Okay - I definately want to experience the Vista Spa but I don't want to pay for a treatment. Can someone please explain to me the rainforest room and the showers? How does it work? How much does it cost? Pretty much explain it to me like I am five years old

Hi Amanda!
The Rainforest Room is a great way to experience the Vista Spa and still have money for other aspects of the cruise!
You can either buy single day passes or multi-day passes up to the length of the cruise. I believe unlimited access for the whole cruise runs about $50 or so.
Upon entering the spa you can just tell one of the counter attendents that you would like to use the Rainforest Room. They'll charge your Key to the World Card and provide you with a small basket with locker key and robe. You can change in the locker room and then walk to the Rainforest Room right around the corner.
Once inside you'll see a large central room with a fountain in the middle and heated tile loungers. Off of this center room are the "scented spa rooms." Three to be exact with various levels of steam and/or dry heat and scents. Try 'em all and you'll soon find your favorite. There are also two scented showers off of the main room where you can cool down and a water fountain. Towels are located inside the room as well.
How you spend your time inside the Rainforest room is up to you. Most people go in and out of the various steam rooms and then cool down in-between on the tile loungers. It's generally very quiet and relaxing with the sounds from the fountain and very quiet music piped in.
From what I recall, the various rooms are as follows:
Dry Heat room: Very little steam and no scent.
Peppermint Room: Medium heat and steam with peppermint.
Citrus Room: The most intense of the three. Lots of steam and lots of heat!
As mentioned, the Rainforest Room actually is a good value for the Vista Spa. It let's you experience the serenity of the place without spending a small fortune.
Hope you have a great cruise!
