Yikes SO many updates at once!! I love it!!!

I love your overtired shenanigans!! Best! So glad they were captured! You guys make me want a video camera so bad!

Ahhhhh Norman the deer is adorable :goodvibes
Good work for figuring out the deer noise:rotfl2:

You can really see the pure excitement in your schoolbread pics!!
They really need to sell schoolbread t-shirts and merch in Norway!

Oh my gosh, so many updates! I need a breather now lol I can't believe how you document all this craziness so well. I'd be overwhelmed  You just have way too much fun! Well, that's okay... it's Disney! But anyways, because I'd rather not bore you to death with what has already been said, but I'm having a hard time staying put and not eating my computer. ZEBRA DOMES! SCHOOLBREAD! RICE CREAM! YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY! Geez, I may die from a need for Disney food and feeling all other food is inferior. Gosh!

Loving all the pictures as usual! You must have epic camera skills to get all these great pictures whilst trying to keep up with plans and such. So jealous you got to meet such great characters! Will definitely have to be on the lookout for Tiana on my next trip. She is just all kinds of awesome! :thumbsup2 to all your ride choices! A shame Splash wasn't exactly altogether. :/ Poor Nat on that day in MK, Disney really can take a lot out of you. Who knew magic drained you so much?

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Hi!I just wanted to drop by and tell you that I only recently discovered the amazing TRs of the amazing Disneyfreaks!:)

Just read Bathrobe Princesses and it was MAGICAL!:)

I LOVED,LOVED,LOVED the "Bathrobe Princesses LIVE at Beaches and Cream" "concert".:) I can't wait for the album to come out and I heard a rumor that the Bathrobe Princesses will be opening for Taylor Swift on here next tour.;):)

508 is going to be an awesome DCP CM!:)

I have a lot of TRs to read!I am reading them with a Deer Face.:)

Ohhhh, those special dessert plates look srumdidiliumptious.

Sadly, I have yet to be the Rebel Spy on Star Tours. My brother has been....but not me. It's not in the frumpy stars.

Hahaha, Boma Coma. How true.

"Welcome Welcome Welcome!"

Wow....seems like it took a while for Nat to get her extra extra large coffee. :lmao:

Just finally catching up... Your trip sounded fantastic, and all the other trips you were able to go on this year sounded great too! I didnt realize it until now but we were here at the same time in August. And I will also be here at the same time as you in December as I am a CP :goodvibes It would be so much fun to meet up with you!

We said hello to Tiana, and she asked where we were from. We told her, and she asked us about one of the food festivals that we have in our area each summer. We were so excited that she knew about it! She really does know all about food!

This is so cool! We are from the St. Louis area, and she asked us about gooey butter cake. It was awesome.

Also, the Kjottkake always sounded gross to me on the menu, but they look delicious--sort of like Swedish Meatballs.

Whoa baby! Love the updates! Let's see, boma coma, surprise princess meal, general shenanigans! Love it all!

Thanks! More is coming up soon!

You know, Tiana and Ariel are on my list of "favorite princess gowns". The others--Cinderella and Belle. Those gowns are just so beautiful! Oh, and Kristen, along with the announcement of "Limited Time Magic" (the 2013 Disney promotion), they also gave us a first look at Cindy's new look in the parks, which was just recently unveiled:

Anyways, enough about me going all fangirl here (even though I'm a man). Can't wait for the next frump-date!

P.S. Notice I just busted

party:100 POSTS!party:

They're two of th best! I love Cinderella's new gown as well! Definitely a fangirl haha.

The video of you eating the school bread made me laugh out loud. :rotfl: You are too funny!

Hahaha well thank you! That's such a great compliment. :goodvibes

Loving all these updates girl!!! I can't even think of things to say, but you're movin' right along! :upsidedow Get it.

Thanks! Hahaha I do. More is coming soon!

Did you just do SEVEN updates?? I'm glad to see that you had some free time on your hands - loved the updates!! :p

I was so glad to see an Akershus review for something other than breakfast. Although if you had to share the plate of desserts I'd be asking for more.... I don't share pastries well! And that rice cream with strawberry sauce, I have to try that some time.

So much fun and frumping for one day it's no wonder your tootsies were tired!!! (well, not yours but Jess and Nats!) :)

I did a month ago!! Time FLIES over here. But thank you!

I think I was just too full, otherwise I would have! Dinner was really great though! Definietly a good option for a character meal.

My feet are very resilient, but I was pretty tired after that day.

Yikes SO many updates at once!! I love it!!!

Thanks! So am I! It was definitely a good investment for us.

He is my favorite. Thank you! It was a monumental moment.

Oh I was very excited. And yes they do! I actually have one that Jess made for me though. :)

Love the updates! Keep them coming! :goodvibes

Thanks! I will!

I nearly die from that feeling all the time. There are few foods which are up to par with what Disney has to offer.

Thanks! It's pretty crazy. My mind is constantly going. That was an awesome character day though! Tiana was perfect! The magic definitely took its toll on poor Nat. :/

Same here! I would definitely say that it's a lot like Swedish Meatballs though. So good!

Chapter 41- Finally Going Home!

August 24th, 2011

Hi there everybody! First off,
I would like to apologize for my absence. Life has been absolutely crazy! My last musical EVER was last weekend, and I was sort of a wreck after the last show. We did Oklahoma, and it was probably the best cast of a show I've ever been in. It was small, close-knit, and we had a BLAST. When the curtain was closing on the last curtain call of the last show, I completely broke down. I cried on dozens of shoulders, and all of those people now have serious makeup stains on their clothes. It was the most fun I've had doing a show in my life, and I was in a state of denial/depression for a couple days. The Thanksgiving/Black Friday festivities have helped me to snap out of it, but I thought I'd show you all my lovely costume anyway!

imageuut.jpg

I didn't like it at first, when I saw it on the hanger. It was SOOO heavy. I had the heaviest one, and no one knew why. That thing was a workout to wear! However, as soon as I put it on I fell in love with it and the character and everything about the show. Unfortunately, this costume broke after one show, so I ended up going through three different costumes, plus one that didn't break for another scene. My other two weren't as good as this one, but oh well. That's show business!

In other news, and since I have been gone for over a MONTH, Halloween has come and gone! I was Princess Jasmine this year, courtesy of Jess' costume and some self-tanning. One of the directors of my show was Cinderella, so we just had to pose for a picture together, and I thought I'd share it with all of you!

imageegv.jpg

It was so fun!

And now that that's all out of the way, I want to apologize AGAIN to you all. You are all such loyal readers and I seriously don't deserve you!

I'm hoping to finish this TR before my trip in JUST 15 DAYS, so bear with me while I post giant chunks of updates! And I'll hopefully be able to do a little PTR post, so stay tuned for that!

And now, on with the show!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

We woke up the next morning a little on the late side. Okay, so it was 8 A.M., but that's late when you're in Disney! We got ready and I brought my luggage up to my parents' room at about 8:30. We loaded up the car, said goodbye to Nat and Jess, and drove off to AKL! This is when the trip report changes, folks. Everything from here on out is BRAND NEW INFORMATION.

Ooooh, ahhhh....

We arrived at AKL in no time at all, and I was so very happy to be home. I wandered all over Jambo House and took pictures while Mom checked us in.

dsc010732.jpg

I love that giant window. It's absolutely breathtaking.

dsc00407k.jpg

dsc010752i.jpg

Outside we go!
dsc00403onl.jpg

dsc00406rz.jpg

The beautiful lobby:
dsc00397wb.jpg

Hellooo down there!
dsc00400m.jpg

dsc00401sp.jpg

We left our luggage with bell services and went down to the Mara to grab a later breakfast-ish snack to tide us over for a while, as well as our refillable mugs. I shared a raspberry smoothie with Sarah and a chocolate pastry with myself.

dsc01059vn.jpg

dsc05806bb.jpg

Here's a tip: If you're staying at AKL or want to try something new, check out the Mara! It's an awesome quick-service and they have the best smoothies! You can also get great smoothies, like a Mango Lassi, at Sanaa over at Kidani Village. They're great for cooling off in the crazy summer heat.

We went up to the Jambo bus stop and were off to Animal Kingdom!

We booked it to Finding Nemo: the Musical once we got there, because Mom really wanted to see it and there was one starting at 11:30.

We just made it, and it was a nice escape from the heat of DAK.

dscn0272r.jpg

dscn0273t.jpg

Gotta love that Big Blue World.

After the show, we decided that we should just have lunch, because our snacks hadn't held us for long.

The smell of the Flame Tree BBQ was beckoning to us, so off we went!

dsc05853z.jpg

If I could bottle a smell...

We ordered and found a nice little shady pavilion to eat in. The seating area for Flame Tree is so beautiful! There are all these lanterns and beautiful colors, and also streams and rock formations. It's perfect!

dsc05871c.jpg

Mom and I decided to share the chicken and ribs platter, which was delicious! I love me some good BBQ.
dsc05867c.jpg

Scott had the Flame Tree salad, whose photo escapes me. However, I remember trying some and commenting that it was REALLY good. Definitely an excellent salad option at DAK.

Sarah, who wasn't as hungry as we were, had this beautiful fruit plate!
dsc05864q.jpg

There was so much beautiful, fresh fruit on here, and it came with yogurt too! It was the perfect meal for our little eater.

We all had Key Lime Mousse for dessert, which was kind of a weird texture on top, but very refreshing and pretty good all the same.
dsc05865b.jpg

The other great thing about the Flame Tree seating is the unexpected surprises. Sarah found this guy and they quickly became pals.

dsc05879q.jpg

Also, you can see Expedition Everest from one of the clearings!

dscn0276a.jpg

We headed off to Dinosaur next so Scott and I could ride it (Mom can't handle the jerking and Sarah's a chicken), but the wait was 50 minutes! We decided to grab some Fastpasses for later.

Scott and Sarah headed back to AKL to see if the room was ready and go swimming, while Mom and I browsed the shops and queued up for the 2:30 FOTLK show.

We were seated in the Elephant section, and we had a lot of fun making the noises. It was a great show, as it always is, and my Mom was having the time of her life clappin' along.

dsc05926ib.jpg

dsc05953td.jpg

dsc05963xj.jpg

After the show, it looked like it was going to rain, so we decided to head back and clean up before dinner. Would our room be ready? Would Sarah and Scott get a chance to swim at all? And, most importantly, WHERE ARE WE EATING!?

Shut up with all the questions and stay tuned!

Yay!! I'm so happy for an update..you have been missed :goodvibes

I totally understand about the emotions after a show..I cried during curtain call after my last performance of "Bye Bye Birdie" in high school.

Your Jasmine costume was really cute..you looked so tan.

As always, your photos are gorgeous. I can't wait to stay at AKL!!

Finding Nemo is my fave show at WDW. The performers are just amazing.

Mmmm, Flame Tree BBQ. Yum.

Looking forward to next update.

Chapter 42- FOOD NIRVANA

August 24th, 2011

As soon as Mom and I boarded the bus to AKL, it started to pour! We got back and looked around Zawadi Marketplace and refilled our mugs at the Mara. Then we went up to room 3020 to check it out!

It was a beautiful pool view room and we loved it! Here's mine and Sarah's bed:
dsc05981l.jpg

And our towel Mickey:
dsc05983f.jpg

The thing that I love the most about the AKL rooms is all the Hidden Mickeys everywhere! These were on the bedspread alone!
dsc06003v.jpg

dsc06004o.jpg

dsc06005q.jpg

It turned out that Sarah and Scott had been able to swim for a little while before it poured. We all freshened up and chilled in the new room for a little while, and then headed right on back to DAK!

Scott and I headed off to use our Dinosaur Fastpasses before dinner.

dsc06008jq.jpg

It was his first time on the ride and he loved it! His face in this pic is HILARIOUS.

dsc06019u.jpg

Now here is where being a redneck Frump comes in handy. I took a picture of our ride photo at the end, and when we left the dump shop, Scott realized that he had left his hat on the ride. Being an educated DISer, I knew that all I had to do was tell the CM the ride number, and he would get the hat back. In a matter of minutes, the hat was back on Scott's big bald head and we were headed to meet Mom and Sarah for dinner!

We passed this big boy on the way...
dsc06021z.jpg

...and found Sarah playing these like a pro.
dscn0281x.jpg

We tore her away from that inconsistent career and checked in here!
dscn0283h.jpg

It was all of our first time at Yak and Yeti and we couldn't wait to try it!

Hungry child:
dsc06037h.jpg

Goof and Goof Jr.:
dsc06042r.jpg

We were seated upstairs at a nice, quiet window table with a lovely view of the park!
dsc06050n.jpg

dsc06055h.jpg

We ordered and waited not-so-patiently.

dscn0287xd.jpg

dscn0288y.jpg

We're all fairly good at hiding it, but we were HUNGRY. In what seemed like WAY longer than it was, our food arrived!

Sarah ordered the sweet-and-sour chicken, and she ate almost the whole thing! That's how you know food is good!
dsc06044d.jpg

Scott ordered the Mahi-Mahi, and it was fantastic! Such a flavorful fish with such a cool twist! He loved it!
dsc06047s.jpg

Mom ordered the Tempura Shrimp, which definitely hit the spot for her. She gobbled it right up!
dsc06045ul.jpg

I went with a recommendation from Jess from her trip with Mother that April. She RAVED about the Shrimp Lo Mein, so I just had to try it!
dsc06043ip.jpg

Boy, was I glad I did! That stuff is probably some of the best lo mein I've ever had. The veggies were fresh and delish, the shrimp was perfectly cooked, and the flavor of the noodles has so far been unmatched. It was excellent!

We chowed down and ate a TON, but of course we had to leave room for dessert!

Mom and Scott both had the Mango Pie, which was not too heavy and really good!
dsc06057t.jpg

Sarah had the Cheesecake with Mango and Raspberry sauces, which she LOVED. She didn't stop talking about how good that was for a while. So creamy and the sauces were spot-on.
dsc06061.jpg

I had to go with the classic, of course. I had heard about the Fried Wontons from dozens of DISers, and I had to see if they were as good as they sounded.
dsc06058zw.jpg

OH. MY. GOODNESS. This is one of the best desserts that I have had in all my days. WOW. SO GOOD. The wontons were crispy, the filling was sweet and the fresh fruit was exactly what it needed to balance out all the flavors. I loved it and I refused to leave until I finished the entire thing. It was so good.

Overall, Yak and Yeti was wonderful! I will definitely go back again and again, and have since then!

Next up, we see some old friends and visit some nostalgic places!

Aww well thank you for reading!

I was a complete mess. It was so sad! I hate endings and goodbyes.

Thank you! I definitely got into it.

Thanks! It's such a beautiful resort!

They are all so talented. It never ceases to amaze me.

SO GOOD.

It's up now!

Chapter 43- "Why Am I Not Wearing a Bathrobe?"

August 24th, 2011

Mom just couldn't let the Yak and Yeti photo ops go to waste!

dscn0292f.jpg

dscn0295y.jpg

After that, Scott and Sarah had some Everest Fastpasses to use!

dsc06070qs.jpg

Those two are fearless in the face of potential upchuck.

Mom and I wandered back to the exit, where we were to meet Scott and Sarah. We just took in all the scenery and enjoyed it.

dsc06074y.jpg

When Scott and Sarah showed up, we headed off to the EPCOT bus stop, but a bus was pulling away. We decided to take the waiting TTC bus instead, and catch a monorail from there.

dscn0302v.jpg

While we were on the bus, a friendly Spanish family sang "Feliz Cumpleanos" to me and Sarah because they saw our buttons. It was so sweet.

We got to the TTC, and the sun was setting as we waited for the monorail.

dsc06079oz.jpg

dsc06083t.jpg

We boarded Monorail Lime and were circling EPCOT in no time!

dsc06085k.jpg

dsc06090zq.jpg

dsc06095nd.jpg

I love the colors on Spaceship Earth when the sun is setting.

dsc06103m.jpg

My fountain
dsc06119kk.jpg

We headed to World Showcase, and Mom got a latte from the kiosk next to Port of Entry. We got a great spot for Illuminations right in the middle, across the water from the American Adventure pavilion. While we waited, I became friends with these two little kids, Lexie and Collin. Their mom surprised them with a surprise trip, and they told me all about the fun they had been having. It was so cute and a great way to pass the time. Before I knew it, it was dark and Illuminations was starting!

dsc06143.jpg

dsc06168pw.jpg

dsc06179k.jpg

dsc06199ho.jpg

Since we were right by the railing, the fireworks seemed so close! Lexie and Collin were totally in awe of them. Their faces were priceless.

dscn0307ul.jpg

dscn0319x.jpg

dscn0320jx.jpg

Just as Illuminations ended, we heard someone behind say Scott's full name. We all turned and saw some of my parents' friends from back home! They were staying at Old Key West and were looking into buying DVC as well! We chatted for a while with them, and then headed out of the park this way:
dsc06210qm.jpg

Why, you may ask? Well, Sarah had been begging to go to Beaches and Cream for days, so we decided to head on over to the Beach Club! As soon as I started to see the EPCOT resorts, my heart broke a little. Where were Vick and Jess? And why oh why wasn't I wearing a bathrobe. I was getting very nostalgic.

Beaches and Cream was really crowded, so we decided to order from the to-go side and eat at one of the tables outside. I don't have any pictures of our food (for some odd reason) but I know that I had the most giant ice cream cookie sandwich ever! It was fabulous.

We sat right by the railing next to the pool, and it was fun to watch all the activity at night.

dsc06242ng.jpg

After we ate, we walked over to my home sweet home, the YaCHt Club! I gave the tour to the fam, and we chilled in the lobby for a few. I just took some deep breaths. The smell in there is simply DIVINE.

dsc06263h.jpg

dsc06267f.jpg

Then we headed out to the bus stop and took the bus to DTD, because that was all that was still open. Then that same bus changed over to an AKL bus so we stayed on. After a while we got back to the room and crashed.

Chapter 44- Just Taking It All In

August 25th, 2011

The next morning, I was moving a little slow. Mom was, however, determined to get to Magic Kingdom rope drop, so they ended up leaving me behind. I caught my own bus and still managed to get to MK at about 8:15. I leisurely made my way down Main Street.

dsc06277q.jpg

dsc06308g.jpg

The Trolley Show was going on near the hub, so of course I had to stop and watch! I'm obsessed with it.

dsc06292z.jpg

dsc06296j.jpg

dsc06297h.jpg

Good mornin', Walt!
dsc06306kv.jpg

The sky was so wonderfully blue that morning, that I got a little carried away taking Castle pictures.

dsc06311cv.jpg

dsc06312w.jpg

dsc06315x.jpg

dsc06316x.jpg

I went around to the side of the Castle to meet up with the fam, who were all in line to meet Rapunzel. I took some more pictures while I waited.

dsc06321a.jpg

dsc06324n.jpg

dscn0329ns.jpg

Close-ups!
dscn0332e.jpg

dscn0331ia.jpg

For those of you who don't know, that particular side of the Castle is home to Cinderella's Wishing Well, aka my future place of marriage proposal. I really hope my future husband is reading this so he knows.

dsc06322ol.jpg

There's even a little plaque:
dsc06323y.jpg

While they waited in line, I decided to go see about Pin Trading in Sir Mickey's. I traded for an awesome Tower of Terror key pin from a nice elderly CM in there.

The Castle even looks pretty from the back:
dsc06329p.jpg

As I was walking back to the line, I saw this girl having a photo shoot by Cinderella's fountain. Lucky! Of course I did the "Creep" and sniped this pic:
dsc06328hf.jpg

I went back to the line and Mom and Scott decided to go to the Main Street Bakery to grab breakfast for all of us. Sarah and I stayed back. She was very excited.

dscn0338l.jpg

So were the ducks...
dscn0356y.jpg

She got her autograph book out and ready!
dscn0347n.jpg

dscn0351q.jpg

Sarah and I shared a breakfast croissant and a water when the parents got back. They shared one as well. It really hit the spot!
dscn0359j.jpg

dscn0358e.jpg

Pretty soon, we were being let into Rapunzel's meeting area! Stay tuned!

Chapter 45- "Watch out- Flynn Has a Thing For Brunettes."

August 25th, 2011

When we were finally let into the meeting area, I was completely in awe. I immediately started snapping away. The details and little touches were beautiful.

The lanterns:
dscn0335h.jpg

dscn0336o.jpg

It's all in the details:
dscn0363ep.jpg

dscn0364d.jpg

The whole area:
dscn0366wp.jpg

The symbol of her kingdom:
dscn0365o.jpg

A lovely fountain:
dscn0367m.jpg

There were only a couple of families in front of us, and then we were up!

dscn0373d.jpg

This Rapunzel was so perfect! She sounded EXACTLY like Mandy Moore. She saw our birthday buttons and went "I LOVE birthdays!" She sounded so much like the animated Rapunzel that I almost died. I was so excited. We talked about birthday cupcakes and she asked what kind were my favorite. Red velvet, of course!

dscn0374h.jpg

She also told me to watch out for Flynn, because he has a thing for brunettes.

As far as I'm concerned, he can have me. TAKE ME FLYNN, I'M YOURS.

Then we talked about what we were planning to do that day, and I mentioned that we were planning on seeing Fantasmic later. She said she hadn't heard of that, so I explained it to her. She thought that she should most certainly be in it, and I agreed. It was the best character interaction ever! We loved her!

dscn0376v.jpg

After we said goodbye to Rapunzel, we decided that it was high time for a spin on the Mad Tea Party! We ended up being on the same ride as Alice and the White Rabbit, but not in the same teacup.

dsc06344j.jpg

There they are!
dscn0378dg.jpg

dscn0377l.jpg

And there we are!
dscn0380ro.jpg

After one heck of a spin, Scott and Sarah went to use their BTMRR FP's that they had grabbed earlier. Mom and I decided on a more relaxing adventure on the TTA. Afterward, we decided that it was smoothie time! And where better to go in the Land of Tomorrow than Auntie Gravity's!

dsc06345ur.jpg

dsc06348ip.jpg

We sat under the TTA overhang and enjoyed our smoothie, because there was a bit of a sun-shower going on. We made friends with this cute little baby and played peek-a-boo with him. It was quite entertaining for all parties involved.

When the rain let up, we met Scott and Sarah at the Castle so we could watch Dream Along with Mickey.

*Note the color of the sky in that last shot. Looks pretty nice out, right?

We watched the 10:35 show, which was lovable and cute as always. The music in this show is so catchy!

I like the princess part:

By the time Dream Along with Mickey was over, the sky looked like this:

Uh-oh. Was a storm brewing? Where would we go? Stay tuned, y'all!

Chapter 46- "Hey! Get
Up...Again!"

August 25th, 2011

We decided to go ahead and have lunch a little early, since we had an early dinner planned and it looked like rain. So we headed over to a childhood favorite of mine- Cosmic Ray's!

dsc06463r.jpg

Sarah ordered a hot dog and fries. Typical kid food, but so good!
dsc06449i.jpg

dsc06448e.jpg

She even got some free Tangled crayons! Woot.
dsc06460n.jpg

Scott had some sort of healthy salad-ish thing. It was really good and he loved it!
dsc06455vx.jpg

Mom and I both went the unhealthy, yet totally classic route. Burger and fries all the way!
dsc06457wz.jpg

With all the toppings and awesomeness of a Disney burger, it was perfect!

I had carrot cake for my dessert, which was pretty darn good!
dsc06458r.jpg

We sat outside on the patio to eat, and we had a lovely view of the Castle and the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It Street Party. Then, once we had finished eating, we headed down to the Hub and the street party was going on again! Since the weather had cleared up, we stuck around for it.
dsc06482t.jpg

I love how you see the obscure characters in this parade! Here's Sebastian:
dsc06487u.jpg

The Mad Hatter:
dsc06498s.jpg

And the Genie:
dsc06509k.jpg

I got pretty into and danced my way all the way up Main Street.

dsc06520i.jpg

But we weren't leaving the Magic Kingdom just yet! Mom suggested we take a ride around on the train, so that's just what we did!

I love the train. I love the sound that you hear when you first walk in the park, I love the narrator, and I love that they even theme the scenery as you go between lands. It's one of my favorite Disney things.

When we got to the old Toontown station, we stopped for a moment, but I could barely see any of the construction! Disney does a pretty good job of covering it all up. I was happy to see the old Toontown shed though!
dsc06531c.jpg

As we rode around to the front of the park again, I spotted two very awesome resorts, one of which I will be checking into in JUST 15 DAYS!! WOOOO!!!!!!
dsc06535s.jpg

dsc06536qe.jpg

We hopped off the train, but we STILL weren't leaving. We decided to actually meet Mickey and Minnie at the Town Square Theater, because the wait time was only 5 minutes.

dsc06548u.jpg

Sadly, there were no Frump surprises this time. ):

We got through to the meeting room in no time at all, and it was so cute! I loved how it was themed like a backstage dressing room! Mickey and Minnie were so perfect. Mickey loved my shirt, and he did a little happy dance when he saw me. Minnie loved Mom's dress, because it was red with polka dots. She also pointed to my eyes and then to her own, and she was all excited because we were both wearing blue eyeshadow that day! It was so cute!

dscn0398s.jpg

dscn0399ck.jpg

(By the way, folks, blue eyeshadow is back in. Minnie is such a trendsetter.)

The whole meet-and-greet was so adorable and I loved it!

dscn0400w.jpg

Afterwards, in the dump shop, I noticed the single most awesome costume EVER that was on display. We took a picture.
dscn0402o.jpg

SO PERFECT.

Then we FINALLY left the Magic Kingdom. An AKL bus pulled right up when we got to the bus stop, so we headed back to the room. We watched the news because there was a certain hurricane by the name of Irene coming and we wanted to keep an eye on her. Afterward, Scott went down to the pool and us girls watched Stacey and hjeaded down to Zawadi Marketplace to see King Pin.

King Pin is like the pin board at AKL, except for the fact that he's a guy. He is out every afternoon at around 3. Sarah and I got in line and he was very friendly. We both traded two pins, thanked him, and then met Mom and Scott at the bus stop.

We got to Hollywood Studios a little before 4, and Scott went off right away to grab Fastpasses for Tower of Terror for later. Sarah, Mom and I went to the Hat store to browse/pin trade.

dscn0404m.jpg

These ears reminded me of Nat:
dsc06562m.jpg

Sarah found these and loved them! Mike ended up buying them for her birthday gift when we were there in May.
dscn0406h.jpg

Sarah traded for two pins- a Heffalump and Aurora on a carousel.
dsc06564y.jpg

We met up with Scott and decided to pass the time until our ADR at One Man's Dream.

dsc06566.jpg

We walked through all the exhibits and watched that tear-jerking movie. Then we left, feeling refreshed and ready to RUN to our dinner ADR...we were late!

Chapter 47- "Shut Up, Irene!"

August 25th, 2011

We ran across the park and finally arrived here for our Fantasmic Package dinner ADR:
dsc06578t.jpg

dsc06579t.jpg

I was told that it would be about 20-30 minutes still, so Mom, Scott and Sarah went to walk around Streets of America while I stayed there.

They came back after a while and we were seated at about 5:30. Our waitress' name was Barbara, and she was from a town about 25 minutes away from us! She actually knew family friends of ours! What a small world.

She took our drink orders and I admired all the awesome decor. I loved the lights and all of the cool wall decorations, especially this:
dsc06589n.jpg

Just some pasta drying, it's fine.

We all got appetizers with our meals because of the Fantasmic Package, so Mom got a Caesar salad, and Scott and Sarah got house salads:
dsc06592eh.jpg

dsc06593l.jpg

They were both very fresh and delicious!

I ordered the tomatoes and mozzarella for my app, and it was wonderful! I order this every time I go there, and it never disappoints. The flavors are fresh and awesome, and nothing is overpowering.
dsc06594oc.jpg

dsc06596x.jpg

Mom and Scott both ordered the Campanella pasta- Mom's with shrimp, Scott's with chicken. They loved it! I think we were all craving pasta on this day.
dsc06597v.jpg

I ordered the Penne alla Vodka, and it was great! Such a HUGE portion, but delicious and al dente all the same.
dsc06603h.jpg

Sarah's entree was the real winner in my book, though. She ordered the Margherita flatbread, which was WAY bigger than any of us expected. I'm a sucker for a good Margherita pizza, and this one was perfect! I was so happy she let me help her eat it!
dsc06601gs.jpg

dsc06604l.jpg

Scott and Sarah both had Gelato for their dessert, which Sarah thought was WAY better than ice cream.
dsc06606s.jpg

Mom had the Amaretto Cheesecake, which was super flavorful and just the right size.
dsc06607t.jpg

I had the Warm Chocolate Truffle Cake, with Raspberry Sauce and Hazelnut Filling.
dsc06613p.jpg

This was the best! I love Nutella, so the chocolate and hazelnut were like a party in my mouth, and the raspberry sauce just made it a million times better. I loved it!

After thoroughly stuffing ourselves, we thanked Barbara and she told us where to go for Fantasmic. We left the restaurant and made our way!

dsc06618px.jpg

dsc06624i.jpg

The sun was setting on Sunset Boulevard and it was all rather perfect.

dsc06636qf.jpg

dsc06642da.jpg

dsc06643v.jpg

dsc06644c.jpg

Ahhh <3

dscn0420p.jpg

dscn0421ud.jpg

We headed straight for the exit of Beauty and the Beast and meandered through what seemed like MILES AND MILES of walkways to get to the Fantasmic seating. Finally, we arrived, and I traded for a Flynn pin with a GORGEOUS cast member named Felipe. He said happy birthday to me in the sexiest accent ever and I totally swooned.

Anyway...

We found some seats in the third row which were quite perfect and waited.

dsc06651b.jpg

As the sun set completely, it rained on and off, and we were worried that the show would be cancelled. This is where my chapter title comes into play. If you are a Full House fan then you'll get the reference, but I was talking to the hurricane.

They ended up only delaying the show a little, but we got to watch it in all of its splendor.

dscn0427qe.jpg

After the show, we partied our way out of the theater and went to use our Tower of Terror Fastpasses! That ride is so much fun at night!

dsc06763l.jpg

Afterwards, we met up with Mom and browsed a few shops on our way out of the park. We got back to the room and went to sleep. Tomorrow was another day!
