Hi guys

Getting prepared for our april trip (27th to 10th May) and have a few hotel options.

We love to stay on i drive and have used the Metropolitan Express the last 8/9 times but the accomodations and service were the worst ever at Christmas, so we want to try something different.

The options are:

Enclave Suites - like the idea of a suite and balcony
Hawthorn Suites - Canada ave
Comfort Inn -I Drive
Homewood Suites - american way

Reviews are ok for each of them, so wondered if any of the experts on here have any reviews, suggestions

Thanks guys :wizard:

Have you priced the rosen inn pointe orlando (was quality inn plaza)

We stayed there a few nights a couple of years ago and I thought it was great for the price - free internet, fridge in room.

The location is good - opposite is a walgreens and millers ale house. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Have you looked at International Palms - just had a refurb and rooms are looking amazing!

Hampton Inn and Suites - american way

Enclave Suites - heard rubbish things. Reviews decidedly mediocre. Location is OK if you intend to walk to Universal or Wet 'n' Wild often but not so good for dining.

Hawthorn Suites - we looked at this and decided it wasn't much of anything. Not close enough to Universal to compensate for being at the "worse" end of I-Drive.

Comfort Inn - Looks fine but they wanted too much for our dates compared to what we felt it was worth. Good location.

Hampton Inn and Suites - Is there one on American Way?! I've never seen one. :confused3

Of those, I'd take the Comfort Inn if the price were right.

Shame you are not happy with the hotel anymore, I know you have had some good times there. Its always such a great price, EasyClickTravel have it at £20.51\nt incl breakfast.

Econolodge Inn & Suites is showing at a similar price, I don't know anything about it, friends stayed there last year and enjoyed it but thats nothing to go by.

Once you have decided or narrowed it down let me know how much & I will try find a better prices.

Sorry its the homewood suites american way

We were going to book this for our August trip (before booking in to the Peabody just down the road - it was a great deal) so I'd recommend looking into this. :thumbsup2

There has been some great rates for Peabody recently (from around £60/nt) but be aware of all the extras they charge for.

•Refrigerator fee: USD 20 per day
•In-room microwave fee: USD 20 per day
•Rollaway bed fee: USD 20 per day
•Resort fee: USD 9.59 per accommodation, per night

•Hotel resort fee inclusions:
•Internet access property-wide
•Phone calls (local)
•Use of fitness center
•In-room bottled water
•Additional inclusions

Here we go again....

Change of plans....booked a 3 bed condo at Terrace Ridge ( we like the area - had a villa nearby a few years ago) for way less than a pretty standard hotel - £580 for the two weeks.

Thanks for the advice guys.......i'll be posting a full plan later this week for you to cast your eyes over.........

On with the planning :surfweb::cheer2:

Sounds awesome! We stick to I-Drive because we don't want the expense of renting a car and because we like to have a few cocktails etc. in the evenings - but if we didn't have those requirements, we'd definitely rent a condo somewhere.

We normally stick to the 'Drive, but we thought we'd try something a bit different.

We tried a villa in the same area a few years ago abd didn't really enjoy it, but that was probaby coz we were there with friends and kids and it didn't suit our type of holiday.....

...also the costs for a villa for the two of us would normally make it uneconomical, then i found this condo bargain and it was too good to pass up.

I've spent years trying to convince my fussy other half that we would be able to cook the same kind of meals over in florida but he's not convinced, so i'll be able to prove him wrong this time :cheer2::littleangel::cheer2::laughing:

27th April we fly out to MCO same day. Staying at Westgate Lakes (Turkey Lake Rd)

Can't wait roll on April!!!
