I wish I was kidding!
So last night at 2am, I woke up with a sharp pain in my foot. It wasn't so bad at first, but it just kept getting worse and worse. By 7am, I couldn't even let a blanket cover my feet without the pressure (of just a blanket!) killing me!

By the time I showed my mom, it was a little swollen and there was a bruise starting to form. She didn't want me to go to school, but I went anyway because I had just missed a whole week to the flu. She let me go under the promise that I would see the nurse first thing, so I did. The nurse sent me right home for X-rays. The thing is, how the heck did I hurt it while I was SLEEPING?!?!

Anyway, my appointment is later, I'll update when I get back. Until then, prayers would be so appreciated. I really don't care if it is broken, but I can't live with a big cast on! It's my driving foot, and I sort of need that to get to work and school! :worried:

Ah, ouch! Hugs!! I hope it isn't broken. :(

oh no! Sending good wishes and pixie dust your way. pixiedust: Let us knw what the doc says.

Please let us know how you are doing sound serious. Prayers and pixie dust going your way.

Owww you poor thing! Big hugs. I don't know if you could walk if it's really
broken, but I'm hoping it's somehow just a bad sprain!

Big hugs.

sounds like blood clots, or preasure. Do you wear tight socks, or anckle bracelets?? Or with the blood clot theory did you not move your foot for a long time

OMG Be Be!!! No way! :scared1: Hugs and lots of glove!!  Sounds terribly terrible and painful!! :sad2: I hope to hear from you be be! For now I am sending lots of pic.sea dust and prayers for you! :wizard:

I'm so sorry! I hope its not broken. Maybe you slept-walked into a table? :confused3
Hope it gets better soon!

:rotfl2: We had thought of that! But I think that if I actually hurt it by sleep walking or something, that I would have noticed and waken up from the pain (I don't think waken is a word... lol).

I got X-rays done, and THANK GOODNESS it isn't broken! Although I have a bruise on my bone, and need to be extra careful as not to cause a stress fracture.

After discussing everything with my doctor, we decided that it was an injury that I got from marching band this past fall that flamed up again. Ibuprofen, ice, and lots of rest is the prescription.

If you think of me over the next week or two, send some pixie dust and prayers that no more damage is done, because it will be easy for a fracture to develop with my bone being so weak. Thanks for the wishes thus far!

Wow... glad to hear it isn't broken :) But I'm sorry to hear that you're in so much pain. I hope you feel better soon! pixiedust:

your doctor didn't say anything about chocolate milkshakes? :goodvibes

hey, ibuprofin will take away the physical pain, chocolate will take away the mental pain! :thumbsup2

Sending prayers and pixie dust . Hope that you are completely well soon.

Where is the pain? Sounds like it could be a heel spur now from what the doctor said. I hope not for your sake because if it doesn't get better on it's own the treatment is very painful. Keep us updated and good luck I hope it gets better soon! :grouphug:

Hehe... I wish YOU were my doctor! :goodvibes

Stacey, it starts around the middle (up and down-ways) toward the outside edge, and runs up to the start of my smallest two toes. ...if that makes sense. The pain is on the top of my foot, not the bottom.

Did it show up in X-rays?
They said there was no break... I'm sure they would have said something if there was anything esle.

Sorry to hear it hurts so bad, but hey that does gives you more Vmk time.:rolleyes1 Hope it gets better soon. Do I want to know what this marching band accident was? I had marching band this year so it can be very dangerous :lmao:. Of course if my sister was around then it would have actually really been dangerous.
Best of luck!

did not show up on x-ray,but there was a hint that there was something wrong. it was not broken at all, two bones were growing together, ouch.
we had to have an MRI and the a CAT scan to verify what it was!!! it can be very painful
google it and decide for yourself.

The only thing that seems weird to me, is that the pain woke me up in the middle of the night... like it came on all of a sudden. Was it like that, or was it a growing soreness? I would think you'd feel pain gradually with tarsal coalition.
