I finally found a way to get DH excited about Disney! - ADDED LINK TO TRIP REPORT

Congrats on your long run! I've never run for even close to 20 minutes straight, so I can understand what a big accomplishment it is! :cheer2: You'll be ready for your big race in no time!

Thank you! I never in a million years would've thought I'd be able to run 10 minutes straight, let alone 20. If I can do it with this program, anyone can!

I was a little behind, but I have to say that Reid is soooo cute in his Captain Hook costume! He is going to have such a blast at MNSSHP!

Thank you! I'm so excited for MNSSHP! I can really feel my excitement growing each day for this trip. :cool1:

Your MK plans look great! We're going to be at the MK that day too, so if you're up for it, we'd love to meet up for a ride! Oh, and I totally laughed out loud about the Casey Jr comment, I'm going to be doing the same thing with Everett! :rotfl:

Thanks! I'm so excited y'all will be at MK that day!! I would most definitely love to meet up with y'all! That would be so fun. I'm sure we can coordinate something! :thumbsup2

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is already planning to divert their child from the Casey Jr. section. :lmao: I can already see a potential tantrum over this issue. Maybe Reid will prove me wrong. But, I'm going to come up with a diversion tactic just in case. I think the promise of race cars & Buzz Lightyear should do it!

Amanda, I will admit that I am so far behind on everyone's TR's that I don't know where I've left off on any of them.

Therefore, I am starting with the latest update.

No worries Kathy! I more than understand. I just appreciate you stopping by when you can. :flower3:

We've never done Ohana (I'm with your Uncle...I'm not a Stitch fan at all) as I don't like a lot of what they serve (I don't eat eggs unless it is an omelet).

I did think of you when I was posting about my uncle. You & him could definitely bond over y'alls dislike for Stitch. :rotfl: It definitely sounds like 'Ohana would not be a good choice for breakfast for you. I don't blame you for not trying it out.

I do love your morning plans at the MK...they sound perfect (well, except for the "slow boat to China" :lmao::lmao::lmao:). I can't believe you missed Pooh last year.

Thank you! Aww, we love that ride. Well, Reid & I do. :rotfl2: I don't know why we didn't ride Pooh last year. Seems really crazy to me when I think about it. But, we'll definitely ride at least once this year.

Thanks for the info on where the FP machine is for Dumbo...we'll be heading there for sure.

You're welcome! I've been trying to keep up with all of the new info as much as possible.

I just love that picture of Reid on the Tea Cups.

Thanks! :goodvibes

Your day at MK sounds like it will be a great one!!!! :cool1:

Thanks! I hope it turns out to be great! :cool1:

I absolutely love Breakfast at Ohana and it is a must do for very trip we take. I think the food is fantastic especially the eggs :lovestruc

Yay! Another person who loves breakfast at 'Ohana! Our family loves eggs so that should be a hit with us. I think Reid could eat his weight in eggs. :rotfl:

I also love the fact that the food is served family style and you don't have to get up and risk missing a character but get to sit at the table with the family and enjoy breakfast

I'm really excited that it's family style. I think it'll give a more relaxed feeling to the meal.

Ok, first of all... OMG REID'S COSTUME IS SO CUTE!!!!! I love it!!!

Thank you! :goodvibes I knew it would be good but it really exceeded my expectations when we got it. It made me that much more excited about going to MNSSHP.

Good to hear yours is coming along!! How exciting!! :goodvibes

My friend is really doing a great job! And it really makes me happy that we decided to dress up with Reid for the party. Who knows when/if we'll get to do another MNSSHP again.

WOW! Great news on your C25K program! :thumbsup2 Great progress! Congratulations!

Thanks! I'm still surprised that I'm actually sticking to it & doing it. :rotfl:

Your plans sound great so far! I'm excited to hear about O'hana breakfast! I really wanted to try O'hana on our last trip, but we planned last minute so there were no openings! :sad2: That is funny about your uncle and Stitch! :rotfl2: I love it when the characters really interact with you!

Thank you! That place can be ridiculously hard to get an ADR so I understand why you couldn't get one. I'm excited that we'll be able to try it.

It really was too funny when Stitch did that to my uncle. What made it even funnier is that my uncle is an extremely outgoing, crazy kind of guy. When I was little, he used to love to hide around our house when he was visiting & try to scare the you-know-what out of me. And he always succeeded. :rotfl2: So, it was nice to see someone else really scaring him for once. Karma baby! :lmao:

Congrats on running 20 minutes straight. That IS a big deal, particularly if you live in a place that's getting this crazy heat. Way to go!

Thank you! :goodvibes UGH - the heat! :faint: I did that 20 minute run yesterday morning at 830am. OMG! I couldn't believe how hot it was. :crazy2: As soon as you walk outside down here, the heat & humidity just completely take your breath away.

Your MK plans look great and I have to admit, I have always wanted to try the Ohana breakfast. It looks like so much fun.

Thanks! I never gave the breakfast at 'Ohana much thought. But, when I was planning the trip & trying to figure out ADRs, I thought "Why not?". Now, I'm happy that I got an ADR there because I'm really excited to give it a try.

Lovely pictures. Reid looks like he is having a blast on the teacups!

Reid usually has fun no matter where he is or what he's doing. :lmao: He's just one of those kinds of people. But, for whatever reason, those teacups get him laughing & give him more joy than anything I've ever seen. :goodvibes

A big high five to you on your training....it will all be worth it! :thumbsup2

Thank you so much! That's what I keep trying to tell myself.

He's back in lurker mode. But, he's been super busy with work & he's taken on a 2nd side consulting job. So, when he's home, he's usually doing work for the side job.

Soon enough you all will be in WDW, and the hard work will be worth it

its been a couple years, but my parents/sister/ nephew did the ohana breakfast. they loved it. food was nice, and the interaction was great. i think tigger stole my nephew's shoes?

That's too funny about the shoes! I hope we'll have some fun character interaction when we're there. :goodvibes

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!! :dance3:

We went to see the new Spiderman movie this afternoon & just thought I'd pop in & let y'all know what we thought (even if y'all don't care :rotfl: ).

I have to admit that I wasn't overly excited about this movie when I first heard about. Now don't get me wrong, I really like Spiderman. I loved the 1st two movies. The 3rd - ugh, they shouldn't have made that one. Anyway, my point is that I didn't think a new movie was necessary.

But, my 2 guys really wanted to go see this. Now, I knew the plot would probably be over Reid's head because (1) he's only 4 and (2) Megan had warned me (thanks by the way!). And yes, it definitely was over his head. Thankfully, the movie wasn't too crowded because Reid asked me approximately 1,439,729 questions. :headache: But, he did really enjoy the movie. He seemed a bit scared of the bad guy (the Lizard) which kind of surprised me because bad guys don't normally scare him in movies. But, by the time we got in the truck to go home, he was pretending to be the Lizard. :rotfl:

Ed & I both thought the movie was excellent! I have to say that this is now my favorite Spiderman movie! So, if any of y'all like superhero movies (especially Spiderman) definitely go check it out! And if you do, make sure you stay through the credits. Every time we go to a Marvel movie, it amazes me the amount of people that leave as soon as the credits start rolling. All of the Marvel superhero movies have a little something extra at the end of the credits that will give hints to the next movie.

Anyway, I just thought I would share with y'all that it's a really good movie.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!! :goodvibes

I'm giving in to the new Spiderman and going to see it next week. (Even though I won't lie, I liked the 3rd movie haha.) I'm too much of a Spidey fan to not see it. Glad yall liked it! :)

That is so awesome about your run! I have fallen behind on mine and need to get back on track!!! Ive been working 60 hour weeks all on night shift and with Nicholas home for the summer and a puppy sleeping during the day between shifts has become near impossible but I really want to take on at least the 5k next year! A friend is doing the goofy! Maybe one day!!!

Thanks for the Spiderman review! Nick has been asking to go but I am not up on Spiderman movies.. may have to eatch the other ones before going! I love the little something extra at the end of the movies which I didn't know until someone mentioned when we went to see Iron Man 2.. we had been missing out!

Oh boy did I get behind, but I'm all caught up now.

Love the idea of your adult only date night, so fun, and the Neverland club sounds like such a fun place for Reid.

Love Love his costume, can't wait to see pictures of yours, it sounds amazing.

WOWOWOWOW on all your Disneystore finds, Love all the shirts you bought Reid.

Your plans for Ohana breakfast and MK day sound GREAT!!!

congrats on running 20 minutes:thumbsup2

Can't wait to see whats next

I have to say that I'm glad I gave in yesterday & agreed for us to go see the movie. And I'm sorry if I offended you about the 3rd Spiderman movie. Don't hate me! :duck:

You have to let me know what you think of the new Spidey film!

Thank you! It can be really easy to get off track with things like that. And it sounds like you have a very legitimate reason for that happening. I hope you'll be able to get back to it though. :thumbsup2

You're welcome! I was really unsure about taking Reid. But, I am glad now that we did. Even though a lot of it was over his head, he did really enjoy it. And Ed & I thought it was excellent. But, we love superhero stuff so we probably would've seen it even if we didn't a kid. :rotfl:

Glad to see you back! I understand how easy it an be to get behind on threads.

I'm really excited to try having a date night in Disney. I never really thought I would do something like that so we'll see how it goes.

Love Love his costume, can't wait to see pictures of yours, it sounds amazing.

I was so excited when I put his costume on him. It really is perfect! My friend is really doing a great job on my costume. Can't wait to see it all finished!

WOWOWOWOW on all your Disneystore finds, Love all the shirts you bought Reid.

Thanks! They had sooooo many cute things in the Disney outlet store. I really could've bought so much more.

Your plans for Ohana breakfast and MK day sound GREAT!!!

Aww, thank you! He's quite a character, let me tell you! He keeps me entertained.

That's so cool that y'all will be there at the same time as us & going to the same MNSSHP! :cool1: Will y'all be dressing up?

Thank you!

Oh goodness....that's not good! Hopefully, it'll start to feel better & you can get back to it! :thumbsup2

Cant wait to hear more about your plans. We are going to Ohana but not until Wed. lol.

That's too funny that we'll barely miss y'all at 'Ohana! I see in your signature that you have a PTR going. I'm going to have to go check it out.

Oh, no, not at all! Hahah I get it, most people didn't like that one. I'm not even sure why I do.

Well, at least someone liked it. :confused3

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm glad that you liked Spiderman! It's getting really good reviews!

We went to see Brave this week. We all liked it, but I don't think Merida is going to become Maddie's favorite princess. She does want me to make her both dresses though (along with a new Aurora dress and a possibly a new sparklier Cinderella dress :rotfl:)

So glad y'all got to see it! I had a feeling Merida wouldn't be Maddie's favorite princess. But she does have really pretty dresses! And of course she needs a sparklier Cindy dress - a princess can never have enough sparkles! :thumbsup2
