We are excited! This is something entirely different for our family. Christmas at Disney !!!! Does anyone know if we can get Santa to deliver a few presents under the Wilderness Lodge Christmas tree for our 2 boys? Seriously, would it not be a great idea for our 2 boys to wake up and go to the Wilderness Lodge Christmas tree and see a couple of presents there for them? For anyone that has been to Disney at Christmas, what magical ideas are there to do for kids???? Thanks and Go Vols!

Why not put up your own tree and put their presents under that tree? I'd hate to put something under a tree out by the general public. Then find it missing before we got there because someone with a similar name found it and took it.

The real news here is the fact that you were even able to book a room at VWL at Christmas! This is probably the most difficult request for any DVC time frame/resort combination. Hold on to these ressies for dear life. Also have fun!

About that gifr under the tree...... I have a suggestion:

I did this for my husband on our DCL Christmas cruise last year

I ordered a gift from the gift shop (they wrapped it free on the cruise, not sure about WL mercantile) to be picked up 12/25. That morning I suggested we go to the gift shop and look around. While he was looking, I retrieved the gift and placed it under the tree outside the shop. Got him to leave and said "look! A gift is under the tree! Why don't you open it??" Worked great. Not sure how well a gift would sit under the huge tree in the WL lobby but I'll bet it would be great under the one in VWL lobby. I'm sure anyone sitting in that area would be glad to guard the gifts till the kiddos got there (well if I was there I would guard'em for you!).

Wow - congrats, seems like there is nothing ever available unless you book at the 11 month window, or get on the wait list and have a little luck at Christmas time.

We were there just after Christmas 2005 and someone told us that Santa himself was actually in the WL lobby on Christmas Eve. Maybe if you called the hotel you could find out if this will happen again - maybe your children can get their gifts directly from the "big guy" himself. Have a wonderful trip - WL is just beautiful at Christmas.
