I forgot about AAA!!

I have a vacation package booked with Free Dining for August 24th-28th. Due to airline prices, we decided to book an addition night on August 23rd, seperate from our package. (Flying on Saturday + Room Only for one night = 50 dollars cheaper than Flying Sunday) (Im hoping they well allow me to stay in the same room when I "check out" on Sunday, and then "check in" right after...but no guarantees, so we will see.

Anyway, I completely forgot about the AAA discount!!! I knew that I was unable to combine a AAA discount with the vacation package, so i wasn't even thinking about it when it came time to make my Room Only Reservation for August 23rd. Does anyone know if I can call now, and have the discount applied? I've already paid for the room, so could I recieve a credit? If anyone has any experience with this let me know! THANK YOU!

You can get an AAA discount on your package too... be sure to call your AAA office and ask for a TRAVEL AGENT... NOT Auto Travel... What you will have to do is cancel your booking and rebook it at the AAA rate. Make sure there are still AAA rates left for the time you want to go first. You can also have them change your room only rate.

You don't need to book through AAA to get their discount on a room only reservation. Just have it applied wherever you booked... WDW or any travel agent can have it applied.

You probably know this already, but whatever you do, DO NOT cancel your current package booking. Free dining is not available if you have used any other discount, incl. AAA, and is definitely worth more than the AAA discount. I just wanted to be sure to mention it, just in case.

actually no you can't.The op has the free dining pkg.In order to qualify for free dining , she needs to pay rack rate for the myw pkg.So they would have to choose between free dining or AAA discount.Can not combine.

We're doing the same thing. We have a separate room only reservation for Aug 23 and then our package reservation starts on the 24th. I say call Disney Reservations and see if there are any AAA discount rooms available where you want for the 23rd. They will either apply what you have already paid to the new reservation (and of course cancel the old one), or you may have to pay for it again and get a refund back on the other one when you cancel it and it will take 7-10 business days. SO I don't know what they will do, but call and ask.

In Sept 2005, we had both a AAA discount and free dining on our package. We had to book with a AAA agent with a special code they had for the free dining. Perhaps they don't do this anymore but I know for certain we did it at that time. Regardless, I wouldn't cancel the free dining for a AAA discount if you can't get both.

When we did the room-only added onto a package in 2006, we got lucky and didn't have to switch rooms. I think if you do it early in the morning, your chances are better that you won't have to switch. Mention it at check-in too - see what they tell you then. We were given instructions to ask for a certain CM and manager when we made our switch.

You can try and book free dining directly thru disney.During free dining, AAA will offer the packages but they are rack rate they do not allow you a discounted AAA pkg and the free dining.This is not a AAA policy it is Disney policy.Same thing goes for disney.Say you are lucky and get a 40% off pin code but want the free dining.You would have to choose between the 40% off OR the free dining.Disney requires a MYW pkg at full price ( rack rate) in order to be eligible for the free dining.Plus at this point most of the resorts are booked for free dining anyway.

Once you get the room booked have them note your reservations. Have them note it is a continuing reservation. That will lessen the chances that you will have to move.

At the present time, Disney does not allow guests to "stack" discounts. They allow only one discount per reservation. The free DDP is a discount, and thus that package is niot eligible for any other discounts, such as AAA.

If you buy the DDP, there is no discount involved with that booking, and thus you are free to book through AAA to try to get an AAA discount on that reservation.
