ConvenientMD called today, which was surprising as my own doctor doesn't usually do follow up calls anymore. Based on another radiology reading and my pain levels, they are concerned that I have a deep bone bruise, which is basically edema in the bones due to micro-fissures from falling so hard on the bone. They are trying to schedule an MRI for Monday or Tuesday.

Sorry to hear about your fall.

I swear though, I could have written that headline because that's how I started my day walking over to Hollywood Studios. On the path from the Boardwalk area, I tripped, face planted on the concrete and now look like someone beat me.

My daughter was with me, plenty of people stopped, offered help, provided wipes, bandages, got assistance, etc. because I was a literal bloody mess.

Someone came down with a wheelchair and 2 people from Hollywood Studios came with us to first aid so that I could get in and patched up. The sum total of my injuries: swollen lip, large abrasions on right side of face, right knee all scraped up, palm the same and my right shoulder feels badly bruised. My cheek does too. But, luckily my teeth stayed firmly in place!

I will say this, they were great taking care of me. And I was surprised with a little pixie dust to help make up for the lost time while in first aid.

I'm sorry to hear about your fall. Sometimes I don't realize my age (65) until things like this happen. About a month ago, I tripped over the dogs bone and did a face plant onto the wooden floor. My right wrist hurt, my right elbow was hurting and swollen. Dr took xrays, nothing was broken but said the elbow bone was bruised? A few days later, after my daughter had gone down the ramp in the van, somehow I tripped over it and did a plant into the gutter. This time, it was my left ribs. It took the month for it all to feel remotely better. Here's wishing you a good holiday and rest, watching movies with hot chocolate.
