I dont understand the Fantasmic Fast Pass /Dinner Package....

Ok so is the dinner package the only way to get a fastpass to Fantasmic? And if it is then when I go into the system to make a reservation for the restuarant of my choice it gives me options for lunch and dinner. I thought it was a DINNER package. What time should I choose? Im totally confused.....

The Fantasmic! Dinner Pkg. is not related to the Fantasmic! FP.
(Fantasmic! offers BOTH.)

The Fantasmic! Dinner Pkg. does involve paying for a meal, then getting a special Dining Pkg. pass, which allows guests with that pass to sit in the center section ("Mickey Section" of the F! theater.

What a FP+ for F! offers is more CHOICE in seating.

If you DO get a F! FP+, you can choose to sit in either the FP section (virtually the entire left half of the theater)

or the Standby section (virtually the entire right half of the theater.)

So, whatever section has the better seating at the time you arrive, you can go there.



Without a FP, you can only choose a seat in the Standby section.



There is a very good chance that you can get a FP+ for F! as a 4th or 5th FP of the day because they

issue SO MANY of them (enough to cover nearly the entire left half of the seating.)

On many nights, it is possible that you can gat a FP+ for F! as you are walking to the theater.



As to when to arrive at the theater, I'd get to there 45-60 minutes before the show-time.

Even with a FP or Dining Pkg. reservation, don't wait too late.

On busy nights, the CMs can stop holding the reserved sections within 20-30 minutes before show-time,

and turn over any available seats to waiting walk-in guests.

There is sometimes a "pre-show" (such as it is) that can help pass the last 30 minutes before show time.

No. You can do standby, fast pass, or dining package that comes with reserved searingly

If you just want a FP, then select it as one of your 3 or in the park as a 4th FP.

If you plan on already eating in the park at a restaurant, then do the dining package. You don't need the dining package to get a FP (reserved seating), so I only recommend doing the dining package if you already plan on eating inside the park.

It is possible to do a Fantasmic! dining package lunch, it does not have to be dinner.

I've done the dining package a couple of times. What I like about it is that the mickey section is dead center and there was a lot of room. When I was there, that section remained reserved for dining passes ... There was a CM stationed by it to check - so it never got too crowded. I don't know if that's standard procedure or just something they were doing at the time, but it was very pleasant.

As already stated, you can see F! by going standby, getting a regular FP+, or with the reserved seating provided by the F! Dining Package.

All 3 of the participating restaurants have the option of doing the package at lunch or dinner. Simply choose the one you prefer. We like to do lunch, since it gives us a nice, relaxing break after a long morning in the park.

This is only at the Hollywood and Vine buffet. There are no characters at Mama Melrose or Hollywood Brown Derby, which also offer the Fantasmic! dining package. Although, sometimes, if you're very lucky, one of the citizens of Hollywood might show up at HBD. But that was years and years ago.

The last meal is usually 4pm(If you can get it). Because it takes time to eat. They usually allow you in about 1 hour before.
