The mentality of teenages and Adults alike, of today:confused3
Last friday a lorry driver was killed because three youth had been throwing objects of a bridge, at 4.15am, some might have heard about this on the news or the national papers.
it was mention in our local paper yesterday again because police are still investigating.
The youths involed were aged 14,15 &16.
At that age what are they still doing out at that time of the morning & did the parents not know that they had not come home from the night before.
I don't understand this and what if any enjoyment did they get from this.
My own son had a stone thrown from a bridge last year while in his lorry, which hit his winscreen, which left him shakey & has made him very wary when seeing someone of any age.
This could have been my DH or DS as they go under this bridge in question very often & at that time in the morning:eek:
It's a very sad world we live in now :sad2:

I know what you mean, I was driving back from the midlands a few months ago and saw kids throwing things off a bridge, about 7pm at night, I phoned the police as soon as I could to tell them about it:sad2:

some parents just don't care where there kids are and what they are doing - they could be good kids if they had decent parents:sad1:

It's amazing! I can't understand it either :confused3

I had a firework thrown at my car from a bridge near Manchester last November, feel very wary now when driving under any bridge when there are people crossing.

Many youths these days have no respect for elders or authority, Julie works at a school and the tales she tells of some of the behaviour is frankly almost unbelievable.

I can believe it Johnny. I only finished school a few years ago and I was orrified by what the others could do and, more importantly, get away with. I would never have dared say anything to a teacher yet I regularly saw them being sworn at and there was nothing they could do.

No one seems to have respect for one another these days, and that's aimed at all ages not just teenagers. It's such a shame.

A friend of mine and my bf's got beaten to death for his bike last month, and I bet because the lads were all minors they'll get the softly softly approach. It just makes my blood boil  I see the beginnings of all this at work sometimes, some of the parents just don't back up the nursery nurses/teachers with disciplining their children at all :sad2:

I think this is a parent problem definately - too many parents instill in their kids that Mr so-and-so can't tell you off etc because he's 'not your parent' therefore these kids believe they can get away with everything because they can't be disciplined
