I Finally Got A Job!!!

Congratulations!!!

Our daughter had been out of work 18 months and just found a job (at a slightly higher salary than the last one). Our whole family is elated, and very relieved.

Congratulations! That's awesome news. I've been layed off since July and know what you mean by constantly looking for a job. I'm always checking all kinds of job sites and companies websites for employment multiple times a day. Just before Thanksgiving I took a job as a temp at a county job through a temp agency as a way to extend my unemployment. Plus it sounded like there was a real good chance that the job could become permanent full time. I was filling in for someone out on FMLA for unknown reasons to me, but it appears she's going to retire and not return. I'm pregnant also and had a dr. appt. last Thursday taking me out of the office for 2.5 hours and they terminated my assignment saying that I was putting them back into the same position they were already in. My assignment was supposed to be until Feb. 1 and I'm not due until May 1 so there was no reason I couldn't complete it. I did fear that I wouldn't be offered the job at the end due to being pregnant, but never expected them to end it early. I was very hurt and still am, but am back to looking for something else.
Hope you find something soon...it sucks to be fired because of pregnancy.

Congrats Michelle, being out of work is very stressful....I had a year like that not too long ago. We got to were they weren't going to extend my food stamps benefits, we had about $300 in the bank. I was juggling bills hoping to keep my cell phone and internet on, I needed those to find a new job. I had to beg the water guy to please not turn off our water until I could talk to the billing clerk, it was july and the temps were in the 100+'s, we needed water. Luckily she gave me a bit of an extension. We were eating ramen noodles and mac and cheese everyday for like 2 months. I was two months behind in the mortgage when I finally got that call offering me a job. I cried too after I got off the phone...and I'm a 40 year old guy. Anyways, congrats on the new job. Yeah You!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
