I didn't forget about you!! - Day IV - Candlelight Processional

You're more likely to get the extra day at the cheaper hotel. LOL

:lmao: You're absolutely right! Really, the Boardwalk is just a dream, @ $300 more than POFQ per night during the holiday season, even I can't justify it!

Before we went, DH mentioned that he doesn't want to plan everything out and run from one side of the parks to the other grabbing FP's and I just  and said yeah yeah, but I'm glad he said that. If you go during a really busy week like that and think to yourself that you just may not get on everything, you won't stress out. We walked around alot, took in the sights, saw the parades and had a great time. We tried to do as much as we could, but didn't stress out if we didn't get to anything.

That's what I'm thinking, but I have two teenagers and they probably won't feel the same way. :sad2: They will want to hit the rides. They'll just have to get their lazy butts out of the bed so we can get to the parks early. :rolleyes2

If you have teens that don't like to get up early, my advice would be to take advantage of the PM Extra Magic Hours. DD & I did soooo much when we stayed at MK until 2 AM!

I can't wait to hear about your experience in Pixie Hollow. When we were there I had to wait close to an hour to meet the fairies too. But it was worth it, atleast in my opinion!

It is sooooo worth it (as you will see)...

I'll try to get my next post up between today (have to clean when I get home, but screw cleaning right) or tomorrow (if I clean today then it will be tomorrow):thumbsup2 .

I have so much :laundy: to do it's ridiculous! I can' t understand how I empty the bathroom hamper and it fills right back up again. Aaand, there are clothes in the kids rooms that weren't put in the hamper!:sad2:

Thanks guys for reading and being so patient. We haven't even gotten to the really MAGICAL stuff yet!!pixiedust:

Where'd we leave off? Oh yeah, that's right!! Pixie Hollow!!

Finally, a CM opened the double fire doors and we're lead into a dark forest where fairies waited to meet us!:cool1:

First we saw Iridessa and she looked so pretty in her sunny, yellow dress. I don't have my Photopass picture of her yet, but here's the video I took...

She was very cute. She asked the kids their names and joked for a bit, but then pulled them right in for a picture.

Then we slid over to wait for Tink and that's when the trouble started! I had dressed DS that day in a shirt that we found in the Disney store. Unforrrrtunaaateelly, that shirt has a pirate: on it. Well, Tink didn't like that...

She saw DS's shirt and said what's that? She was soooo cute. She came over to DS and asked him "Are you a pirate?" and when DS said no, she said "Good!" and went back to taking pictures with the little girl she was with.

Then it was our turn to meet with her and she didn't disappoint. This was the best CM casting ever! This girl played her character so well that you SERIOUSLY felt you were meeting a pixie! We wound up spending a good amount of time with Tink. When it came time to take our pictures she said "Cheese the mouse!" Since we hadn't seen the Tinkerbelle movie yet, I thought she was talking about Mickey!! If you haven't seen the movie yet, please do so. It's really great!!!

Next up was Rosetta. She seemed a little more shy and quiet than the other two, but she was really pretty! I think Michael thought she was really pretty too. Look at the sly smile on his face!! :lmao: He's such a pirate: !

I thought PH was well thought out and really pretty. I'm glad they added it to Toontown.

Well, there you have it. That was Pixie Hollow. I have to go cook and clean now, so I'll see you guys later!!

Pixie Hollow looks really cool and your kids seem to be having a great time interacting with the fairies! I love that Tink got on to you for dressing your DS in a pirate shirt! :lmao:

Our Photopass photos were about to expire today so we sucked it up and bought the CD last night. I can't believe how much they are!!

Haven't had time for a good update lately, but I will get there soon!!!

Thanks for sharing the Pixie Hollow videos and pictures.
Really cute. I'd love to be Tink.......course, I look more like Ursula lol

Aww, I love the Pixie Hollow update! The videos are really cute and that Tinkerbell seems really awesome. I think I met the same Iridessa as you did.

Thanks! I've been on the Dis to see what's going on, but we've had such a busy week I haven't had time to really add to my TR. My FIL had hip replacement surgery on Friday and it's been a nervewracking lead up to that. Thank God, he made it through okay. He's in ICU right now and we're still praying for his recovery:cheer2: . He has severe T2 diabetes and a weak heart so DH was scared (but of course held it in) so I've been trying to be the voice of positivity. I lost my dad to a stroke almost ten years ago, so I know how hard it is to lose a parent.

Anyhoo, I'm back and while sitting and watching the Superbowl (GO CARDINALS!), I'll be typing the TR, so sit back, relax, have some chips and dip and I'll have a new post in the TR up soon!!

Glad to hear FIL's surgery went okay.

I'm rootin' for the underdogs too........

Well, after spending our time in Pixie Hollow, we were led out of a tunnel, where we magically grew and grew until we were normal size again. We shopped around in the store for awhile and then the kids decided that they wanted to custom make Mr. Potato Head dolls...

Did we let them buy them? Uh, no. Not at $20.00 a pop. Besides that's just more junk to fill the floors in their bedrooms:thumbsup2 .

We then left the store and navigated our way through the serious crowd that had overtaken Toontown:crowded: . Seriously, it was crowded!!

When we crossed the bridge to Fantasyland, we saw that Donald was out in his tree lot and we stopped to take a picture.

Disney2008284.jpg

We then headed over to Frontierland and got right in to see the Country Bear Jamboree. DS loves the Blood on the Saddle song and said that the bear reminded him of his grandpa;) .

Since everything was pretty full, we decided to go to Casey's and get some hot dogs. The parade was coming and I forgot that this is a viewing hotspot for the parades, so we hovered and hovered and hovered :bitelip: over the people who weren't eating until we finally got a table:thumbsup2 .

Here's Bobbi waiting for her father and brother to get out of the bathroom

After eating, we were tired, so we decided to head out of the park, but the parade was still going and we found ourselves in front of Candy Cane Gardens. We stopped to take some pictures...

While taking pictures, a very nice couple from Connecticut told us that Santa stops there after the parade. We immediately jumped into the line behind them and waited for his arrival.

We were able to get some great pictures. Most of them were taken by Photopass and we ordered the CD so I should be getting it this week. They captured some really great shots of Santa asking the kids about what they wanted for Christmas. Here's our family picture with Santa...

.

After seeing Santa, we walked towards the Contemporary to take the monorail. Okay, side story here...before Christmas, DS Michael watched the Jeff Dunham Christmas special and fell in love with Achmed the Terrorist. If you don't know who I'm talking about, here's a short video...

Jeff Dunham Christmas Special

Anyway, on our walk to the CR, we see a guy with a t-shirt that says "Silence! I Kill You!" and DS points him out. The guy stopped to chat with us for a bit and we got a picture of Michael with him...

Disney2008298.jpg

We're such great parents, we make all sorts of good stuff happen for our kids;) .

We continued our walk to the CR and I caught a touching moment with DH & DD. Is he trying to choke her or hug her? You decide...(Just kidding, he's hugging her!)

We also got to see the Bay Lake Towers being built. It looks really nice!
