I don't know where I'm a gonna go when the volcano blow.......

Well..........I do........to the car wash :p :p :p

The volcano that Jimmy Buffett sang about is in Montserrat (about 300 miles S.E. of here) and she blew her top again early Sunday morning. Well all of us Virgin Islanders woke up to a coating of volcanic ash over our houses, plants and cars. What a mess.

OK...so I have to put up with a hurricane every now and then, I'm used to that, but this volcanic ash stuff HAS GOT TO GO !!!!

I think I'd rather have snow than that Linda. Good luck, stay safe!

Ugh, Linda, I had no idea she was getting cranky again! That stinks.

Get thee to the car wash woman!!!!

How bad was the eruption? Was it as devestating as the last one?

It was a bad one, but luckily most of the population of the island had been evacuated long ago so there were no injuries.

Just a yucky, muddy, mess.

A real pain in the ash! Otherwise I hope you are well! I have yet to get to Acadia National Park this year, if memory serves me correctly it's you who loves it so there isn't it?

Yuk!!!

You don't want a hurricane to come and clean everything off, do you Linda? ;)

Sorry you have such a mess to deal with!

You are soooo right on both accounts Ms. Mermaid !!!! It is a real pain the the ash and I do soooo love Acadia National Park. I bet they don't have any ash there :p :p :p

Princess Aurora.....I did stop. Actually it was really weird how it came down to begin with. The way that it was explained to me is that the volcano makes it's own weather. The dust goes up into the clouds and collects moisture on the particles. As the particles get heavier, they fall to earth in the form of rain. But the rain isn't water, it's mud. It wasn't so bad that we had to shovel anything, but just yucky and messy. It looks like everyone went 4-wheeling in their vehicles.

I can't believe you're 300 miles away from it and you got covered in ash

If you need help cleaning up, I could fly down and give you a hand ;)
