I don't appreciate this

So, I bought a media centre on eBay for $110, incl. postage. Nothing spectacular, but interesting nonetheless.

Got it today, opened it up and oh dear, smashed to bits.

I got right in touch with the seller asking for a refund as the product arrived damaged and unfit for purpose, as per eBay regulations. I even offered to pay for postage both ways.

What does he offer? $20.

Am I right to feel a little rotten about this? Somewhat the wiser when dealing with eBay? Tell me what to think DIS!

Contact eBay. And maybe stopped buying/selling there. You seem to have quite a few horror stories.

I'm what you might call a hive volume buyer. Mostly small, cheap things like cables and whatnot, but occasionally something a bit bigger, like this. I always check feedback, for volume and credibility of feedback. This seller looked legitimate. However, he REALLY should have been been more genuine with a complaint, I feel.

Just report it to ebay's resolution center and send photos. No reason you should pay to return it or be out any money.
