I finally broke 2M on Buzz Lightyear!

What irks me, though, is that, unofficially, I broke 3M earlier today. As some of you know, on occasion, post-ride pics display without their accompanying scores. I was so mad. I absolutely crushed it and couldn't claim the score. But I know it was well over 3M. So for now, the above will have to suffice.

There's a guy named Dave that's a BL pro (his official high score is 18M, unofficially I believe it's in the 25M range). He told me that the scores bounce to a server in FL, then to Texas then back to Anaheim. Why, I have no idea. He also told me the servers run on Win XP. So at some point in the chain, things can get lost on occasion.

Here's a trick to claim your high score when a pic doesn't come through. Look at the people both ahead and behind you. If you see their pics on the board post-ride, look for yours between theirs. Even if your pic is "Lost in Transmission" (or however they term the error), if you claim the pic as yours, you can still enter your initials for the high score board. I've had to do this many times.

Here are a few tips:

· Never shoot at the circle targets. They’re a waste of time.

· Do shoot the triangle and diamond targets, especially when they’re lit.

· Many people shoot a target once. Shoot all targets – esp. high-value ones – as many times as you can. In the first room, I hit the moving diamond (behind you as you enter) at least 20 times.

yeah, can someone explain the over 1 mill+ scores? i had once where we got stuck in the first room... just so happens to be in front of a triangle. I got my scores all the way up to 999,999. But it wont go past that. Went through the rest of the room, still shows 999,999 on the photo. Does it vary by cart?

No. The displays on all of the carts only go up to 999,999, so your score will never exceed that -- seemingly. However, your score will keep rolling as you continue to shoot targets. When you exit the ride, find your pic on the display and your true score will be revealed (in most cases). Best of luck!

everything gets bounced to Florida because its cheaper to maintain servers over there than here in Cali. I was told photopass pictures are also sent to Florida.
