...to see if I made it into the Yearbook, and I found my name on 4 threads:

Dis ID ABCs Game
Who Wants To Help Name
So Where Did Your Kids Get Their Names
What Are Your Favorite Names

Only one of the posts was actually about me, and in one of the others, someone suggests naming a dog Aisling! LOL

Did you ever do a Dis search on your own name to see if someone is talking about you??

Well I just did and there were 2 threads that my name appeared in that I had not replied in. One was on the DVC board and a person was thinking of buying into DVC and said, "Hey, I hear Divamomto3 got extra years on her SSR contract." Luckily, others informed him that every DVC member with a SSR contract has 12 extra years. (Maybe he thought I was sleeping with Michael Eisner or something? ) And apparently my name appears in the fanatical eye gouging Swan cheerleader thread! But it's 86 pages long so I guess I'll never know what they're saying about me!

I do searches every day on posts I have made, looking up things in reference.

I've done searches of my name before.

Actually if you check "Show results as posts" you can see the exact post that mentioned you.

That's one of the searches I run every one in a while.

Dan has this tendency to mention me in threads, and if he does that, I've gotta quote him.

Never did it before. I did now-- and it came up w/ 383 posts-- I'm assuming that includes anytime you are qupted too. I stopped looking after page 5 because it was taking me back to last summer's threads.

I just did a search & boy was I surprised. I found a wonderful thread wishing me a Happy Birthday:) I wish I would have noticed it sooner, my birthday was over a month ago. Atleast I was able to send a belated thank you. :) I also discovered that I am in the yearbook. :)

I dont know how to do a search:(

BUT if i am talked about GREAT LOL means SOMEONE cares LOL...

Wow, I didn't realize we could do searches like that (don't use the search feature often anyway, it always seems to be disabled when I think about it)

Everything that came up was quotes of my posts with responses by others except two very, very sweet things. And neither one of those sweet things were about me!!! LOL. They were both about Kelli (tc) and someone forgot to put the second 'l' in when writing her name. But I have to agree with both those folks, Kelli is a very nice person on the boards.

AISLING (pronounced Ash-ling) is an Irish word meaning a vision or a dream. The Aisling poems and songs were a phenomenon of the eighteenth century penal days, helping to keep alive among Irish people a knowledge of the past, a pride in their heritage and a hope for their future.

I've been called Ice-ling, Ace-ling, ***-ling, and Eye-ling!

A Dis friend of mine did a search and found the same thing! This was a Happy Birthday from months ago, and she feels terrible that she never checked the old thread.
