I can't believe it! We have taken two trips before and usually do these trips every 3 years. We went in 02 and again in 05 and now we are going this November. Ever since we got back in 05 and actually while we were still there we were planning our next trip (this one). I remember when I first made my countdown ticker and it was 400 something days. I remember last July when we finally booked our timeshare. It has been a LONG time coming and LOTS of planning. I remember 6 months ago when I was up EVERY day at 4 a.m. (I am in CA) calling to make my ADRs. And all the nervousness about which ariline I should go with, and it was legitimized because we went with Delta and they have cancelled a few legs and changed the flights at LEAST 5 times just since June when we purchased the airfare. :sad2: We had perfect times to leave and come home and now we don't get in till almost midnight and don't get back home till really late as well but what are you going to do. At least we still HAVE a flight (for now) :headache:

As long as there is not another hurricane I will be happy.

Anyway yesterday we hit the 2 month mark and I can't believe it. I am hoping these next two months fly by. I thought they would drag because when the kids started school USUALLY it seems like it takes forever to get to Thanksgiving but when I look at it THIS way as the countdown to our trip it seems to actually be going by quite quickly and I am SO excited!

Just wanted to share my excitement!! Hopefully the next time I post it will be 1 month till our trip and then 1 week and then I will be posting that I am leaving the next day!!!!!:cool1:  :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2:

We just hit our two month mark too! I USED to get to go to WDW a couple of times a year, was a season pass holder for a while, until DH and DS(14) decided that they would like to go other places for vacation!:confused3 I don't understand it as I, DD (7) and DD (3) would spend EVERY vacation with the mouse if we could! :lovestruc

Alas, I am stuck with my once a year trip...:sad2: and this time I'm going with my family of 5 and 7 of our closest friends. :lmao: It will be a blast as it is our first grand gathering. I've been appointed to do all of the planning, and like you I've been on the phone for ADRs and reservations...trying to figure out the best place for all of us to stay! :thumbsup2

I started planning this trip last year...exactly one year out! I absolutely cannot wait...for our friends this will be their first trip with their families to the world! Can you believe it? :cheer2: I am so honored to be sharing this experience with them!!!

I'll be countin down witcha!!! Where are you staying?pirate:

Well for the first 2 days we are going to IOA/Universal so we will be staying at the Doubletree there at Universal. Then on Saturday the 22nd we move in to our timeshare for a week. Then since we only get it for a week we will be moving out on the 29th and into the Pop Century for the last part of our trip and will be staying there for 3 nights. YES it is a lot of moving and I usually don't like to do that but it couldn't be helped this time. Last time we booked the timeshare for 2 full weeks but this time we are not staying for an entire two weeks so we couldn't do it that way.

So we arrive VERY late at night on our first night so that almost doesn't even count and then just needed one extra night at the doubletree and then we are spending the majority of our trip at our timeshare.

We normally would have left that weekend after but being that it is Thanksgiving week we didn't want to fight all the airline traffic going home so we extended and WERE going to fly home that following Monday first thing but then decided that even THAT day might be crazy so then were going to go home first thing Tuesday but then Delta decided to push us back to 4:30 Tuesday afternoon LOL. So we got a LONGER trip than we bargained for. But we couldn't beat the deal we got at Pop. We got 65/a night there and I have not stayed on Disney property since our first trip in 02 so I am actually looking forward to it.

NOT looking forward to the holiday crowds but am looking forward to the trip in general!!!!

Oh and I agree about spending every vacation at Disney. We are AP holders to DisneyLAND here in CA. We go at minimum twice a year and usually more. My extended family thinks I am nuts but I like to go in the summer and then again during the holidays because that is my favorite time of year. And there is ALWAYS something new to see. Especially out here as they are doing so much work on DCA etc. I can NEVER get tired of it and it is my FAV place in the world. Sure I love to go other places but it is SO expensive and I can always find deals to Disney and it is so close and with our passes it makes it really cheap compared to other vacations so that is how I rationalize it anyway.

See you there! :)
