I didn't think it was abig deal, you only choked once!! Update 9/18 final thoughts

Ok, so bit by bit, I am getting caught up on various TRs. I hope the lost camera is just a small blip and that you find it with Dale or something. I hope?

Those donut holes are sooooo good, aren't they? A perfect snack. I feel like I can justify all the food I eat at Disney because I do so much walking (and sweating in the summer) around the parks.

Okay, I need to start packing myself instead of wasting time on the Dis. By the way, you should post pics of your military tickets! I want to see the red white and blue ones!

Glad you're all caught up :)

The camera wasn't with Dale but he was in charge of the search and rescue mission

Yes those donut holes are super yummy! I agree that you burn off the extra calories (thank goodness!)

Enjoy your trip! I'll have Caitlin include a pic of the tix in her next update :)

So if Queen leaves in a week, when do you guys leave? Two weeks.

I think you will be happy to know that I am finally over the trauma due to the fact that my AP is going to expire in a month without me using it again!

Yep two weeks from today we'll be at the Magic Kingdom. :cool1:

We so wish you were going to be there too! When are you going in 2012? We have to overlap sometime! :goodvibes

I cannot believe how close our trip is!!! 13 days!! Josh and I are still in Disney movie watching mode and this past weekend we watched Dumbo and Cars and last night we watched Brother Bear 2. Brother Bear 1 and 2 are such great movies! I had never seen them before and I was surprised by how good they were! I am really hoping we run into Koda at AK! Also here is one of our military discount tickets!

So we were looking for my camera when we last left off... We couldn't find it in the room after digging through everything so my dad and I decided to call the shop I bought the dress from. Well it is a pain getting in contact with that shop! They only have one phone line so they can only take a call at a time and the operator told me it wasn't guaranteed they would even answer the phone if they weren't already talking to someone :headache: Eventually after about 15 minutes my dad got in contact with them and yes I had left my camera in the dressing room :headache: So after we got ready my mom and I split up from my dad. He told us he would go get the phone and we should go to Epcot and we could all meet up.

Needless to say this was a bit of a set back! The CMs at the store decided to send the camera around Blizzard Beach so my dad had a hard time finding it  Luckily through the magic of texting and Disney buses we ended up at Epcot only 5 minutes before my dad. We all went through the turnstiles together and headed for a jalapeno margerita as my dad's reward for getting my camera

This was my dad's first time seeing the topiaries so we had to stop and take pictures!

Tonight we would be dining around World Showcase! I had heard about a game on the DIS where they picked different places to try different foods out of a bag so it was a surprise as to where they ate! Well my mom and I set up our own game we would all pick two appetizers, two entrees and two desserts and share them all. Well this seemed like a good idea at the time.... Anyway back to our trek to Mexico we got sidetracked by a bear :cutie:

I love the story book set up!

I also love that he is meeting with the characters in actual places in Epcot! I was so excited to meet him!

disneyday5092.jpg

We met Duffy and hugged him and he ended up being a huge flirt and we had to give him kisses

I think we will be spending quite a bit of time in here with the four of us :thumbsup2

Once we were done with the food and my dad was done with his first drink he ordered another to go

disneyday5039.jpg

and we headed to do our Kim Possible mission. I had picked one up on the way over because I thought they were a lot of fun. Now I don't know whether it was because I had already this one before or I just wasn't in the mood or what but after one clue we turned the Kim Possible mission in and headed to our next appetizer destination

We headed into the shops to do a bit of browsing and I had to try on a DIS inspired beret.

disneyday5048.jpg

Before we left I grabbed our entree destinations which were

disneyday5047.jpg

Italy and Japan!! This is where the game took a turn for the worse

I headed to Japan and got sushi and an udon noodle with tempura shrimp meal

disneyday5050.jpg

My parents headed to Italy

They were waited on by a cute boy and got pizza and an Italian beer for my dad.

disneyday5051.jpg

disneyday5052.jpg

Now this is when we found out the downside to the game not all countries' foods mix  Japan and Italy were not meant to be together  Despite our feeling sick I headed to our next destinations Morocco and Norway while my parents headed to the UK to listen to our new favorite band.

Once I got there I took a picture of the horrible tasting chocolate dessert and we must have eaten the Schoolbread pretty quickly because there are no pics of it

We were also treated to a special show!

After we were done we headed out of UK but not before I called my dad!

We have a joke in our family about how he would be the perfect man if he had hair so of course I said that on the phone

We headed on our way to our last ride of the night

and waited for quite a bit of time! I am glad we did though because we had an awesome bus driver! He played Tower of Terror with the wheelchair bound passengers by bringing up the elevator then making it drop down  He also joked and sang the entire way to SSR! It was so much fun!

Once we got back we headed to the food court to grab some drinks. My dad of course got another beer and by the time we got back to the room he was feeling pretty good. We were all sitting around laughing and talking and my mom went to take her medication. Well she choked on her pill and my dad and I heard her choking and coughing and my dad started cracking up. My mom came into the room and asked him what was so funny why wasn't he worried about her? Well my dad looked at her and with a completely serious face said " I didn't think it was a big deal you only choked once." I turned to him and I said "Dad you only need to choke one time!" We all started cracking up and this has become an ongoing joke in our family. So after you have one too many drinks around the World choking isn't a big deal

Pin I traded for today:

Loved the update. I love Epcot during Flower and Garden. Everything is so pretty and it looks like there are some new topiaries this year. I totally love the Tangled tower. I saw a post about how it lights up at night and you hear her singing. Classic!

Interesting idea for the eating around the world. I think I would do that more with either just appetizers or just desserts. I imagine it would get tiring (especially if I am hungry) and not all the foods would mix.

Finally heard how the title came to be. Love the story. :rotfl:

Thank you! Epcot during F&G time is amazing!

I loved the Tangled tower! She sang all day and night so it was quite magical walking past it and hearing her!

It was fun but it was tiring walking back and forth and you're right not all of the food mixed!

Thank you! It was definitely a fun night

I prefer the 'drink my way around the world', to the 'eat my way around' personally, although I may not get past….Mexico.

It looks like you had some yummy stuff! Bummer Japan and Italy Don’t mix! Who knew?:confused3

The video of Tiger and Poo dancing is just hilarious!!!

I am anxiously awaiting my first trip after I turn 21! Then I agree the drinking around the world will definitely beat out eating around the world! Though I will probably end up doing both  Yeah I am surprised when my dad makes it past Mexico :lmao: I think we could leave him there for the whole trip and he would be a happy man :cloud9:

I know pizza and sushi it sounds like such an amazing combo :sad2:

I know! I was so excited when they started dancing! I love how oblivious Tigger is to everything from the little girl to the woman dancing up on him  he is in the zone!

I've fallen behind in commenting, but I had to mention all the lovely pictures of Flower & Garden! For some reason, I've always thought it was mostly about the topiaries and indoor exhibits (probably because that's what most people photograph!) but there's really flowers everywhere! I'm glad they put something up for Tangled, even if they haven't gotten around to a meet and greet spot there yet.

I like the characters dancing! I wish they could have more of that in the parks, but I'm guessing the characters would get swarmed pretty quickly.

I guess Japanese food and pizza reallly don't go together. :rotfl2: But I'm sad to find out that Yakitori House is close now for refurb. So no Japanese CS for us when we get there. :sad1: It's DS's fav. CS especially what you got... Udon and Sushi Combo! I think we need to make a speical trip to Kimono at Swan once we get there. I got our restaurant.com $25 certificate for $2, so we'll get good use out of it.

I love all the pictures of Epcot. They are lovely and beautiful. Also, you must be very relieved to have your camera back, Caitlin.

Thank you for commenting! The entire Epcot area is just gorgeous with all of the flowers! There were tons of things we didn't even photograph so there are literally tons of exhibits all over the place!

I loved the Tangled tower but I think it was just for the Flower and Garden festival :confused3

I loved it! I wish they did too but I think they are usually too busy taking pictures with people  Pooh and Tigger had just gotten done for the day so on their way backstage they stopped and danced for a bit :cutie:

Yeah our stomachs hurt a bit after that  I decided we won't be playing that game again

Aw well the same sushi is sold all over the place so if you were just going for the sushi you can get it at Sunshine Seasons or at the resort food courts :thumbsup2

Awesome! We got a certificate for one of the other restaurants there that we need to use. We buy the certificates for when we are Disney then we never have time to use them

Thank you! I was very relieved! I just kept thinking well our TR will be very suspenseful

That he was!! He almost knocked the little girl down. I don't know how he didn't, actually.

I just noticed we will be there at the same time as you in 2 weeks! We are bursting with excitement because its so close!!! :yay:

Yay!!!!! :woohoo::woohoo: We are too! There is still a bit of planning and re-arranging going on here  Hopefully we can finish our TR in time!

We will keep our eyes open for LGMHs! Hopefully we run into you!

This was a really great update!!!
Your pictures of the topiaries were REALLY pretty. Especially the ones in the beginning! Wow. I'm glad you found your camera!
That was a super cool idea to eat around the world! I should definitely do that sometime! Then you get to try a lot of stuff! (even if they don't mix... it's still a cool experience!)
Your bus driver sounds like he was awesome!
And LOL to the story... I'm glad your Mom was okay! Geez that could have been bad! At least it turned into a funny story :rotfl:
