I don't know what this is but I need to post it.

Sorry it's very unorganized I'm just really frustrated and I actually could go on even more and be more random. Like how disney treats parties of two like crap and big parties like gold. I'll give you the party of to for instance. I did the holloween thing last year were after buying the mickey's not so scary halloween I also did the blue bayou meal. They snuck a table at the very back next to where the staff entered and exited and tried to sit my wife an I there. We obviously asked to move and they did but the last couple that came got stuck in the back away from the view of the main stage. THAN we made a reservation at carthay and they stuck us on the side of a main room with 4 big parties there. We celebrated an anniversary and it took my wife breaking down and crying while I went to the bathroom for them to make it right. THAN that night I go to trader sams and you know what the bartender said to me when I asked can I get a light up ice cube? You have 10 bucks? I said no. He said well this is disney... nothings free. So what's my point? I guess I have no point but .. I don't know... sorry.

As a party of 2 I had the best seats at Ariels Grotto during the early WOC. Small parties, like my party of 1 adult 1 child, get to sit right in front of the windows so we saw the show perfectly. It was awesome

Actually a little girl from a very large party that was seated behind us came and sat at our table in the middle of the show. She just decided she couldn't see behind me I guess so she walked over and pulled up a chair. Her parents didn't seem to notice for about 10 minutes. We had a nice chat and she had a bread roll and enjoyed sitting next to the window. It was hilarious.

Now I feel like the food at Ariels Grotto has gone seriously down hill over the last 7 years. The offerings are less, the servings are much smaller and the taste is not very good.

yeah, really struggling to feel some feels for you. rant rant rant, club 33 isn't good enough for you, something about vip guides on your multiple vip tours, and wife cries when you get a bad table at carthay. sorry, can't muster up some sympathy.

My Mother had a sign in here kitchen, it said
" Today You Have 2 Choices For Dinner, Take It, Or Leave It."

Ah, "The Table" at BB...
They tried to put us there. We turned it down...and then watched four other couples turn it down. Finally, a very bewildered-looking pair accepted it. We noticed they finished their dinner really quickly and left...looking even more bewildered.

I fully expect that that table will be removed during BB's next refurbishment. It really shouldn't be there. Mistakes were made.

OK, you have gone from ranting about how a VIP guide who is your friend no longer takes you to Club 33 (when members got limited on unaccompanied reservations, guides with member friends also got limited...) and not liking the food at the top restaurants, to complaining about table placements. The reason they have that awful table at Blue Bayou is because it seats 2 more people in a sold out restaurant. And I don't know why you say they treat parties of 2 worse than large parties. I've been in both shoes, and overall I am treated the same. In some ways when I am a small party, I get in faster/easier and can get special stuff easier since it is only 2 or 3. Crying over a table in Carthay?

As far as the glowing cube, they come in an expensive drink to offset the cost. Why should they give you the cube for free? It isn't free to them.

We really enjoyed Carthay when we were there last year. We'll be there again on Tuesday night. :) Was it the best meal of my life? No. But it was pretty darn good for a restaurant in the middle of a theme park, if you ask me. We're also trying Steak House 55 and the chef's counter at Napa Rose this trip, so we'll see how those are.

This was a very difficult post to read. Hard to understand.
General griping. Looks like it's time to give Disney a break and vacation someplace else. You are not going to get a lot of support complaining about Club 33, VIP tours and Carthay Circle.
This came off more of a brag than a gripe.

OP, I know what you mean. It reminds me of the time I was driving my Bugatti Chiron through west LA and was forced to stop at no less than three red lights. It made me two and a half minutes late for my reservation at Spago. It made me so angry. And on top of that, they ran out of the duck tartare so I had to settle for the abalone and white asparagus salad. First world problems are the worst.

Thanks for the constructive posts to my nonconstructive whatever this is.

I'm glad someone else saw my point at BB and I can only imagine how the couple I had talked about felt after paying $86 for the not so scary ticket than $300 for the Halloween special dinner plus park tickets. You couldn't really see the stage from there.

I thought ariels grotto went down in food quality too. I do feel they gave you more time with the princesses but the meal I had there was to be expected.

I feel like you are projecting. I don't see how my post is bragging unless you're jealous I've had the chance to do these things. If I had the opportunity I'd bring you along with me to all of it. You mention club 33 on these boards and everyone gets so huffy. The "you don't like it go someplace else" is unnecessary. I love the park and riding the rides. Why can't I complain a little about some of the stuff I've noticed. I'm not a blind worshiper in the house of disney. I recently did a trip and it was great the food was great like I stated and the chef's table was good to. Bringing up the 33 and the griping is for all the changes disney has done to try to curb the members making reservations and the handicap thing people are still doing the same thing. You can get the VIP treatment without paying the VIP prices if you didn't know and this has been going on forever. I don't do this or have an opinion on the people who do. It's just hating for hates sake and in the end people are always going to go around the system.

Also the ice cube thing the servers will do it not the bartenders. The bartenders will give you free shots so it's a trade off I guess. The point is why would a Disneyland server tell me it's Disneyland nothings free... I'm not going to report the guy because and the only reason I asked for the cube in the first place was because my cup I order was on display with a cube in it.

Let me explain the carthay circle thing better. So I missed my anniversary because I was deployed in afghanistan. My wife setup this whole Disney trip because we never really got a honeymoon. We always make reservations for our dinners but I'm usually the one who does it. This was our first time going without the kids. All of our reservations where made way in advance. She asked to reserve one of the tables and was specific about were she wanted to sit. When we got there they put us in a room that had 6 tables with full parties. We had a small 2 seater table up against the wall almost by the waiters station (the only 2 seating table in the room). We tried to make the best of it but the server was slammed and we were unfortunately neglected. This was the third time that trip that they tried to stick us someplace, blue bayou being one of them. I go to the bathroom I come back and she was crying. She just had a lot of hopes for the dinner. Now caviat to this is a manager noticed and came to the table to talk to her. He told us to come back the next day and they did make it right and special. That trip it just seemed because of the summer the cast members seemed over worked and a little grumpy at times. I fully sympathize with them and my wife and I's only complaint was okay once is fine but 3 times. I mean what's the point of asking are you celebrating anything special if you are just going to get a button. I don't feel owed and my wife and I's policy at disney is exactly that. Don't feel owed just expect them to make up if they make a mistake and don't drink at the park (unless you are going to the room after this).

The two person party I found this was a theme that trip of being shoved in a corner. I made reservations like I always do so I assumed this was pretty standard. I'm usually a family of 6 navigating the park and never had this dining issue. Sometimes we get pretty big and we are a party of 10 to 15 and that's easy you just get the back tables.

Well thanks again to all who responded I got some stuff out and I didn't really know where i was going with this but just having one person notice somethings I did I feel greatful. I'd like to pay you back with some cool little things I know about disneyland.

One: On tower of terror did you know you can count down when you fall. When the guy says his speal "One stormy night long ago, five people stepped through the door of an elevator and into a nightmare." after he says nigntmare count down to 10 and you'll fall.

Two: Indiana jones. Did you know there is a tinkerbell candle on that ride. It's were all the skulls and candles are google it. I'll edit the link in later.

"I don't see how my post is bragging unless you're jealous"

OP--I can assure you, I am not jealous. All these things you are griping about, I have done.
The common denominator on this thread is that folks don't understand what you are saying. You even admit you don't know what you're saying.
Good luck with your Disney vacations. You will find exactly what you are looking for and focus on.

DW and I received a front row table for the BB Halloween package, a 4 top that we did not share.
Sometimes it's just luck, but chance does favor the prepared (by following tips found on this board).
...paying $86 for the not so scary ticket than $300 for the Halloween special dinner plus park tickets...
The Halloween Party ticket should be included with the BB Dinner package, since the BB event takes up most of the evening. That's my compaint to add to this thread.
