I did it!!

Well, I did it-- I purchased 150 points at Saratoga Springs directly from DVC today!

I took the 150 point developer point bonus since I already have two more trips planned-- one in October, and one in January...

I'm not too worried about getting reservations in January, but I'm on pins and needles until tomorrow to find out if I can get a studio at OKW in October-- My guide checked and there was availability as of today for my dates, but the people who do the paperwork were backed up so my number won't be in the computer until tomorrow!! She marked it so that it could be expedited, so hopefully I will be in the computer at 9AM, but if not, I won't be able to call until noon! This is as stressful as waiting for AP codes for regular resorts!!

An update, as expected, I got all of my nights in January (3 BWV preferred view, 3 BCV)

In October, as of Yesterday, they had all of my nights available. When I called this morning at 9, they had 4 of the 5 nights available, but they still did not have my membership number. I called Sales back, and one of the reps said she would try to put a hold on the nights for me. By the time she was able to do that, only 3 of the 5 nights are available!! I really only needed 4/5, and will stay the first night on cash at AKL, but one of the nights is right in the middle (I'll be there Oct. 14, 15, 16, 17, 18-- 14 and 17 are unavailable). They said there was no DVC availability at ALL on the 17th, any room!!

I can't get on a waiting list because I'm using developer's points for this trip, so I'll be calling constantly calling to see if anything opened up!

Welcome Home to SSR!!! Congratulations from a fellow new SSR owner. Don't tell anyone though, because I haven't yet broken the news to all the posters on my "SSR Stop Me I Must Be Crazy" thread.....ooohhh, some of them are going to think I am nuts. OH WELL.

I am taking the 150 points for my Feb trip. Can't wait.
