I requested the same thing on my original reservation and then sent a FAX a few days before we arrived, and I got exactly what I requested. We could see the Epcot ball and some of the fireworks from our room.

LOL...depends on who you ask. There seems to be alot of conflict regarding that subject.

To the OP, we always make our requests ahead of time, fax a few days prior (which we are insured they DO recieve) and ask again at check in--we have always managed to get our requests.
