I am a family of 6. I want to at least 2 charc break and 1 dinner. I want to stay in a place with a nice pool and I want to be the first to enter the park. I am not getting a car. If I take a shuttle I want to be there early come back and go again around three? Where do I stay. I am on a budget. :earsgirl: :earsboy: princess: princess: princess: princess:

With your large group, you might be well off by going over to the DVC Rent/Trade Board and look into renting points for a 2 bedroom unit in order to stay onsite.

If you won't have a car I'd check into staying onsite. It's just easier.

DVC will be expensive, even when renting points. Over $200/night. Would your budget cover that? The least expensive onsite option is generally getting 2 rooms at a value resort (pop century, all star resorts).

If you go with offsite, there are a lot of options with enought space. The problem is the transportation. It varies! We always have a car so that we have more control.

How old are your kids? With a variety of ages it's really nice to be able to split up and use the onsite transportation.

It'll take a while to sort it all out, but it's fun!

Given those criteria, I don't think you have any choice but to stay onsite at a Disney hotel (and pay the prices that come with that choice). DVC rental is also an option, though a pricey one as mentioned above.

Why no car? You could have way more choices offsite if you had your own transportation. You could come and go whenever you want on your schedule. Forget trying to use a shuttle to be first in the park or to return to your room mid-day and come back later. You can do that with your own car but very unlikely with a shuttle. Plus the prices are so much cheaper offsite that you would save enough to pay for the rental car.

Renting points for 2 studios would bring the price down, but you would be split up into 2 rooms that don't connect to each other. On the plus side, you will have 2 mini-kitchens and the pools are a lot nicer than the value resorts.

*You will not have a car.
*You want to be the first at the parks.
*You want to come and go and come back to the park around 3pm.
*You want a nice swimming pool.
*You want a character meal.
*You're on a budget.

*Sounds like you need to stay on sight! You can take advantage of the Disney transportation.
*You can take advantage of the Early Entry to the park (for disney resort guests only~certain days/certain park).
*You can take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours (for disney resort guests only~certain days/certain park)
*You can come and go as you please and still be right in WDW property.
*You will get a themed pool...Fun pool!
*You can use the Disney transportation (kind of tricky on how to get there depending on where you're staying and which character meal you're doing) and head to many different character meal. You can do character meal at Epcot, MGM, MK and AK.
*I would suggest 2 rooms at the All Stars or POP Century. You get 2 bathrooms, 2 tvs, 4 full size bed, you'll have plenty of space.

when do you want to go?

sometimes OKW 2 studios are a good buy - sometimes 2 rooms in a value resort are the best - just depends.

if you go with 2 studios - remember no housekeeping and one person in each room must be over 18.

with the value resorts you can get connecting rooms - so your children can be in the other room without you.

Ok I am possibly going to do all star movies. I called and for all of us it is 3,000 and some change. I am going to do 2 extra ch breakfast with my whole fam that should run me about 200 include tip. $3,000 seems high - when and for how long are you staying?

also does this include the tickets or the disney dinning?

Did you check on the Ft Wilderness cabins? They sleep 6 and have a kitchen. We have 3 rooms booked at Pop with a code for $69 each but the cabin would have been about $170 or about the price of 2 rooms. Just a thought. I agree with everyone do not stay off site without a car! Codes for summer could appear any time now so watch the resorts board, you can call and have your price adjusted if there are rooms left. :flower:

It is for 7 nights and 3 adult passes 2 child passes magic your way. 2 rooms at all star. If they send me the post card with the discount rate can I still get my meals? By the way my 2 meals are included for the price :earsgirl: :earsboy: 4 princess: princess: princess: princess:
