AFter reading and reading and searching and searching, I found CROCS today in a little sports store right across from the school where I teach!

I am now the proud owner of an outrageous hot pink pair and a tamer light blue pair! I usually wear an 8 wide and got the medium. I have a beige/khaki pair on order!

Yippeee! Great way to start the weekend! I feel so connected to all you CROC-ers!!

What are CROCS?

I'm having no luck finding them here! :( I'm going out tonight searching...congrats on yours! (never thought I'd be saying that about shoes)

They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! I've had mine for about a week now and I love them! I wore my crocs to help my daughter move today and tonight my feet feel great! No hurting or aching like they usually do after moving all day. I haven't worn them to Disney yet, but definitely will when we go in October.

My DDs and I got the knock off ones at Payless today. They are having Buy 1 Get 1 Half Off Sale. I have never tried the 'real' ones, so I can't compare the quality at all, but we like them so far.

I broke down and bought the ones at Payless too because I haven't found my size here in any. :( I have them on now and really like them so far! Of course all the SO kept saying is that they're the ugliest things ever. ;)

I got my Crocs about a month ago, and was embarassed to wear them at first. However, they are soooooo comfy, I decided to wear them shopping. My first day, I noticed 2 other people with Crocs on, and then the next time I wore them, I had a teen ask where I got them because evidently they are all the rage in his school!! :earseek: Who knew? Anyway, now there is a store just down from my house with an advertisement for them. Apparently, DIS'ers are ahead of the fashion trend! (I still think they are ugly though) :earboy2:

I got my CROCS too at Dillard's department store here in San Antonio just last week. The sellsman said Nurses are buying one of each color. They are so comfy I can't believe it. I wear mine all the time and never had my feet hurt or even get hot. Went on a field trip with my DD and wore them there and my feet were so happy. :)

I'm still disconnected

Was the store you went to listed as a dealer on the Crocs website? The website has absolutely no dealers anywhere near me, but I would definitely make some calls if that list wasn't up to date.

Is the size 8 a little big or do they fit just right? I"m a size 9 and the mediums were a tad too small but the larges were way too big. So now what do I do?

If you cannot find a store nearby, there are several shoe stores on the internet that sell them. Check out zappos.com or stairwaytodenim.com or shoepavilion.com or sahalie.com. Even crocs.com has an on-line store. I have returned shoes to zappos.com before, and it is very easy to do. I am waiting for UPS to deliver my Black Beach size S and my blue Nile size S. After all the talk about them on the dis, I can't wait to get them.

If anyone sees the Nile ones being sold in Orlando could you post it here? We cannot get them at all over here so I thought I would have a look when I visit Orlando in July. Thanks.

Anyone who is looking for them, try pool stores in your area. That's where they sold them first here. Von Maur carries them now and I noticed someone else said Dillards. There is a place at Jordan Creek Mall in Des Moines, Ia that said that they would ship for free which is better than the Crocs website.

Another place here that started to carry them is a bike ship...very small family owned place.

Mine stretched a bit too and the pool guy said that they would. I wear a 10 shoe and I wear a medium in the crocs.

Dillards also has them online too.

I think Von Maur will ship for free too...I'm not 100% about that, but I think they would. I know they are a store in Iowa, but I don't know if they exist outside of Iowa.

If you want to try a pair of knock-off Crocs (until you can get an original pair), they have them at PayLess... buy one at full price and get a 2nd pair for half price :goodvibes Every store near me was sold out of the Crocs, so I went for the next best thing.
