"I Don't Wanna Meet Mickey In a Frumpin' Poncho!" An August 2011 TR! COMPLETE 11/30

Okay, is there a general requirement that all deluxe resort lobbies must have a signature scent? Does the Boardwalk smell good too?! Goodness!

Your AKL pictures are so beautiful! That place is just epic, basically. I've never even seen it in person (unfortunately) but I want to stay there SO badly!

Boma Coma!!! :lmao: The food looks so good!

I've never been to Boma, but that food looks so delicious! Definitely need to try it.

Oh my gosh, I just want to hug my computer looking at all this AKL awesomeness! I miss it there so much! Though I never got to check out Jambo House, Kidani was amazing and I can't neglect the family resemblance there  Great picture of Sarah in her Sorcerer Mickey hat, now whenever I see that picture I'm singing the song in my head too. Dunnnn dunana dun dun DAAAA dunaananana... :teeth:

That's so cool you can go up in those little towers! Totally got to make note of that if I ever end up staying at my favorite place to stay at my favorite place in the world again :goodvibes Miss those firepits! Is that in the middle of the Savannah like at Kidani right? Great pictures of the animals from the Sunroom, gotta make note of that as well. I seriously could write a novel with these notes right now haha

Isn't it great!? I LOVE that place so very much. Haha me too!

It's actually closer to the lobby building at Jambo. I love the one at Kidani though. There's just so much to see!

Mmmm... Boma looks so good (specially that Mac n' Cheese)! I can't believe we missed out on making ADRs there, especially if it's anything as good as Sanaa! So nice that you got those birthday cards with all the Boma CMs having signed it. I legit have not seen that before at Disney even across all these TRs I've read. So lucky, you and Sarah!

Can't wait to see those desserts (YUM!) :mickeyjum

Boma was FABULOUS. I love it sooo much. You definitely need to check it out next time! Those cards were awesome! We loved them.

That's coming up next!

Oh my gosh - AKL looks so gorgeous! Right up my alley. And the giraffe? So adorable!! Great installment!

It IS! That giraffe was too cute. Thanks!

What is this perfect little sunroom place? I have never seen or heard of it! What an amazing hidden gem!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

It's awesome! Off
the lobby to your left!

A giraffe!!! And some other assorted fuzzy critters - HOW AWESOME!!! I love the viewing platforms and patios to observe the wildlife. :) Truly an amazing resort. You are the first for me to officially announce that Em and I have booked a girl trip for early next year and are staying at AKL for 1 nite so we can experience Jiko, Boma and all the wonderfulness of AKL!!! (Of course I have to also stay at BW since it is my new favorite!)

Speaking of Boma, your dinner there looks really yummy - all of it! So nice for them to present you with a personalized birthday card! Disney just shines sometimes!

Me too! It's an excellent place to stay. Oh yay I feel so privileged! :goodvibes The Boardwalk and AKL- two of the very best! Enjoy Boma and Jiko!popcorn::

Oh yum. You took me right back...Boma was a first for me in July and I just fell in love with the whole resort. MUST GO BACK!

Oh I'm so glad. :goodvibes Yes you must!!

Great update as usual Kristin! I can not wait to stay at AKL!! Your pictures are gorgeous. SO, what exactly does the lobby smell like?? -Amanda

Thank you! I can't wait to go back there! Thanks! The lobby smells just heavenly. It's hard to describe, but for me it smells like home. :goodvibes

Yes the Boardwalk lobby smells AMAZING! I love it. All of the deluxe resort lobbies smells fabulous! The Polynesian...oh don't even get me started!

Thanks! It's truly amazing. Hopefully one day you will!!

It's a thing, trust me. I'm probably still recovering. Everything was fantastic!

I've never been to Boma, but that food looks so delicious! Definitely need to try it.

Oh definitely! So worth the trip!

Chapter 34- May the Frump Be With You!

August 22nd, 2011

With our lovely birthday cards, Sarah and I were also brought a special dessert plate each.

dsc05480k.jpg

This was awesome! From right to left, that's a guava fruit jelly, spice cake, macaroon and a white chocolate coffee truffle!

These little samples were all SO good, especially the truffle. Here's the inside of that bad boy:
dsc05492ni.jpg

YUM.

But of course these desserts were not enough, so off to the buffet we go! It was ZEBRA DOME TIME.

dsc05467f.jpg

dsc05468m.jpg

dsc05471w.jpg

dsc05472i.jpg

As you can see, we all had pretty similar dessert plates. Scott liked the bread pudding with vanilla sauce best, and Mom's favorites were the peanut butter cheesecake tarts. Sarah is literally obsessed with the coffee tarts, though. I think she had nine of them. Or some ridiculous number like that. She is very in love.

My favorite was this guy:
dsc05474o.jpg

Can't go wrong with a zebra dome! Tied for first place, though, were the passion fruit tarts. I loved those! They were very refreshing and not too filling. YUM!

dscn0186s.jpg

We were all happy campers.

After we were finished eating, Mom, Scott and Sarah decided to hang out at AKL a little longer. Later in the evening, I would get a text from Mom that said that she had booked a Disney Vacation Club tour for later in the trip, AND that we would be leaving Coronado Springs on the 24th (the day Jess and Nat left) to check into Jambo House for the rest of the trip!

WOOO! I was totally thrilled. Not only were the 'rents seriously considering DVC, but I would get to go home to AKL in just a couple days! YAY!

Now, you must be wondering, if they were hanging out at AKL, what was I doing? Well, after dinner I headed over to DHS to meet up with Jess and Nat for Extra Magic Hours!

I got to the park while Jess and Nat were using their Toy Story Mania FP's from earlier, so I headed up Hollywood Boulevard to find Mulch, Sweat, and Shears playing by the Hat! I LOVE those guys. They're seriously awesome. I listened to them and pin traded under the Hat, and then met up with Jess and Nat after a little bit.

We decided to go to One Man's Dream, where Nat burst into tears during the movie. We just love Walt.
dsc0826z.jpg

After that, we decided to go on Star Tours! Jess and Nat hadn't been on the newly refurbed one yet, and although they're not Star Wars fans, you can't deny that it's awesome!

dsc0833mw.jpg

We hopped in line behind this really awkward couple, so of course we had to pull a Joni and "do the Creep" on them!

dsc0834hv.jpg

Star Wars: The Deuces Continue...
dsc0837o.jpg

I honestly have no idea what we're looking at...
dsc0838c.jpg

The ride was so awesome, and the best part was that JESS WAS THE REBEL SPY. I was cracking up the entire time. It was so Frumpy.

Get it girl!
dsc0840h.jpg

When we were leaving the ride, there was this really hilarious CM in the dump shop who was pretending to be a statue. This little kid kept poking him and finally he turned around and scared him.

Star Wars: the Laughter Continues, more like.

All that laughing made us hungry, and even though I was still in Boma Coma, I couldn't resist a nice carrot cake cookie!

dsc0841z2.jpg

We left the Writer's Stop, and it was photo shoot time!

dsc0845nn.jpg

Matching shirts!

Hooray for Hollywood!

dsc0847nk.jpg

Frumps:

dsc0849pn.jpg

Nat:
dsc0851xc.jpg

Jess:
dsc0853qm.jpg

Me!
dsc0852u.jpg

(Sorry I look really gross.)

Then we went to the little gift shoppe on the corner and called Vick and Dan! They were coming to DHS too and we wanted to meet up!

Chapter 35- "Reunited and it Feels So Good..."

August 22nd, 2011

While we were browsing, Nat met up with her future husband.

dsc0859mt.jpg

Sorry Bo Peep...

By this next picture, I'm going to use my deduction skills to conclude that Nat had a Mickey bar:
dsc0860kc.jpg

At one point during the night (and I have no idea when) we went on the Wild Bathroom-Hunt Trek and somehow ended up on the Streets of America. I saw this and could not resist taking a pic, being the Jersey Shore fan that I am:
dsc0862i.jpg

I actually just like to watch them all being really dumb and making stupid decisions. It makes me feel smart. :teacher:

We met up with Vick and Dan by the Animation Building, and surprised Vick as she was coming out of the bathroom. It was real Frumpy.

We were going to do the drawing class, but the line was really long, so we decided to do Star Tours again!

This time, Vick was the Rebel Spy! TWINS!
dsc0863ig.jpg

On the way out of the dump shop, I traded for this deer pin:
dsc08642q.jpg

It was a big moment.

Next we decided to head to Sunset Boulevard!

dsc0866gw.jpg

We got in line for Tower of Terror and waited about 15 minutes. WOO!

dsc0867im.jpg

I'm seriously in love with that ride. Everything about it is perfect.

Next, we headed to Rock n' Roller Coaster!

dsc0870c.jpg

Unfortunately, the CM's there wouldn't accept Vick and Dan's room keys for EMH. They were staying at one of the Downtown Disney hotels on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, and every other CM was accepting them that night, except for the RNRC ones. Since Jess and I go to Disney more often than they do, and I would be there for a week after that day, we gave our room keys to Vick and Dan, and they got in line with Nat.

Meanwhile, Jess and I went to sit by Catalina Eddie's and all the little CS places so we could catch up on our trip journals. At one point, she gave me money to go up and buy a water bottle from Rosie's. The CM there saw my birthday button, and gave us a little chocolate cake for free! I was super excited!

dsc0872kn.jpg

Jess and I enjoyed our birthday cake, and after a little while, the rest of the crew was back.

We all decided to round out the night with some TOY STORY MANIA!

When we got there, the CM pretended to close the line because EMH were almost over. He ended up letting us in, though. Whew.

Group shot! You get in too, Potato Head!
dsc0885rg.jpg

At this point, I was getting really overtired. I was being very frumpy, and Dan and I got into this discussion about how the Periwinkle crayon in the TSM queue is the best one. But, ya know, I also like the orange one...
dsc0886p.jpg

Dan's such a Frump:
dsc0888f.jpg

Girls!
dsc0902fo.jpg

I love how this sign looks like it's paper stapled to the wall. It's all in the details...
dsc0903ei.jpg

Jess beat us all, of course, but I came in second! Woo!

YAY for Toy Story Mania!
dsc0908uy.jpg

On the way out of the park, we took a couple of really precious pictures:
dsc0911ap.jpg

dsc0914th.jpg

We said goodbye to Vick and Dan and headed back to CSR, where we CRASHED. We had rope drop in the mornin'!

Chapter 36- "I Need An Extra, Extra, Extra Large Coffee."

August 23rd, 2011

We woke up at about 6:45 this morning, got ready, and met the fam at the bus stop. It was a nice, heavily air conditioned ride to the Magic Kingdom, and Nat was REAL sleepy this morning. She was in need of an "extra, extra, extra large coffee," and soon!

We got to the Magic Kingdom just in time for rope drop!

dsc05516h.jpg

dscn0196w.jpg

Sing along everybody!

dsc05534xw.jpg

YAY!

dsc05574s.jpg

Hello Heaven!

dsc05542t.jpg

dsc05545o.jpg

We headed straight for Fantasyland!

dsc05550xt.jpg

It was totally empty!

dsc05552u.jpg

I love Fantasyland in the morning, before the stroller insanity and heat of the afternoon.

We got Fastpasses for Peter Pan's Flight, which came with SURPRISE FASTPASSES for Mickey's Philharmagic! SCORE!

Next, we decided to ride the carousel, because we're all essentially five years old.

dsc0923fv.jpg

dscn0201bz.jpg

dscn0203xv.jpg

The view from my steed:
dsc05554t.jpg

Doesn't get much better than that!

Afterward, we went in Castle Couture for whatever reason, and the most precious cast member ever pixie dusted us!

dsc0929la.jpg

Told ya I was five.

We headed back to Main Street with intentions of getting breakfast.

dsc0931g.jpg

However, we got a little distracted by the Trolley Show.

dscn0207n.jpg

dsc0934h.jpg

Hey every girl in this show: I WANT YOUR JOB.

dsc05566u.jpg

dsc05571yq.jpg

That show is seriously one of my favorite things about MK. And I love that their costumes change with the seasons. I can't wait to see their outfits in December!

Family photo time!

dsc0918i.jpg

dsc0917c.jpg

We're super precious.

Nat was about to pass out, so we headed to the Main Street Bakery for some sustenance!

Jess, Scott and Sue all had yogurt parfaits, which they loved!

dsc0936az.jpg

Sarah had a chocolate croissant:
dsc0937y.jpg

I had an apple turnover:
dsc0939p.jpg

YUM. This was so perfect. It totally hit the spot.

And Nat FINALLY got her coffee!

dsc0938yj.jpg

Hooray. We chowed down and then decided to meet some characters before it got too hot out.

Yum, your Boma dessert plates looked great. I was so excited to try the Zebra Domes, but I gotta say...I wasn't a fan :sad1: But I did love those little orange/mango dome thingys. I called them the wiggly mango dome of heaven :)

I have to agree with you...I skipped Star Tours in Feb because none of us are big fans, but we hit it this July and it was AWESOME! Just loved that ride.

And I love the new deer pin!

Boma Coma. :rotfl: Found that really funny. Frump life.

That night with Vick and Dan was SO FUN. Oh my goodness. I miss it. :sad1: The girls picture in the TSM queue just displays how happy (and tired) we are.

LOL I feel like this trip was so long ago now... but it's so fun to relive it! :goodvibes

Chapter 37-Characters Galore!

August 23rd, 2011

We headed to Adventureland, where Scott and Sue went to the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. The rest of us jumped in line to meet Tink!

First we met Terrence!

dsc0947ap.jpg

He was very friendly and I liked his outfit a lot. Next up was TINK!

dscn0210ln.jpg

dsc0948f.jpg

She was super cute and I loved our pose. So precious!

Next we headed over to the Agrabah Bazaar to meet Aladdin and Jasmine! They were riding their carpets and would be over in a minute.

dscn0212xm.jpg

There was a little drama here. Some lady cut us in line, so we went in front of her and she started yelling at us and being so mean! She was a real you-know-what and I could have smacked her. I was so angry that she would make such a huge scene and yell at us for "cutting her" when she had just done the very same thing. It was so rude.

But we let bygones be bygones and allowed the lady and her daughter to go first instead of fighting about it.

After they were gone, it was our turn!

dsc0951j.jpg

They were both so cute! They were trying to figure out who was related and who wasn't. They thought that Jess, Nat and I were sisters, and were a little confused when we told them that Sarah and I actually were, since we look nothing alike! Aladdin was also a little flirty with Jess, and he asked her to take his arm. I think she almost passed out.

dsc0953r.jpg

dscn0216i.jpg

We said goodbye and left Adventureland for Liberty Square! It was time to meet Tiana!

Her gazebo is so well themed, and I just loved the little Bayou elements they added to her meet and greet.

dsc0954cp.jpg

We were really excited!

dsc0955s.jpg

dsc0956ix.jpg

We said hello to Tiana, and she asked where we were from. We told her, and she asked us about one of the food festivals that we have in our area each summer. We were so excited that she knew about it! She really does know all about food!

dsc0958t.jpg

We loved meeting Tiana, but we had to say au revior! There were more characters to meet!

We headed to back to Adventureland to meet Ariel and Eric, who were at the verandah!

dsc0962jc.jpg

I think I just about died of happiness at this point. Ariel is my favorite princess, and I am hopelessly in love with Prince Eric. This was a big moment. They were so friendly and loved our nails!

LIFE. COMPLETE.

While we were galavanting around meeting characters, Mom and Scott went over to Tom Sawyer's Island. Here are some pics from their trip over:
dscn0217u.jpg

dscn0220w.jpg

Mom loved exploring over there!

dscn0208wn.jpg

We were going to meet up with the 'rents at the Tiki Room, but it wasn't working, so we headed to Pirates to meet up with them!

We love the Cast Member costumes at Pirates!

dsc0977ai.jpg

We all rode Pirates, and on the way out, we saw Pirate Goofy! We decided to say hello.

dsc0974hw.jpg

Clearly I was amused. I love Goofy! Definitely my favorite Fab Five character.

dsc0976e.jpg

We said so long to Goof and headed over to the best ride of all-time, The Haunted Mansion!

We said hello to the wall-to-wall creeps and then decided that we were HUNGRY. Columbia Harbour House it is!

dsc05586l.jpg

I don't have pictures of everyone's food, but I do have pics of mine!

I had the fried shrimp with cole slaw, and an apple crisp!

dsc05603v.jpg

dsc05600bj.jpg

dsc05590yd.jpg

(Sorry they're a little rough.)

We sat upstairs and ate, and everyone really enjoyed their lunch! We spent the majority of the time trying to convince Mom to go on Splash Mountain, but it was a no-go. So, the rest of us headed over there after lunch and she went in search of a less thrilling experience.

Jess and I rode in the front on Splash, and when we reached the showboat scene, we discovered that the birds were ALL DEAD.

dsc0984hz.jpg

dsc0985q.jpg

It was rather unfortunate.

It's a ton of fun! I love it!!

I miss it too. :( I am just now appreciating how awesome it is that we were all there together.

It was...I just take forever to finish trip reports. :P

Chapter 38- "I'm Just Gonna Ask Where the Bathroom Is..."

August 23rd, 2011

While the rest of us rode Splash, Mom caught the Main Street Philharmonic in Liberty Square.

dscn0224ra.jpg

Then, she headed to Main Street and caught the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It Street Party!

dscn0226x.jpg

dscn0227n.jpg

dscn0228h.jpg

I love that this parade stars characters you don't normally see!

dscn0230x.jpg

dscn0231w.jpg

dscn0232o.jpg

We met up with Mom in Fantasyland where we used our FP's for Peter Pan's Flight and Mickey's Philharmagic!

We decided to head out of the park after that, but not before catching the Dapper Dans!

dscn0233ji.jpg

The one in green was so interactive and precious, but you could tell he was REALLY hot.

On the bus ride back to CSR, Nat fell asleep. Time to do the Creep!

dsc01050wq.jpg

I look rough:
dsc01053j.jpg

We got back and we all crashed until about 4. The fam and I got ready and headed to EPCOT!

It started to rain so we booked it to World Showcase.

dsc05640ox.jpg

We walked to Norway, and I told Sarah I was asking where there was a nearby bathroom (as if I would ever need to ask that question...PUH-lease) while I was actually checking us in for her surprise dinner at Akershus!

She was SO excited! She couldn't wait to meet more princesses!

We walked in and met Belle in her yellow dress within a few minutes. She was a perfect Belle and she was really sweet. Here's a pic of our FREE souvenir pic!

dsc05618a.jpg

We were seated in the main dining room. I had never sat in here before. It's so beautiful!

dsc05610f.jpg

Our waiter was Tom from Farsund. Here he is now!

dscn0244o.jpg

He was so nice and attentive! He brought us Voss and strawberry smoothies to drink:
dsc05621n.jpg

dsc05622pf.jpg

We headed up to the cold appetizer buffet, from which we enjoyed shrimp, salad, smoked salmon and some Norwegian cheeses.

dsc05608i.jpg

dsc05609b.jpg

Mom ordered the Grilled Pork Chop with apple-raisin chutney and demi-glace. This was delicious and the chutney was the perfect compliment.

dsc05626yn.jpg

Sarah ordered the Sauteed Chicken Breast with Vegetable Farro Risotto and Herb Chicken Jus. I helped her finish this. It was incredible!

dsc05623f.jpg

Scott ordered the Traditional Kjottkake, which is ground beef and pork dumplings served with mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and lingonberry sauce.

dsc05625jv.jpg

Tom recommended this dish to him, and it did not disappoint! The flavors were savory and wonderful.

Lastly, I ordered the Seared Herb-dusted Beef Tips, served with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

dsc05624bq.jpg

This was perfect! The meat was so tender, and I'm a sucker for some good mashed potatoes.

We were all very impressed with our entrees, and while we ate, the princesses came around to see us. Stay tuned for them!

Holy Updates!! Thanks for giving me some reading material during my lunch break!

Can't wait to hear about your stay at AKL. I so bad want to try the zebra domes!

Chapter 39- Princesses, Woodland Animals & FIST PUMP DUFFY!

August 23rd, 2011

Aurora was the first princess to stop by, and when she asked our names, she got really excited because Sarah is Hebrew for "Princess." She was so cute!

dscn0235a.jpg

Next up was Cinderella. She is Mom's favorite princess so she had to get in the picture!

dscn0237p.jpg

dscn0236es.jpg

Snow White came by next, and she loved our dresses. She was so sweet!

dscn0239g.jpg

Ariel was the last to come by, and I was excited to see her for the second time that day! She asked where we were from, and then what we do when it is cold where we live. We told her about sledding and ice skating and she said that it sounded like fun!

dscn0240k.jpg

Pretty soon we were ready for dessert, so Tom brought Sarah and I a cupcake for our birthday!

dsc05627y.jpg

dscn0242b.jpg

He also brought a dessert platter for the whole table! It consisted of Sweet and Savory Chocolate Mousse, Traditional Rice Cream with strawberry sauce, and Flaky Puff Pastry with mascarpone mousse and fresh berries.

dsc05628n.jpg

dsc05631ya.jpg

dsc05630.jpg

Everything was fantastic! The mousse was rich and the texture of the rice cream was perfect. The puff pastry's flavors were amahhhzing!

After dinner, we met up with Jess and Nat outside. They told me about their dinner at Via Napoli and that the waiter had written his phone number on the receipt. LOL.

We decided to head to Mexico. Look at the sunset over World Showcase lagoon!

dsc05634jo.jpg

Disney girls!

dscn0246mz.jpg

Gran Fiesta Tour time!

dsc05656jr.jpg

dsc05657q.jpg

dsc05663e.jpg

dsc05669y.jpg

After that, we explored the pavilion a little bit and then headed to China!

We went to the puppet stand in China and said hello to the frumpy little guys.

dsc00312kv.jpg

And that's when it happened. That's when I met Norman the Deer.

I saw him from afar, and went over to say hello. I decided that his name should be Norman, and then I decided that the sound deer make is "RE! RE! RE!"

I know, I know. I'm a genius. Please, I'm blushing.

SAY HELLO TO NORMAN!

dsc1021pm.jpg

We look like triplets!

We went into the House of Good Fortune, where Sarah got her Duffy stamped. Jess, Nat and I decided that we wanted our own Duffys, so we sat down to color.

dsc1024of.jpg

Mom and Scott took Sarah around World Showcase to get her Duffy stamped, while we stayed back to finish ours.

We got them stamped and headed outside to get a spot for Illuminations. We ended up standing right by the Joy of Tea kiosk. Here's the finished product!

dsc1034bw.jpg

It was party time with Duffy!

dsc1037q.jpg

RE! RE! RE!

dsc1039z.jpg

The Duffys were feelin' the Illuminations Pre-show music...FIST PUMP DUFFY TIME!

dsc1043x.jpg

We watched Illuminations and then met up with the 'rents and Sarah for a post-Illuminations nosh of SCHOOL BREAD!

We headed to Kringla, and I was very excited. I got a school bread for myself, and Jess and Nat got one to share. I believe Scott also had one, and Sarah and Mom shared a Berry Cream Puff.

Just look at this magicalness:
dsc1051k.jpg

AHHH so good. Literally the best thing I think I will ever eat. I'm obsessed. It's fine.

Chapter 40- The Norwegian Nosh

August 23rd, 2011

So you thought we would just eat and be on our way? Oh no.

This was an experience.

Mainly because Jess wanted to document every moment of my eating nirvana.

dsc1052s.jpg

NOM.

dsc1053dn.jpg

Looks like I stole the cream puff...
dsc1055g.jpg

Oops.

I was really overtired, which must have been entertaining for everybody else.

dsc00323dtb.jpg

dsc00321ww.jpg

To view all the shenanigans, click HERE.

Next, we decided to take a ride on the MAELSTROM.

AKA the best ride EVER.

I love it. There is nothing about this ride that we don't like...except for the movie at the end...
dsc1056a.jpg

We were just IN AWE:
dsc1057ew.jpg

THOR!

dsc1058nf.jpg

We all decided to hit up some attractions in Future World!

dsc05719bo.jpg

dsc05723t.jpg

dsc05762j.jpg

Future World at night is seriously the best.

dsc1067t.jpg

dscn0261yg.jpg

Look! It's Duffy in the FUTUREEEE!

dsc1066j.jpg

We decided to ride SSE while we were there, and Mom and I rode together. We are sleeeeeping in the future.

dsc05700vd.jpg

dsc05708y.jpg

I think my eyes were open a little but because there is actually NO SLEEPING IN DISNEY, so it kind of looks like I'm just really sad about the healthy food in front of me, which is pretty accurate.

After our ride vehicle rotated backwards for our return to earth, Jess went to Guest RElations to print hers and Nat's boarding passes for the next day. ): Here we are waiting for her:
dscn0263fq.jpg

When she got back, she, Sarah and Scott went to do Mission: SPACE. Mom, Nat and I were in more of a leisurely-attraction mood, so we headed in the opposite direction.

dsc05746hx.jpg

We paid a lovely visit to Figment and then played in ImageWorks for a while.

dsc05745i.jpg

The Imagination Pavilion is so beautiful at night!

dsc05751h.jpg

I love the jumping fountains and backwards waterfall!

dscn0266r.jpg

We met up with the rest of the crew and frumped it out of EPCOT. Everyone was pretty tired.

When we got back to the room, we all soaked our feet in the tub. Jess' were hurting her pretty badly that day, and I'm pretty sure Nat's were hurting too. Mine weren't, but it still felt pretty good!

Can you tell which feet belong to which Frump?

After that, we all got ready for bed and went to sleep. We would be saying goodbye in the morning, but I had the move to AKL to look forward to!

Holy Updates!! Thanks for giving me some reading material during my lunch break!

Can't wait to hear about your stay at AKL. I so bad want to try the zebra domes!

Yeah there's a ton! I finally had a free moment to write, and I really want to finish this TR and Jess' and my May one before my trip in December!

I can't wait to tell you all about it! They are SO GOOD!

Whoa baby! Love the updates! Let's see, boma coma, surprise princess meal, general shenanigans! Love it all!

We said goodbye and left Adventureland for Liberty Square! It was time to meet Tiana!

Her gazebo is so well themed, and I just loved the little Bayou elements they added to her meet and greet.

We were really excited!

We said hello to Tiana, and she asked where we were from. We told her, and she asked us about one of the food festivals that we have in our area each summer. We were so excited that she knew about it! She really does know all about food!

We loved meeting Tiana, but we had to say au revior! There were more characters to meet!

We headed to back to Adventureland to meet Ariel and Eric, who were at the verandah!

I think I just about died of happiness at this point. Ariel is my favorite princess, and I am hopelessly in love with Prince Eric. This was a big moment. They were so friendly and loved our nails!

LIFE. COMPLETE.

You know, Tiana and Ariel are on my list of "favorite princess gowns". The others--Cinderella and Belle. Those gowns are just so beautiful! Oh, and Kristen, along with the announcement of "Limited Time Magic" (the 2013 Disney promotion), they also gave us a first look at Cindy's new look in the parks, which was just recently unveiled:

Anyways, enough about me going all fangirl here (even though I'm a man). Can't wait for the next frump-date!

P.S. Notice I just busted

Loving all these updates girl!!! I can't even think of things to say, but you're movin' right along! :upsidedow Get it.

Did you just do SEVEN updates?? I'm glad to see that you had some free time on your hands - loved the updates!! :p

I was so glad to see an Akershus review for something other than breakfast. Although if you had to share the plate of desserts I'd be asking for more.... I don't share pastries well! And that rice cream with strawberry sauce, I have to try that some time.

So much fun and frumping for one day it's no wonder your tootsies were tired!!! (well, not yours but Jess and Nats!) :)
