I Did It, I Really Did

I'm so excited. I just got back from a 2 week stay @ BWV and had a blast. Went to the STS DVC presentation and just boughts 250 points @BWV. I'm calling in tomorrow @ 6 a.m. PST, to book for NY's and hope that booking is as painless as buying was. I talked to several DVC members while there and everyone was very forthright and helpful ( I guess we really are one big happy family). I'm planning a 1 week stay with a group that I've been friends with for over 20 years. They would never do a Disney vacation, but I've made them commit to going to celebrate my 50th birthday in Jan '07. If any of you have any suggestions for making this the vacation they will never forget, please advise. I'm looking for all the help I can get as a Newbie. Thank you all. I

Welcome home. You may need to check how soon after buying that you can make reservations. You need to be in their system first and am not sure how long after closing that takes. Hopefully you will be in when you call. Goodluck and we are also BWV owners with 340 points. We love it there and all the other DVC resorts we have tried so far.

Congrats and Welcome Home.

May I suggest making ressies for the California Grill about an hour before the fireworks,and ask for a window table. Even if you cant get a window table you can go out on the deck to watch them. The food is excellent and the fireworks just make it a great experiance.

Plan a big birthday dinner at one of the great sit down restaurants at WDW! Try for California Grill or Jikos or Artist Point for something special!

First, Welcome to the DIS!!!! So glad you found us! :wave2:

BWV is my fave DVC resort also!

As others have said NYE is very popular so be sure to be on the phone when MS opens!!!

Spring break, Food and Wine, Thanksgiving, Early December and Christmas/NYE are the hardest to book....

And I just know all your friends will have a fine time at WDW, even if they do think so right now!
