A few weeks ago I posted a thread on here about problems with the keyboard on my lap top - several keys sticking like crazy - and asked if it would be difficult to replace.. You folks responded and one even provided a You Tube link that showed exactly how to do it..
I went ahead and ordered it - but when it arrived last Saturday I still wasn't sure if I should tackle it myself - or wait for my Dson-in-law to do it in the evening when they came up from the lake.. While I "have" the money to buy a new lap top if need be, it's not something I "want" to spend money on since this one is only 4 years old..
So I sat here reading - kept glancing over at the new keyboard sitting on the table - and finally decided, "What the heck.. I'm going to try it on my own and if I get to a point where I'm not 100% what to do, I'll just stop.."
Found my tiny set of screwdrivers that I knew I would need and very carefully went to work..
Took me all of 5 minutes and I was good to go!!
Nice to know I can still do something right..
Should this one start to stick, I won't hestitate to buy a new one again.. Very inexpensive - and it's soooooo nice to type without the keys sticking.. (Not to mention I can now see the letters that I had worn off the old keyboard - LOL..)
