I do get to go! I do get to go! A trip that almost wasn't! Update 1/25

OKW is so nice, you are so lucky you got to stay there! We had family friends who stayed there the summer before last and I stayed at their villa for a night to babysit their sons and I fell in love with it. DF promised me someday we can own DVC and I want to stay there so bad! I want to try all of the villas at least once, we stayed BWV last year and I loved that too.

You used to be a lurker too?! I can be a smidge shy sometimes, even over the internet but everyone on here is so nice, it's hard not to post and now I do it a TON!

OKW is amazing. Plain and simple. I could've easily lived there. Our '07 trip, we got to walk through a preview of what the AKL Villas were going to look like and we definately want to give that a try!

When we began DVC, we stayed at the WL Villas because we wanted to be close to the MK. But this past trip we wanted to try OKW because we had heard that the rooms there are bigger and it's true! Okay want my entire list? I don't remember how many times and exactly what years but I can tell you where we've all stayed and we've stayed at each one (besides OKW) more than once:

Grand Floridian
Poly
Contemporary
WL Villas
OKW Villas

When you do something, you do it right, don't you???
Those are all awesome places to stay!

I love the vacation feel of Old Key West. We've only gone over there once, but it was a beautiful place on a beautiful day, and I have a good memory of my one visit.

Six months is not too far away to start a pre-trip. I've seen them for well over a year. As long as you're hanging around here somewhere, it's all good.

They are all great places!!! We have some great old school pictures from all these places. I wish our scanner worked so I could share them! Okay....maybe not ALL of them. Some of them are pretty hideous.

OKW is so relaxing. We never had a problem with noise or anything. We never did swim because B/F wasn't with and that's something he loves to do and it just didn't feel the same for us. We had a patio outside our room and it had a ceiling fan with a light on it, so we would go out there some nights after getting back and just sit there and relax. Some mornings we did make it out there to eat breakfast as well.

Six months is not too far away to start a pre-trip. I've seen them for well over a year. As long as you're hanging around here somewhere, it's all good.

I will start a PTR soon, and when I do, you'll know!

Yes I agree, you have definitely stayed in some great places. I love the monorail resorts, not only are they lovely resorts but its so great being that close to MK. And its just so easy to get there. You should definitely stay in the contemporary vacation club and AKLV, they both look amazing.

That's the main reason we've stayed at those resorts-the MK is our fav!

Mine too. I do love all the parks but there is something special about MK, its just so magical. Oh I can't wait to be there again, only 3 1/2 more months

Yep we'll be stopping in Nashville for the night and of course stopping at Opry Mills! We usually eat supper at the Rainforest Cafe so we'll be there at night so hopefully you won't be at work!
