I got a brand new Motorola Backflip (run on the Android system) for my birthday last June, and I adored it. It was an awesome phone.. at first. But after a couple weeks, it started dropping calls randomly in perfectly good service areas, turning off randomly several times a day (sometimes several times an hour!), and just not functioning properly and being a reliable phone. My two younger brothers apparently were having the same problem, and the middle brother ended up switching his out. But, he had to switch that phone out 3 times (each of the 3 replacements of the same type had the same problems).. and it was just a big hassle. He ended up finally getting a new phone, which he's happy with.
I, on the other hand, was lazy. I didn't want to deal with the AT&T store to try to get the problem figured out.
But today, I finally got fed up with my phone and I ended up going to pick up an iPhone 4. I really love it! I had the very first iPhone back in summer 2006, and it was probably the worst phone I ever had. It was slow, the touchscreen never worked right, etc. So I gave up on it.. and I'm really glad I waited this long to get another iPhone, because I've been playing with mine all night and so far it's fantastic!
Now.. iPhone apps. What are your favorites? What do you use and what do you suggest against? I downloaded one for Bank of America, Facebook, and bought one for being able to do voice entry text messages.. but that's all so far! Give me some ideas of what to get next!
