I took my DD to the movies tonight to see Teachers Pet and I had a little bit of popcorn....but I'm only in my first week of Induction....so I failed. I'm kicking myself right now. I was doing so good, lost close to 4 pounds then I went to the movies. So much for will power. Oh well, i'll start over again tomorrow.:( :(

Don't you dare kick yourself!!!!! Don't do anything but get back on your plan from this very minute. Don't wait until tomorrow. Continue now. You haven't done that much damage. You can just continue. You can do it! You can do it! You can do it! Just put the popcorn episode behind you and keep going!!!!!!! You can do it!!!!!

You haven't blown it. I used to have "all or nothing" thinking. It is that kind of thinking that will sabotage your efforts. Just move forward.

Back to business for you. Maybe next time you could arm yourself with some legal snacks in your purse.

You can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Moving on....

You most certainly DID NOT FAIL! You are only human and can't be expected to be perfect!!! You may have had a slight slip, but that doesn't mean you have to crash & burn. Forgive yourself and start fresh from this moment on. 4 pounds is a GREAT loss. I like to think of my weight loss in terms of sticks of butter. 4 pound is 16 sticks of butter. That's a GREAT loss!! ::yes::

I honestly believe that if I don't give myself little *treats* now and then, I'll totally lose control and eat everything in sight! Just so long as they are small *treats* occasionally - not as a bad habit!

Ginger, if one little slip is considered a failure then I'm in BIG trouble! :p Around here, we realize that we are human. This is a journey to healthy living. The road does not always run straight. Sometimes we hit a bump, sometimes we take a detour, but we always manage to get back on that road to healthy living.

You just hit a little bump - no big deal! Now it's back to business as usual.

Give yourself a pat on the back for having a small bump in the road and not a major sightseeing excursion that lasted for days! :teeth:  You're doing just fine! :sunny:

Ginger, we fall off the wagon all the time around here!

This is all about getting a little better all the time, NOT about trying to be perfect all the time!

Every day, with every temptation, we learn more about ourselves and what works for us. This was just one of those little lessons!

You're doing great. You're taking responsibility for your actions. This is not a catastrophe! Tomorrow's a new day, and you'll be starting it smarter and stronger!

Oh Ginger, if I had just a penny for every time I "fell off the wagon" during the 15 months of my weight loss, I'd buy WDW and take you all there to live with me! You are doing the most important thing: recognizing that you went off program a little, but are getting back on! You'll be back on track and feeling better in no time! We will not let you get discouraged!!!

You definately did not fail. It's a journey into a healthier way of life, and you just hit a road bump. It doesn't mean you failed. It just means that you brush yourself off and move on. None of us are perfect, it is just a learning tool. Next time, bring some approved items with you and eat them instead. You are doing great. Keep up the great work.

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes All I can say are you guys are great. Thanks for the kind words !! I'm feeling much better today. I just have to stay away from the theatre for a while.:grouphug: :grouphug:

I too cheated with popcorn yesterday!:( I went shopping with a friend to a place that has my all time favorite, Kettle Korn popcorn. THen we went to the movies and I ate some of her popcorn!! I feel your pain, I have done great for two weeks now and I was really kicking myself last night. But I got up and had bacon and eggs for breakfast and KNOW I will get back on track today! This time is different!!

We can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!:bounce:

Ginger, having a little of your DD's popcorn won't do you in. Just jump right back on the bandwagon today (it's like a horse if you fall off you have to get right back on). Those 4 pounds are already lost and you'll just keep losing, I know it. Smile today, put yesterday behind you, and keep on losing!
