I Don't Know, I Don't Speak Wind!!

LOVED your OKW pictures! We stayed there last January & I loved it. At first I was concerned about the size of the property but it was VERY easy getting around. It was only about a 5-10 min walk from the main bundling to where we were towards the back, and you could hop any bus at the stop & ride it to the main house too. And the rooms are HUGE. We had the 2 bedroom villa & it's bigger than my condo at home.

I am also a low salt person. It stems from being about 13-14 years old & after having a salty pretzel, I got sick. I was probably coming down with the flu anyway but ever since I can't eat pretzels with lots of salt.

One of my brothers got married this weekend, so we had some nice family time. Caroline was the flower girl & she was precious - I love that baby girl! :)

I've got 5 weeks til I'm in Orlando again - woo hoo!!! I'll be busy until then - we're designing a new website & I'm project manager - so it will be a welcome get-away. I also need to make ADR reservations for Mom & me. I think I've narrowed it down to California Grille, Brown Derby & Les Chefs de France. I also want to try Be Our Guest so I want to try & fit that in too.

I'm glad to read we're amassing a 2014 New Years group! I need to speak with my brother (we're partners at work) & see if he'll be around so we don't take time off at the same time. Barring that, I'm there!! I'm thinking I'd arrive around Dec 30 & stay that week until Jan 3rd - 4th.

Congratulations to your brother! I know Caroline was adorable. :cutie:
Glad you guys got to have some fun family time. :thumbsup2

Five weeks! :dance3: By the time you leave, I'll be down to five weeks, so I'll count down with you and then countdown once over again and it'll be time to go!

Christine is there now, and she said the crowds are dropping. People who can work it out to extend into the January week will probably be much better off than those of us who have to get back to school right away. ::yes::

The in-laws live in Seymour. My kids love the area and there is to do. They live on a private airport. The hubby and kids have gone on many airplane rides over the smokies. I can't because the planes are just to small. Can't get myself in one.

Maybe you told me that once - about Seymour, that is.

No way could I get into any crop duster, and to me, a crop duster is anything less than rows that are 2-3 or 3-3. Preferably 3-3. :)

We traveled from Wilderness Lodge by boat.

There weren't many other people with the same idea.

IMG_2347.jpg

That boat probably has a few more people on it.

IMG_2346.jpg

Pretty, pretty.

She looked, but we did not have her lanyard to trade.

We got a bus back to Pop Century.

For those who always in the midst of the Pop food court crowds, there are off times that work for you to be able to eat your food hot. :thumbsup2

Marc and Anita came to pick Brooklynn up. She was going to Magic Kingdom with them to take advantage of her last day on her annual pass.

I was just going to hang out at Pop. I thought about hitting another resort, but I had had all the walking I could do for the day. I very much needed to prop a swollen leg on pillows for a while.

The rest of that evening ended with me doing some resting and some wandering,
and Brooklynn enjoying Magic Kingdom one last time. I don't have pictures of that, because, of course, I was not there.

Movies on the lawn seem to be popular.

When it rains, they show movies in here.

I have that mug on the left - I use it for my AM coffee!

That was so sweet of Marc and Anita to take Brooklynn with them to Magic Kingdom!

I love the Little Orange Bird and the bride and groom pins! So cute!

It looks like a good one. :thumbsup2 A little bit of Disney to start each day is a good thing. ::yes::

Yes, they are very good to our girls - and to us! :)

The pins are cute. I look forward to getting a new Flower and Garden Festival pin in March.

I would love to stay at wilderness lodge someday. I keep think do switching there instead of the poly but the kids want poly. I'm from Oregon and kinda miss my trees.

Lovely pictures on your boat ride from WL.

I must remember to pick up those Mickey & Minnie bride/groom pins when I am there the week before the wedding for Mark and Alisha.

I'm sure we have some photo pass pics somewhere of our MK night. The others are or were on my phone.
You see, it's now Marc's phone and when he got it there were over 7,000 photos on it.
He is not happy with me.
I don't know why. :confused3

Anyway, picture this in your mind. The girls dragging Baylor on Barnstormer over and over and over.....

Any kind of boat ride makes me happy, especially Disney ones! Disney ones when you have the boat all to yourself are flat out wonderful! :) I bet Brooklynn had a blast at MK with miss Anita and her crew! And I'm glad you got to relax a little!

Maybe next time? At least a visit to Wilderness Lodge for a meal, maybe. It's always nice to go sit out on the big porch/balcony after dinner and just soak in the atmosphere.

Poly is nice, and we have never stayed there, but it is on the list, for sure! :thumbsup2

That will be a sweet gift. I am thinking of some little way I can sneak a little Disney into Trent's wedding. ;) Maybe a Hidden Mickey in the rope lights?

Those cast members don't look very happy...

I thought the same thing when I was there in person, as they were not 'friendly'. The lady looks like she is being punished by having to stand out there. They were probably just bored and hot.

I can clearly see that picture. As bad as her first ride on Barnstormer was, she is a huge fan now! :)

And I remember you texting about where to get a mixed slush, but by the time you got there (by Teacups), they were closed.

She did. She really got the royal treatment between calling the shots when she was with me and then getting to go off with them and be such a big girl. Oh, and those midnight swims - she thought she was big stuff staying out so late!

I've been reading along but not find a chance to post for a while.

Glad you had a good Christmas and New Year with some nice family time. We spent lots of time at home - now the girls are 3 and 5 it was more fun to have pyjama days and invite people to us instead of the usual rushing around ::yes::

I too have that mug in your last set of pics - I like starting the day with a little Disney memory. And after a bit of resort hopping to WL on our last trip, seeing your photos brought back a few sweet memories too :)

I bet Brooklyn had a blast with Anita and Marc, and I would have rested at Pop, too, for a little bit!

I walked around a little, but as best I can recall, I laid up in the bed most of the time they were gone. ;)

I think boat is my favorite Disney transportation! :boat:

How nice of Anita and Marc to take Brooklynn to the MK! :goodvibes

Boating is something most of us don't don't on a regular basis, so it is unique and fun. Of course, I don't bus or monorail to most places I go, either, so most all DIsney transportation is something different for me.

They were very nice to let her come along and have that last big hurrah!

I've enjoyed your FB of the girls.

Pajama days are nice. ::yes:: I hope we can get a couple of snow days so I can have some pajama days.

After you have been in a resort (or wherever else) in Disney World, it's so easy to sense yourself being there when people post pictures. You can smell the smells and hear the music and feel the breeze or whatever makes that spot special.

I was going to say the same thing!

I would guess neither one is up for employee of the year or anything.

Christine has sent two pictures today from the safari. She said the crowds are low now, and they have done three safaris. She sent one picture of elephants and one of mingos. Wish I could skip school some January and enjoy the low crowds.

In Classic Hall - shadow boxes.
