I find this rather sad

but I love my husband of 36 years..........and this to me was a little fun.....thats all

Anyone who knows me knows I adore my husband of 17 years - we've known one another since we were kids, have experienced the loss of both of my parents at a very young age, and he is my rock in hard times. Just playing around with the griping post, and I guess the reason it has more posts is because everyone needs an outlet every now and again. :)

You can feel free to post on the "for real" letter to my husband, Jipsy, if it will make you feel less sad. :)

True but the griping thread was started much earlier and therefore had more time on the boards... the praising thread was just started this morning.

Oh snoopy and pumba, I understand everyone needs an outlet. I just find it sad that more people are griping than praising that's all.

I don't have a beloved husband so I don't get to do either LOL.

Doesn't the griping thread have almost 24 hours on the praising thread? Give the praising thread time. :)

the toilet paper not being there when I need it.....and not that I need this as an outlet.....just as a lot of fun

Don't know about the times. They were just right next to each other and I noticed the difference.

Well, I guess I don't find it really all that sad. The "griping" on the first thread was lighthearted, and God knows after being married a certain number of years we all have our quirks. I could pretend I live the life of a fairy princess, but hey, this is reality....... :) The man does need to think before he buys a case of salsa that no one eats, and he needs to take the boys to a qualified barber instead of doing it himself, and he DEFINATELY needs to rid the basement of his record albums from 1977. :)

Even with all his quirks, DH is the man! :) And I'd be willing to bet that most if not all of the other people on the thread feel the same way. :)

he said that I even had my training bras still......I still do believe that he needs an occasional smack....on the lips though....;) and SNOOPY.....about those albums.....my albums go back to the late 50s to the sixties.....and NO ONE HAD BETTER TOUCH THEM......we don't use them but they are sitting there just so cute.....and I do have a turn table too to play them on if I feel like it.......

snoopy chill out. I am not ragging on you personally. Regardless of whether or not there is 24 hours between the posts, I find it interesting that alot of people who griped didn't praise. I wasn't pointing out you or pumba specifically. Quite frankly, I didn't read either thread - I opened them to see why two threads had the same title, and that's when I noticed the difference in the number of posts.

The way I looked at it is that I would rather get the griping out and not say it to him....I'd rather do the praising to his face than write it down.

Suzanne

I started to post on the praising thread, but I just couldn't come up with the words to say how I feel about him. I decided to praise him on an email to him personally, that way he gets to see it and I don't have to edit or explain what I want to say.

snoopy chill out.

LOL! I'm not the person who is sad here...... :) I'm quite chilled, as always, but thanks for your concern! :)

I do have to comment though, if you haven't read the threads in question, why do you feel so sad about them? I think if you read them you might find they are rather fun, both of them! :)

I see what you mean Jipsy only it makes me laugh instead of feel sad. I don't think it says anything about the state of DISers feelings towards their spouses, it just shows human nature. Since misery loves company, complaining threads (angry ones too) always seem to get more traffic. They tend to be funnier too, whereas the sweet ones are often too sappy for a cynic like me to read. I know I click on those kinds of threads first. :p

It's all tongue in cheek, I laughed so hard at the thread. But I knew it was in good fun. Friendly teasing.

I read that thread last night. It's hysterical. It's a bit of "twisted fluff", not meant to be taken seriously at all.

I think having to deal with a "Peter Frampton Comes Alive" album is truly something to gripe about though!

Pssssst snoopy's loving DH ... Can I interest you in a "Doobie Brothers Greatest Hits: Volume 1" album? Sounds like it will fit in just nicely with your collection. :p
