We would have loved to meet up with you! I hope our dates overlap in the future! I thought about moving our trip up a week but we have our plane tickets and to switch them they would have charged us $300. We only paid $380 for both so that definitely wouldn't work.

Dale and I think Caitlin's new bf is a great guy so we're all excited that the guys are joining us

I am so excited!!! I can't wait only 45 days Yeah I am a type a personality person though so it does drive me a little bit crazy that I am going to miss it

Thank you! That's why I am so excited! It will be awesome to see the World through a newbie's eyes! We have never taken someone with us that hasn't been to Disney before so this is quite a treat!

If we hadn't already bought our airfare we would have switched dates but the airfare tied us down. It was odd that school started so early since this is my 4th year and every year before we started on September 7th

Yeah it is odd this year. I also don't get why they would start it this early since the Monday after is Labor Day and we get that off anyway

Hi All! So today I am going to give you a little "real life" update. Yesterday was my birthday and we spent the very hot day visiting 2 of southeastern lower Michigan's top tourist attractions. We went to Greenfield Village at the Henry Ford and to a Tiger game at Comerica Park. Caitlin took tons of pictures (big surprise huh) with her dad's camera as practice for our vacation next month. Since Detroit gets such a bad rap around the country we thought we'd share and show you some lovely images from around the Detroit area....

We are annual pass holders at The Henry Ford (a historical museum and village) and yesterday was the Ragtime Street Fair. They had live musicians and dancers....

Being funded by the Ford's there are of course plenty of antique cars...

There are historical buildings you can tour...

Of course it wasn't just Caitlin and I, our boys joined us....

The boys enjoyed learning to use stilts...

On our way out Caitlin had to take an MEK tribute photo....

When we left we headed straight to Comerica Park where we'd watch the Tiger's lose to the White Sox.

We were surprised to find an old friend from Florida there....

We also saw a friend from NYC

Our seats were really high up (thats what you get when you decide only 2 weeks in advance)

But they offered a great view of the city skyline...

On the way out, Caitlin found more photo ops....

Well as I said the Tiger's lost and it was terribly hot and steamy but I had a great day spent with my favorite people.
