ok I realize this is the wrong forum for this but after lunch we went over the the character pavilion and it was FANTASTIC. There were probably 7-8 characters (mickey, minnie, chip and dale, pluto, goofy, donald, etc.) with minimal lines, the boys had a blast and the characters really spent a good amount of time with the kids. Chip and Dale actually had my 4 year old sandwhiched between the two of them for the picture.

Its great that they added this to Epcot. We are probably one of the rare families because our kids really really enjoy Epcot. Our 4yr old asks to go there, but he is also a train and sea animal junkie so between living seas and Germany he is on cloud nine, add the water playground and he would spend his whole vacation there.

Where is this pavilion in epcot??? I am going in september and would love to see as many characters as I can!!! :cool1:

We just got back and agree that the Epcot had great characters. We went to the character connection there and my son got see a lot of the characters and the lines were shorter than any other park. He saw Mickey, Pluto, Donald, Minnie, Chip and Dale and Goofy. He loved it, and it was his first character experience. We also saw Timon, Rafiki, King Louie, Alice, Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore in World Showcase. It was great.

That's wonderful... I did not get to see the characters in character connection, it was not there when we went... but I have to agree that we saw a lot of characters with about 1 or 2 families in front in their land... we got to see Mulan, Jasmine and Aladdin, Geppetto (?), Genie, without no lines... very nice experience.

I personally love Epcot. It is my favorite park. I never had that much luck though with the characters there. Maybe on our upcoming trip we will see more now. I wonder if they only come out there at certain times of the year?

We always go in March for spring break, and like I said we seldom see any. just a few.

Were Timon, Rafiki, and King Louie in the Outpost area (between I think China and Germany?) in World Showcase? I always been wondering how often that location is used! :)

Going April 26th thru May 3rd How was the weather this year? Do you remember the times of shows like Playhouse Disney, Lights Motor.. Any info on that time of year appreciated. Glad to hear about the Characters and Garden Grill. That's where we plan to eat.

We seem to see more characters at Epcot usually in the WS. Once Aladdin was just walking around and a lot of people thought he was someone visiting the park. Not many people recongized. One time the Genie snuck up f/behind these two older women reading the menus for the Morocco restaurant. They had no idea he was behind them and we were just laughing and other people where laughing and then one of them turned around and about jumped out of her skin! It was very funny. We see a lot of characters in the WS with no lines at all!!!

we were in Disney April 28th to May 11th and the weather was absolutely WONDERFUl.......it was very warm but not one bit of humidity while we were there. The characters even managed to make goo goo times with the adults too......Have a great time
