I Don't Mind The New Web Site

There's been a lot of negatives brought up about the new WDW web site. I kind of like it. I enjoy searching around and finding new things and figuring out how they work. I think over time this will become a very useful tool.

One thing though, I would love if there was music in the background. Two web sites ago if you clicked on The Wilderness Lodge Page music themed to that resort played in the background. I loved that!

I don't mind it either. Whenever something changes people will resist it but I really actually like the "My Disney Experience" portion of the site. It's let me plan out my days all from the website and I find that really super convenient. It's new so of course things will go wrong at first but they will find and fix the problems and I am sure everything with the site will be fine in no time.

I think most people's complaints are that the site does not work! I do like the concept, but functionally it's worse than the last version.

I love the look of the new website compaired to the old one. Yes there are still some bugs to work out but that is to be expected.
Give them some time to work all the bugs out and I think more people will begin to like it.

I don't think it looks bad, and that is one improvement over the previous version.

But I'll hold off any further judgment about it until I make a reservation and see how the site treats it. If it disappears like it has for others, or forces me to call them on the phone and wait an hour just to make a payment, I'll be :furious:

Reading some people's complaints about the website, I can't blame them one bit. The style doesn't necessarily need to be beta-tested, but the functionality sure should have been.

I have still only seen the new site for about 10 minutes about a week ago and then it reverted back to the old site again. Which wouldn't be so bad, but that version hasn't worked properly for over a month now. I still can't see my dining reservations.

The look and feel is great.

The whole not being able to access any of your reservations - and I mean I never got to ANY of mine, was ridiculous. I was VERY glad I had printed everything already.

I quite like the new website, once I was able to link my reservation I was static to discover it presents you with a itinerary and you can add parades, shows, parks where you'll be... I love it!

And the app is set up to give you reminders as well, so if your reservation time is arriving it will let you know (maybe vibrating? I'll find out in 25 days!)

I'm with you. Once "fully functional", I think it's a big improvement over the last version. And I like the linking of this with the app and eventually with a MagicBand.

I was a little cranky, though, when the system "couldn't find" my existing ADRs or my hotel reservation for a couple of weeks. :scared1: Then I decided to CHILL, knowing that it would all repopulate soon (I've been through more than one Disney website upgrade!). :goodvibes And everything is back now.

Would have been nice if the conversation had been more... seamless? But I think I am going to like the results a great deal. :)

The bugs should have been worked out during beta testing and not left for customers to slog through. The design is an improvement only if it actually works. My experience has been that all areas of the website are not fully functional as of yet, They should not have been so hell-bent on rolling it out for the new year.

i really like the new website especially the itinerary part. can't wait to see it more integrated with the android app in particular. i never had a problem with adding my reservations as well, they never dissapeared as others describe.

oh, and please do not put music on website, unless its an opt in with a play button. automatically playing music, especially on mexican restaurant websites is annoying.

THANK YOU! It's easy to say "well let them work the bugs out, and then give it a chance" when you're not the one up at 3AM pacific standard time during another vacation to make your ADRs... only to end up on hold for a combined 115 minutes when the website doesn't work.
