I do not understand about insurance when hiring a car!!

Hiya!
I used my Avios to hire a car in the U.S with British Airways - the car rental place is Avis. I have previously hired cars through Enterprise with cash and paid something like $15 a day for insurance on top of the car hire price which is fine but I don't see anything similar for Avis.

British airways state that my booking includes;
UNLIMITED MILES
Tax and Surcharge
Additional Liability Insurance (ALI)
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
CUSTOMER FAC FEE
COUNTY SURCHARGE
FACILITY MTNC FEE

So, does this include insurance?? If not, will they offer it to me when I get there?

Yes it does include the insurance.

Firstly, yes insurance is included, although that might not stop them trying to sell you more at the desk. Unfortunately agents work on commission and try sell you things you don't always need.

Secondly, why rent thru Enterprise in the past? they have to be one of the most expensive out there, just got a quote for 2 weeks at £281 for smallest car for 2 weeks without insurance (almost every other UK company includes insurance) elsewhere the same rental would be around £100 less including insurance. Not sure I have ever seen anyone post they have used Enterprise before. Do you get lower rates for some reason?

I travel to the US a lot but only one particular small town to see family. The only car rental place they have is Enterprise so I always get stuck with them. Although it did work in my favour once when I booked a compact, the only car they had left was a Mustang convertible so they had to give me that!
