I finally found a way to get DH excited about Disney! - ADDED LINK TO TRIP REPORT

I really used to hate the way that Crocs looked, but my MiL started buying them for Mads. I figure they're good for her feet, and she loves them, but the real key for me is that she can put them on alone. :lmao:

I'm with you - I hated Crocs when they 1st came out. But, I'm all about anything that Reid can do by himself! :thumbsup2 And he loves them! He hasn't worn the Toy Story ones yet. But today, he worn the Green & Blue ones with the superhero jibbetz (or whatever they're called). The cool thing about those is that the top (the green part) changes color in the sun. They turn blue.

I don't blame you for not letting Reid wear the shirt! I only let Maddie wear one of the shirts that I bought for the trip before we went! And NONE of the white ones :lmao:

I'm so happy to know that I'm not the only one who does this. :rotfl2: In fact, Ed asked me Saturday night, "So, am I allowed to wear my new clothes or do I have to keep them in the drawers until Disney?" :rotfl: My response? "You can wear them now. But you better now stain or tear them!" I'm trying to keep Reid's shirts out of his sight so he won't ask to wear them too much. :lmao:

I saw the Princess Tervis Tumblers the other day and almost bought one, but I just couldn't. Maybe once I get a job... Tervis is my new addiction. I really need to get some cheaper addictions since my others are Yankee candles, Fiestaware, and Disney trips :rotfl2:

Reid & I went to Bed Bath & Beyond the other & he freaked out with all the different Disney & Star Wars tumblers there. He wanted me to buy every cup. I could spend a ridiculous amount of money on candles (I'm addicted to WoodWick & Tyler). And let's not even start up on Disney trips.

Darn it! again, I should have posted this on Roni's!

Girls the Bachelorette is almost over, but the train wreck that is Bachelor Pad starts soon!

I know.....I keep forgetting to go post some fun talk on her PTR. :headache:

I have never watched Bachelor Pad. Is it as much of a train wreck as it seems to be?

I'll answer that for you - YES. :lmao: But it's TOO much fun.

Yes, it is every bit the train wreck it looks. It's terrible and fun.

Maddie has the color change Crocs too! She loves them! (I may have gone overboard when buying her summer shoes. :rolleyes1:)

That's hilarious about Ed's shirts, I would have said the exact same thing to Bryan! :rotfl2:

I'll answer that for you - YES. :lmao: But it's TOO much fun.

:rotfl2: Ok, I may have to check this out!

Yes, it is every bit the train wreck it looks. It's terrible and fun.

:lmao: Y'all are making me want to watch this! When does it start?

Maddie has the color change Crocs too! She loves them! (I may have gone overboard when buying her summer shoes. :rolleyes1:)

The color change Crocs are so cool! I was only going to buy him the Toy Story pair but then my friend pointed out the color change ones. Well, the store was having a buy 2 pair get 1 free sale and since I already had a pair for me & a pair for him, I figured why not? :confused3 Saving money! :rotfl:

That's hilarious about Ed's shirts, I would have said the exact same thing to Bryan! :rotfl2:

 So glad to know I'm not alone in saying this!

Happy (late) 4th of July to everyone!

I hope everyone had a safe & fun holiday!

Before I get to my next update, I have 2 mini-updates:

1. C25K program: I am finally getting close to finishing! :cheer2: Yesterday, I had my 1st run without any walking breaks in between runs. I had to run for 20 minutes straight. Now, that may not seem like a big deal to some of you. But, just the thought of it had me terrified! I told Ed that I was considering calling the paramedics before I left the house just to have them follow me around the neighborhood. :rotfl2: But.....I did it! Without any walking! And without collapsing! :cool1: Now, don't get me wrong.....I was so slow there were snails speeding past me. But, I was just proud of myself for getting through it!

2. My Wendy costume: Yesterday, my friend Jana texted me some pictures of the dress. It was close-ups of the neckline & one of the sleeves she finished. It is looking fantastic! She said she'll need for me to go visit her soon for a fitting & then she should be able to finish it! I'm going to be the best looking Wendy in all the kingdom!

Okay......on to a PTR update!

So, I left off telling y'all about our date night on Mon., Oct. 1st. We'll eat at Citricos while Reid enjoys the Neverland Club. Then, it'll be back to OKW for some sweet dreams.

Tuesday, October 2nd

Hopefully, we'll have gotten some good rest the night before because we'll need to be up around 6am on this day. We'll get ready for the day & then head out to go to the main building at OKW. From there, we need to be catching a cab around 7am.

Where are we going? This place...............

Yes, we will be having breakfast at 730am with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey & Pluto. I am very excited to try out this meal. I have heard many good things about the character interaction. The food is okay from what I hear. But, we are not the pickiest of breakfast eaters so it should be fine for us. I have to say that I'm really excited to do a character meal that is not a traditional buffet. It'll be so nice to get to just sit down & enjoy a meal & have the food brought to us.

Reid really likes Lilo & Stitch so I'm excited for him to meet them. And it's always fun to get to see Mickey & Pluto. I have to say that the more I watch the movie "Lilo & Stitch", the more Stitch grows on me.......once he's sweet. I can't wait to see if Stitch "acts up" with Reid. I am hoping for some fun interaction for Reid. I also have to remember to snap a picture of Reid & Stitch with my iPhone. I want to text the picture to my uncle.......he HATES Stitch. Back in 2004, my entire family went to WDW. My uncle was in Tomorrowland looking at a map. Stitch snuck up on him & scared the living daylights out of him. :rotfl2:

Once we have our bellies full & have spent some time with our Disney friends, we will head out to the monorail. But, which park will we head to?

This one..............

Yes, we'll be heading to our favorite park (well, except for Ed...his is DHS & Epcot)! I am so ready to be there already! And I know I will be busting at the seams to get there for a full park day. The park opens at 9am this day. I'm thinking we should be there for Rope Drop. Of course, I can't wait to see this 1st thing in the morning.....

Normally, we head straight through the castle into Fantasyland. Reid & I would get in line for Dumbo while Ed headed to get FP's for Peter Pan. But, Dumbo moving to Storybook Circus has me rethinking this strategy especially since there is now a FP for Dumbo.

So, I think this will be our plan instead.......

Head straight through the castle & grab FP's for Peter Pan.

Ride this favorite that will surely make Ed moan & groan:

Love this ride so much! It's definitely a sentimental favorite of mine & so far Reid loves it as well.

When we get off of our happy cruise, we'll probably head here....

After we take a spin on the carousel, we'll probably head to Mickey's Philharmagic. I really love that show! But, for some reason, we didn't do it last year. Once we get out of there, I'm hoping it'll be time to use our FP's for Peter Pan. If so, we'll grab Dumbo FP's first (the FP machines for Dumbo are at Mickey's Philharmagic just in case anyone didn't know that yet). Once we have our Dumbo FP's, we'll go ride Peter Pan, which has become one of our favorite rides.

After Peter Pan, we'll wait in line to do another ride that we skipped last year for some reason: Winnie the Pooh. Again, I don't know why we didn't do this last year. I will say that Pooh & friends are not Reid's favorite characters although he has shown more interest in them lately.

From there, we'll make a quick stop here:

This one is a favorite of the whole family! Ed loves to spin really fast but I make him slow down a bit. :crazy2: This ride always gets deep belly laughs out of Reid that I just love! I usually shoot quite a few pictures on this ride because I love getting the looks of pure joy on Reid's face. Here's one of my favorites:

After we've spun our teacup round & round, I'm hoping it'll be close to time for our Dumbo FP. So, we'll head to Storybook Circus. I'll be so happy for this to be down & the walkway to be open:

If it's time, we'll head to Dumbo first & use our FP's. From there, we'll check out the re-themed Barnstormer. Hopefully, Reid will enjoy this. If not, I don't know how I'll get him on BTMRR.

After that, I'll try to steer Reid away from the Casey Jr. splash zone. I'll want to walk around the area though & take some pictures.

Once we've explored the new Storybook Circus, we will start making our way to Tomorrowland. I will head to get FP's for Buzz Lightyear while the boys go here...

Once they've made their way off the speedway, we'll see how close it is to our FP time for Buzz. Depending on how much time we have until we can use the FP, we'll do 1 of 3 things:

1. If it's time, we'll go to Buzz
2. If there's a little bit of time to kill, do the Peoplemover, Carousel of Progress, maybe take a nice break
3. If there's a lot of time before the FP is good, we may go ahead & go to lunch at Cosmic Rays.

Basically, in some sort of order, we will do all of the above.

Once all of the above is accomplished......we'll move on to the areas of the park that we hadn't hit yet.

Next update will have the afternoon/nighttime plans!

I am so so proud of you!!! Amanda that is wonderful!

BTW what happened to Ed, is he still on the Dis, or back to Lurker mode?

Ed, if you're listening....Small world is one of my must-dos. My whole family can't stand it. The little ones come on with me, everyone else goes on other rides...all good! Your wife, appreciates that you go on for her..

The teacups....I am much happier watching than riding. I can do 20 coasters, but spin me in a circle :crazy2:

Thank you so much! I was really proud of myself for being able to do it.

BTW what happened to Ed, is he still on the Dis, or back to Lurker mode?

He's back in lurker mode. But, he's been super busy with work & he's taken on a 2nd side consulting job. So, when he's home, he's usually doing work for the side job.

Ed, if you're listening....Small world is one of my must-dos. My whole family can't stand it. The little ones come on with me, everyone else goes on other rides...all good! Your wife, appreciates that you go on for her..

Awww, I'm glad the little ones will at least go on it with you. I can't lie - I have a great husband. I'm not saying he's perfect but neither am I. But, he'll ride the rides I love that he can't stand & spend as much time in MK with me as I want even though it's not his favorite park. And I have to say that he's always been this way, even before Reid.

The teacups....I am much happier watching than riding. I can do 20 coasters, but spin me in a circle :crazy2:

:rotfl2:

I like the teacups. I just don't like to go as fast as Ed would like. I did that once and......

But, we do have fun on them!

Congratulations! :thumbsup2

(the FP machines for Dumbo are at Mickey's Philharmagic just in case anyone didn't know that yet)
So does that mean they stopped doing FP for Pooh?:confused3

If not, I don't know how I'll get him on BTMRR.
You can always drag him on kicking and screaming telling him that he WILL ride it and he WILL enjoy it. That strategy seems to work for somebody just about everytime I'm in line for it. :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Congratulations! :thumbsup2

Thank you! :goodvibes

So does that mean they stopped doing FP for Pooh?:confused3

The blog I read about it had a picture of the FP machines outside of Mickey's Philharmagic. Looks like there are 2 FP signs above the machines: 1 sign for Dumbo & 1 sign for Winnie the Pooh. So, it looks like they have both. Also, from what I've read: 1 Dumbo will be used for standby riders & the other Dumbo will be used for FP riders. I think this is really going to help the lines on this ride!

:lmao::lmao: You're right!

I can see where it may take some coaxing with him. But, if he's screaming & crying - we're outta there!

Congrats on the C25K program! That is great! I got through week 4 back in May then stopped when we went on our trip and with the kids out of school now it's hard for me to find time to do it. I want to get back into though, I was actually enjoying it!

I can't wait to see your costume, I'm sure it will be fabulous.:thumbsup2

Oh you are trying Ohana! I hope you all like it as much as we do. Stitch is a lot of fun. That's too funny about your uncle!

I love the pic of Reid on the tea cups. Precious!

I bet Reid will like Barnstormer. Both of my kids loved it. We always knock out Fantasyland first thing in the morning!

Ok, I think I am convinced to watch Bachelor Pad. A reality show that is a fun trainwreck? Im sold! Chad may disown me...:lmao:

Awesome work on the C25K! Good for you!

We did 'Ohana breakfast and loved it. The food wasn't the best, but it certainly wasn't the worst, and the characters are great. Hawaiian Mickey and Pluto are so cute!

Yay! and MK day! I hope you guys get all the rides in that you'd like in the morning! I always forget how many rides you can accomplish when you're not stalking princesses!

Congrats on your program! You're doing an awesome job!

Aww, 'Ohana for breakfast sounds fun! You're right, it bet it's awesome to just be able to sit and wait for the characters to come instead of forming a plan of attack so you don't miss any characters and actually eat too. Very nice!

Oh goodness, the photo of Reid on the teacups is just TOO cute!!

OH and P.S. According to the commercial I saw during the Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad starts July 23!

Congrats on your long run! I've never run for even close to 20 minutes straight, so I can understand what a big accomplishment it is! :cheer2: You'll be ready for your big race in no time!

I was a little behind, but I have to say that Reid is soooo cute in his Captain Hook costume! He is going to have such a blast at MNSSHP!

Your MK plans look great! We're going to be at the MK that day too, so if you're up for it, we'd love to meet up for a ride! Oh, and I totally laughed out loud about the Casey Jr comment, I'm going to be doing the same thing with Everett! :rotfl:

Amanda, I will admit that I am so far behind on everyone's TR's that I don't know where I've left off on any of them.

Therefore, I am starting with the latest update.

We've never done Ohana (I'm with your Uncle...I'm not a Stitch fan at all) as I don't like a lot of what they serve (I don't eat eggs unless it is an omelet).

I do love your morning plans at the MK...they sound perfect (well, except for the "slow boat to China" :lmao::lmao::lmao:). I can't believe you missed Pooh last year.

Thanks for the info on where the FP machine is for Dumbo...we'll be heading there for sure.

I just love that picture of Reid on the Tea Cups.

I absolutely love Breakfast at Ohana and it is a must do for very trip we take. I think the food is fantastic especially the eggs :lovestruc

I also love the fact that the food is served family style and you don't have to get up and risk missing a character but get to sit at the table with the family and enjoy breakfast

Ok, first of all... OMG REID'S COSTUME IS SO CUTE!!!!! I love it!!!

Good to hear yours is coming along!! How exciting!! :goodvibes

WOW! Great news on your C25K program! :thumbsup2 Great progress! Congratulations!

Your plans sound great so far! I'm excited to hear about O'hana breakfast! I really wanted to try O'hana on our last trip, but we planned last minute so there were no openings! :sad2: That is funny about your uncle and Stitch! :rotfl2: I love it when the characters really interact with you!

Congrats on running 20 minutes straight. That IS a big deal, particularly if you live in a place that's getting this crazy heat. Way to go!

Your MK plans look great and I have to admit, I have always wanted to try the Ohana breakfast. It looks like so much fun.

Lovely pictures. Reid looks like he is having a blast on the teacups!

Thank you! That's about how I was - I had worked up to week 4 by the beginning of May. But, with the move, I didn't run at all in May. :sad2: So, I started back with week 3. You should definitely try to get back in it!

I can't wait to see your costume, I'm sure it will be fabulous.:thumbsup2

I'm so excited about my costume!!! I think all of costumes are coming together nicely!

Oh you are trying Ohana! I hope you all like it as much as we do. Stitch is a lot of fun. That's too funny about your uncle!

We sure are!!! I'm sure we'll like it. And I'm really excited to meet some new characters.

My uncle still fusses about Stitch scaring him! :rotfl2: I can't wait to text that picture to him.

I love the pic of Reid on the tea cups. Precious!

Thank you! That's one of my favorites from our trip last year.

I bet Reid will like Barnstormer. Both of my kids loved it. We always knock out Fantasyland first thing in the morning!

Well, I hope he will. We didn't get to ride it last year since it was shut down. And we made a fatal mistake with that ride back in 2010. It was Reid's 1st trip (he was 2 1/2). We weren't thinking & put him on that ride 1st. Yep, his 1st ride ever. He was all smiles at first. Then, we went up that 1st hill & he started screaming & crying. But, by the end his tears had dried & he smiled....kind of. :rotfl:

Ok, I think I am convinced to watch Bachelor Pad. A reality show that is a fun trainwreck? Im sold! Chad may disown me...:lmao:

Yeah, I think I've convinced myself that I need to watch this show. I'll definitely have to record it & watch when Ed goes to bed.

Awesome work on the C25K! Good for you!

Thank you so much!

We did 'Ohana breakfast and loved it. The food wasn't the best, but it certainly wasn't the worst, and the characters are great. Hawaiian Mickey and Pluto are so cute!

I'm really excited to give this character meal a try! If nothing else, it'll get us to MK early that day!

Yay! and MK day! I hope you guys get all the rides in that you'd like in the morning! I always forget how many rides you can accomplish when you're not stalking princesses!

I'm pretty commando in the parks....and so is Reid. If we sit still for more than 2 minutes, he starts up "Let's go! We need to go ride this & this & this..." I think I've created a monster! :rotfl2:

Congrats on your program! You're doing an awesome job!

Thank you! :goodvibes

I can't lie - one of the reason I'm so excited about this meal is that I get to sit & just eat. The food will come to me! I don't have to go & get food for myself & Reid & worry about missing characters. It really will be a nice change!

Oh goodness, the photo of Reid on the teacups is just TOO cute!!

Awww, thank you! He really has soooo much fun on that ride.

OH and P.S. According to the commercial I saw during the Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad starts July 23!

Thanks for the heads up! :thumbsup2 I'm going to try to remember to record to see what this craziness is all about! :rotfl:
