in my Magtag dryer! I'm so proud of myself for saving money on a service call! The part was only $15. I went ahead and bought the belt while I was at it because I figured it would probably go out after I got the thing together again! Are there any other DIS women who try to fix things, around the house, themselves?

Well.......about the best I can do is super glue the lamps when the cats knock them down My husband on the other hand, he can fix ANYTHING! Air conditioners, dryers, VCRs, DVDs, computers, etc. - I really do have an honest to goodness handyman!

me too, my hubby can fix anything also. As for me fixing things froget about. But I can change a tire

Good for you. It's a great feeling you get when you accomplish something like that. Dryer parts are by and large not very cheap. I can remember being about 13 or so when I changed the heating element in our dryer. I was small enough to get in back of the dryer while it was still in the laundry room without removing it completely.

Way to go cindy, you really are a tuffcookie. I am useless except for changing lightbulbs. Middle ds seems to get the knack of alot of stuff. He just took the lawnmower apart, his bike etc. Fixed the toilet while dh was in europe etc. Now you need to give ds a lesson, so he can do it next time.

I took apart my pond pump yesterday and cleaned it out so it would pump 3000 gal per hour again Waterfall is a gusher again.
LOVE doing home improvement and repairs all by myself. Even have my own tools
