I feel sick-Disney have cancelled my booking

Just to add
I have spoken to several cms over the last few weeks
And been very clear in our intentions to travel & KEEP bookings!

To be continued!

apparently I am not alone.
disney international have had ‘some issues’
And confirmed booking have been cancelled.

they are working to resolve this & park passes and MDE are not affected.

One of our two Yacht Club bookings also got cancelled today. As soon as I received the email I was on the phone. CM very nice, explained that the booking was lost and nothing could be done blah blah, would I like something else. After I had explained that it had to be YC or BC as I was staying at the same resort as my parents, and had already got split stay lined up for afterwards at AKL, WL and GF, and that room was still showing in My Disney Experience, she went off to discuss with “customer care team” for 30 mins before coming back to say that they had managed to save the booking as it had not yet been deleted from the main US servers and had reinstated it with a new UK booking number linked to the same US/MDE booking reference. Long story short, check MDE. If the booking is still showing they might be able to save it for you before the servers catch up with one another overnight.

Sorry to hear this! Perhaps they can move you over to Pop? That's an upgrade over the All Stars and still a pretty reasonable price.

A friend's FW booking in November disappeared sometime in May. She had made the first payment with the Chase Rewards card. She called and best Disney could tell, there was an issue with the rewards card and rather than notify her or charge the cc on file, they canceled it.

And it's gone. Due to the re-bookings and existing reservations, they wouldn't re-book her prior reservation. She had to re-book in July of next year.

So these were both international guests that were cancelled? Sounds like they are preparing for prolonged boarder shutdowns.

I have a feeling it might be a glitch that has to do with the fact that UK guests had to confirm with WDTC UK by June 27th if we wanted to keep, cancel or modify our bookings. If no confirmation was made the booking would be cancelled. I assume the system somehow have cancelled some peoples bookings even though they confirmed they'd still come. It's just a guess on my part though.

Yes, that is exactly what has happened. And it’s must be affecting quite a few people.

Due to arrive end of october
2 bookings at all stars
(Music & sports)

Currently on hold
They better not cut me off

Was checking emails & weirdly thought email was regarding resort change; imagine how I felt when I saw cancellation!😫
Have you managed to sort it out? Fingers crossed for you!

Are you booked with Disney and did you respond to the email asking what you wanted your options to be? If you didn't respond telling them that you wished to keep your reservation by June 27th it would automatically be cancelled. I'm in a wait line to talk about my reservation using a new number on their website 0800 028 0778 and my wait time is 13 minutes!

Wow, just vented to a CM about how Disney have treated and are treating UK guests rather shabbily, I was polite, but, when told there is no compensation or refund on Park Hoppers that can't be used for Park hopping on top of the other answers that basically left me feeling that Disney don't a fig about UK guests currently left in limbo, I did take the opportunity to let her know that the offer of a 35% discount to guests that currently cannot travel to the US that was given after the border restrictions came in and cannot be transferred if we are unable to travel was pretty useless and rather cynical of Disney. All she kept saying was that I could be refunded, pretty much their stock response and making it clear they want us to cancel our trips.

If Disney had an ounce of sense and goodwill they would allow UK the opportunity to use the 35% on a similar reservation or take the amount of the discount, in my case £688, off a room reservation in any hotel through to the end of September or December 2021.
So much for the magic eh.

You may or may not agree with me, but, we have saved for our trips and have the funds available, is that going to be the case for US guests next year?

I get that you’re upset but this is a weird and inflammatory thing to say. Plenty of US guests were PIF for cancelled trips (some of us with thousands on gift cards) and have already booked for next year, and none of us were able to get our discounts moved either btw. We were booked at Poly CL on an AP discount, you really think we got that pricing back for May 2021? This is SOP for everyone, UK guests aren’t being uniquely singled out. Nor will UK guests be uniquely unaffected by an economic slowdown in an increasingly connected world during a global pandemic. Y’all already have tour operators stating they’re not booking anything to Orlando for the foreseeable future.
