The story about choking is too funny! I was wondering how that came into play.... And despite the strange food pairings, it still sounds like it was a very fun game around the World Showcase, what a fun idea! If I ever did that, I'm certain I would end up with America and the UK for one round and have to trek all over the place!

Isn't it funny how you miss the food between trips?! Caitlin was craving corn dog nuggets and was so excited to learn that A&W has them and she thought they were just as good as Casey's

Hi All! As you can see from my ticker, we only have 6 more days!!!!!! All 4 of us are packed and we are ready to go! We have some surprises planned that I can't wait to share with you all when we get back. It should be an interesting TR But right now it's time to travel back to May 11th......


Our day began early as Caitlin headed out to the SSR gym and Dale and I hung back at the room and got ready for the day. When Caitlin was done she stopped at the food court and got us all pastries for breakfast. After we ate it was her turn to get ready and then we were off to the bus stop. Our destination......the Magic Kingdom! We wanted to arrive for rope drop so we were at the bus stop around 8:20. We got there and waited. And waited. And waited! I'm not sure if we've mentioned this but SSR is one of those resorts (yes Port Orleans I mean you too) that IMO you need a car if you're staying there. The bus waits to go to the parks was frustrating. I don't understand why the values have superior bus systems to the deluxes. It just doesn't make sense. Anyway, a bus finally arrived and at 9:10 we made it to the MK. Yes, we missed rope drop! Luckily we had caught it earlier in our visit.

When we got in the park we split up. Caitlin wanted to ride Dumbo so she could she the building going on behind the wall. While she did that Dale and I were going to get fast passes for Space Mountain.

As we wandered through Tomorrowland Dale tried to get some "new to him" pictures.

Once we got the FP we headed back to Fantasyland

How is this for some wonderful advice?

And then we caught sight of the Beast's castle

Caitlin's favorite Disney movie since she was 2 is Beauty and the Beast. She had all the toys and the princess dress and the "village" dress. So we cannot wait for the new area to open. We're really looking forward to trying out the new restaurant!

As we neared Dumbo we texted Caitlin and she still had about another 15 minutes so we decided to ride Snow White's Adventure. I knew it was closing and wasn't sure if it would be there on our next trip (it will be, it's still open) so Dale and I walked on to the scary ride.

We then popped into Tinkerbell's Treasure shop which I think they changed the name to Castle Couture or something? Anyway, I love how the princesses dresses are on display!

Here is Aurora's dress. You can hear the fairies bickering over what color it should be and the dress changes color! Such a fun bit of magic!

I noticed that they had the curtain open for the studio where they take the BBB pics. I had Dale sneak in and get a picture of this dress....

How cute is that?! I have always preferred Cinderella's dress made by the mice and birds to the one the Fairy Godmother gave her.

As we exited the shop we ran into one of my favorite characters. She is practically perfect in every way!

At this point Caitlin was finally nearing the front of the Dumbo queue

When she was done we backtracked over to Pooh

Dale hadn't seen the new queue yet so he needed to check it out. He too was impressed.

Our next stop was to check out the line for the Tangled greet. It was long! Like over an hour long! We didn't stop, instead we just got some distant pics. In hindsight, if we had known Flynn was being removed in July we would have waited.

We then had a special treat for Dale. He loves to garden and the Rose Garden was in full bloom so we took him down the path. It smelled lovely and he was in heaven!

Once we dragged him out of the garden we headed over to the Monsters Laugh Factory. We got there a little early so we had time to take pics of the queue's theming

The show was fun even if none of us were chosen to be in it

After helping power Monstropolis we headed to Adventureland!

Along the way we saw a mermaid with legs and her prince!

We then stopped for a little shopping

I bought one of these bracelets

While Caitlin purchased this dress

(if you're keeping track this is the 2nd dress she bought in wdw)


All that shopping wore us out so we decided to take a relaxing jungle cruise

After our exotic cruise it was time to meet up with some pirates! When we got there we spotted a new, lady pirate.

Now if you've noticed, Dale doesn't get in many character pics. When he saw "Angelica" he was more than happy to get his picture taken!

(and look at that smile! he was a happy boy )

Once the meet and greet was over we set sail on a pirate adventure.

When we returned from the Caribbean it was time for lunch! Our lunch destination was out of the park so we headed out to grab the monorail.

I'll let Caitlin fill you in on our yummy meal, next time.

We love Epcot and MK in the spring. The flowers are just so beautiful!

At POR I like to have a car as a backup "just in case". I will readily admit I am not the most patient person and I hate waiting at the bus stop. Since Nov isn't that busy, and I think you are all early risers, I doubt you will have a problem. It is a lovely resort though and remains one of my family's favorites

We should have joined those dads on their "Rapunzel Run" on the previous Saturday. But of course hindsight is 20/20.

We had done both of those on previous MK visits that same trip and we end up doing them again later that day when we go back to the MK

I've never had the guts to sneak into the photo area to take a picture of Cinderella's dress. I've heard that Gus and Jaq are hidden somewhere back there too.

I'm so excited about the new Beauty and the Beast area. It was great just seeing the Castle when we were there in May. I can't imagine how cool it will be to walk through Belle's Village and eat in the ballroom.
