... is there one on Disney property? Can you recommend a fantastic place near GF that has frou-frou, skinny, non-fat flavored lattes? I'm surprised I have not seen a thread about this considering all of the caffeine needed for early rope drop! :yay: :dance3:

There are no Starbucks on Disney property (I know!!) I only drink the frou-frou stuff too. Luckily for me, it's a every now and then thing, not an addiction.

Either the Swan or Dolphin have Starbucks coffee. However, they do not have the frou-frou drinks. I, unfortunately, am an addict. But I suffer the first three or four days at Disney without (I get a cappucino at the Pepper Market to hold me over) and then DH and I take a ride to the closest Starbucks on about day five when I'm dying to have my Starbucks! :rotfl:

There is a Starbucks not too far off property. Hubby likes DD coffee or Starbucks and I don't drink coffee. He's an early riser, so he'd get up in AM and head off to get his morning coffee. We had a Starbucks gift card too, so one day he asked one of the CM's where the nearest Starbucks was and then he started driving over there to get his drinks.

Have you checked this page out yet? I have found it helpful in the past:

Java Cafe at Shades of Green sells Starbucks coffee (All Ears says it's a "Starbucks kiosk").

Contemporary Grounds had good coffee last time we were there, and of course the Poly has some decent java.

As coffee purists, I'll tell you that DH & I travel with a portable french press. Yes, that may be over the top, but at least I leave my coffee mill at home. :rotfl:

Read this article about WDW coffee. It lists all the kiosks that are run by an outside source (Joffrey's) that serve brewed coffee. None are near the GF or in MK. I've had the best non-fat sugarfree hazelnut latte at the kiosks in Epcot's American pavillion right next to the turkey leg place. :goodvibes The Kiosks have a sign that say "Espresso and Pastries" it will not say Joffrey's Coffee.

Scroll down to the bottom of the article to read it in four parts. 4th being at the top.

Starbucks coffee is BREWED at the Dolphin, it's not a full-service Starbucks.

I don't know why I dislike Starbucks (I am a McDonald's girl), but the Kona coffee bar is fantastic!!!!! If you are looking for great coffee, it's really Hawaiian stuff:)

Do they have the frou frou stuff at Kona? Like frappachino? Or iced mocha? That is what I live for.... and especially on vacation. :surfweb:

The coffee place at Shades of Green had a partial menu of Starbucks drinks when we were there last. They did not have all of the syrup options, though. I'm a sugar-free caramel kind of girl.

I like McDonalds, but still prefer Starbucks because you can customize them better. Extra shots...more sugar free flavoring options...

Thank you for this very valuable info! I actually am considering taking my espresso maker with me. I am so picky about the skim milk, the sugar-free vanilla flavoring, and the 3-4 espresso shots. I get it twice a week-- the two days when all four littles go to school. It just REALLY gets me going for everything I must accomplish. Thank you, thank you!!!

Actually, thank you ALL for this info. Again, I NEVER drink coffee per se, so I guess I don't really care about the coffee part. :confused3 It's the preparation-- your posts pushed me to look more at Kona-- looks GREAT! It might be a nice little jaunt for DH + a couple of our children each morning (so Mama can get ready to take on the day!). :woohoo:

Very best to all,
Jeni

I'm not a coffee drinker but DH really an addict to it. :lmao: So, if we have a trip in Disney, he wakes up early to buy coffee in the nearest Starbucks.

if you still want your Starbuck's - you can go to Starbucks.com and on the home page is a store locator. type in Lake Buena Vista (if you are staying on property) and it will map out the closest Starbuck's. There are a couple in Celebration.
I am one that brings my coffee press with me.
Also, if you do press your own coffee and like iced coffee. Buy a bottle of your favorite syrup at your local Starbuck's and ask for the pump. Press your coffee stronger than you drink. Add your syrup and ice and milk if you like and you are good to go. It's not quite a iced latte, but it's good.

I am so addicted to Starbucks Non Fat Venti Quad vanilla lattes but the only place I have been able to get them is right off of the DTD area where all the fast food places and little motels are at

Main Street Bakery has a delicious Frozen Latte that rivals Frappachinos!!

The coffee place at Shades of Green had a partial menu of Starbucks drinks when we were there last. ...

You MUST have a military ID to get into Shades of Green. Not really an option for your average WDW guest.

I love starbucks coffee and specialty drinks especially their Venti Cafe Mocha with whipped cream. Although, I live in Dunkin Donuts land I think the coffee is too weak...I like something that will put some hair on my chest or wake up everybody around me because its so strong. Similar to other posters I would recommend Kona Island Cafe Coffee Bar...I just stayed at the Polynesian and it was a savior for my everyday mocha. I noticed others pointed you towards the allearnet site, but noticed nobody provided you the menu items so here you go:

http://allears.net/menu/menu_kcc.htm

Grown in Kona, Hawaii, Roasted in Orlando, Florida, Served in Disney's Polynesian resort at Kona Cafe

Kona Blend Coffee - Regular $1.99 Grande $2.59
Kona Blend Decaf Coffee - Regular $1.99 Grande $2.59
Espresso - Single $3.49 Double $4.49
Kappuccino - Regular $3.99 Grande $4.99
Kafe Latte - Regular $3.99 Grande $4.99
Kafe Mocha - Regular $4.49 Grande $5.49
Kafe Au Lait - Regular $4.29 Grande $5.29
Assorted Pastries and Desserts from the in-house bakery

NOTE: As someone already posted the coffee bar changes to a sushi bar at night, so as long as your looking for coffee during the morning you should be ok. I also asked while staying there whether or not I could get the mocha at night, and they stated they should be able to get it still but they would use the coffee machines in the Kona Cafe restaurant right beside it. I was curious about this since I wanted a coffee some nights while I was there.

great info! Starbucks addict here too- anything but their regular coffee LOL I will even settle for those little double shots cans when desperate LOL
I was considering bringing my new love- my dolce gusto machine LOL

So does anyone know if those Kona coffee drinks can use a snack credit? Also I saw some listed on that confirmed snack thread iin the DDP section- ones in Epcot- like in France- has anyone tried any of those speciality coffee drinks- how are they?
I am super picky- mainly as long as it doesn't taste *old* or *burnt* or *stale* KWIM?

lol. i almost attacked a poor girl on a bus one morning. i think it was our last full day and i saw this girl drinking a starbucks coffee on the bus. i hated to bother her but i really missed my venti soy caramel macchiatto so i of course asked where she had gotten it from. (imagine my moment of joy thinking there was one on property?) anyway - she sadly informed me she had just flown in that morning and got it at the airport. :( how it lasted that long i will never understand but there you have it. my heart was broken. :(

It's not coffee but if you like Chai, the Royal Anandapur Tea Company in AK has an awesome (sweet, not spicy!) chai freeze that is divine! :thumbsup2 It is sooo good on a hot day. The menu also has a mocha frost listed maybe it would be like a frappachinno :confused3
