I finally went to Gatorland!!!!

Over the years I have teased my fellow travelers that I will make them go to Gatorland if they complain about the intineraries I make for the trips. I was just at WDW for 12 days and headed over there one morning to see what it was like. It was really good in an old style tourist attraction kind of way. I only spent 2.5 hours there but could have done 4 or more, easily. I only saw one of the three shows. But there are LOTs of alligators there along with some other reptiles. There is a naturewalk with loads of birds as well as more gators. If you have time, and like this kind of thing I recommend it.

We'll be in Orlando and then driving up for a week on the beach in St. Augustine. Thought about doing a half day at Gaterland there.

just remember it's a tourist attraction and you could do as little or as much as you want...do all the shows they are only about 15 min. and you just walk from 1 to another.if you miss it they will show it again..the 1 they pick out from the audience and you can't hide they have huge snakes they will put on you...the wrestling is a good show and get the ticket for the picture on the alligator we loved this it's a great souv. we didn't walk on the trial because it was so hot.. took the little train.
my 8ds changed into his swimsuit and got soaked at the water area,,he loved it, very refreshing and they have lounge chairs we just pulled them up in the shade under a fan and relaxed.....we fed the allig. some hot dogs and then left..it was a great $20 bucks..

Yes I have been there but it is not as much fun. For one thing they do not let you feed the gators hot dogs like they do at Gatorland. Also, they approach it from the educational aspect and let me tell you kids do NOT want that approach in summer.

My son is 19 and has been going to GL since he was 10 he still wants to go again this year but he wants to do trainer for a day ...that is not happening if I have anything to say about it.
