I fell in love today while out looking at TT!!!!!!

I found one that I am in "like" with more than any others I have seen, and one I am in "love" with!!!!

Like: Cougar Lite 26BHS

LOVE: Cougar Lite 30BHS

Now, I just need to find the best deal.

The guy at Camping World was actually really great. (I put on my big girl pants and went back after the last experience.) The sales guy we spoke with last time recognized me, and pawned me off on this other guy. (YEAH FOR THAT!!!)

Anyway, he took us around the lot, showed us tons of units, told us why he liked certain campers over other ones, etc. He also told me that I could go out and search anywhere I would like, and they would match whatever price I found. That sounds great.....so, I guess we can see what happens?

Anyway, I just had to share! I mean, I would buy the unit today for the "right" price. And, I want to sell/trade mine ASAP now!

I really appreciate all the feedback. Everyone kept telling me I would know a unit I love, and I would find one, and I definitely did! DH is going to go look at it with me tomorrow! I can't wait!!!!! (I will try to take some pictures to share.)

This seems to be a good to buy. It's getting close enough to the end of summer (well, at least here in MN) that dealers want to run their stock down. We just got a great deal at General RV Centers. If the place near you will match prices, I would check theirs out on their website.

Go for LOVE, don't settle for LIKE, especially if you can find the right price.

I did some googling, seems 24k to 36k, 31k to be the average.

It's a really nice layout.

So, if that is retail, what do you think I can expect to pay? The dealer has a 2010 on the lot, so that could work in my favor. (I can't call the credit union until Monday though to finalize any kind of deal.)

Congrats on finding what you want! There are no words that can describe finding your home away from home. It's like you can practically taste the memories you will make there.

Check with petesrv.com. Call them. They are in Burlington VT and will save you a bunch if they carry that model. It was worth the drive from Fl to go there. Ask for Joe. They also carry used RVs at good prices.

If rv sales are weak in your area sale price could be around 55% of msrp. If they are strong look more at 65 to 70%. RV orders are up 99% from last yr (per CNN) so that could hinder any trade value. Good luck in your hunting and remember if you need to drive a few hrs to save a good deal of money you may get a much better deal. For some reason dealerships think that a deal 4 or 5 hrs away will make you buy from them to save time and effort. When we got ours last yr I was going to drive up to eight hrs ( up to central MI ) but a local dealer made the deal here after learning of my intentions. Make sure you post pics when you get it home.

Well, we didn't buy anything today, and I am shocked at what happened! The unit that I fell in love with, the salesman tried (and may have succeeded) in talking us out of it. My DH has given me the "free rein" to buy from two four different models that I showed him today.

The price difference in my favorite and his favorite is about $5,000 just going off the MSRP. It is just amazing that he thinks we should buy a much cheaper unit......

That's very strange. What was the reason he talked you out of the bigger model? I would think the extra space would be a plus. Maybe he's going to make more on the smaller unit. Go with the one you love, but maybe check other dealers to see if you can find it, just to get another perspective on it.
